A MISSED CHANCE. A FORGOTTEN PAST. A LOVE THAT WON'T STAY BURIED... Two best friends. Seven years ago. One secret that changes everything.
I see her, and the past crashes into me like a tidal wave. The girl I was never supposed to meet. The one I never forgot.
She turns, laughter lighting up her face, and my heart pounds harder than it should. Something inside me recognizes her—even though I’ve spent years trying not to.
I take a step forward. She disappears onto the train. The doors slide shut.
No. No. No.
I lunge for the doors, but it’s too late. She’s gone. Again.
L. Steele loves to write romance novels featuring powerful men and strong women who bring them to their knees. When she's not writing she enjoys trading trivia with her filmmaker husband, watching lots and lots of movies, and walking nature trails.
WOW!!!!! Edward is one of the seven and a preist. If you think this book won't be steamy you are very wrong. I felt like I needed a cold shower while reading the whole book, you will be on the edge of your seat reading this!!!! 5*
Billionaire's Temptation is the prequel to a trilogy of Edward, Baron and Ava's story. It gives us a glimpse of Edward's life before he became a man of the cloth. We are introduced to Ava, who plays a pivotal role in his life as the story of Edward and Baron unfolds in the books that follow. Buckle up and hold on tight, its going to be one helluva blissful ride.
A riveting read that will hold your attention from start to finish, great characters and scenario This is quite a different read in this series of stories and I guarantee that you will be held totally captivated by the characters and the scenario that have been written so beautifully, I know you will have to read this book in one sitting as it is simply impossible to put down once you begin. This triad of characters are Edward, Baron and Ava and in have to say that it was amazing how these individual characters and their very complex life stories came together, at first you are un sure and then as the time passes an you become more immersed in the story and the wonderful way it has been written you become captivated and addicted and have to read to the very last page and discover the outcome. I guarantee that once you read this book you will not be able to wait and read the next book in the series, it has been written so wonderfully with such depth of feeling you cannot help but be captivated. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
To be completely candid....this book should actually be book two, with Vicious Billionaire's actually being book one!! Billionaire's Fake Fiance should then be book three, with the rest then following in order from there!! The problem is, that if you buy and then read them in the order shown on Amazon and numbered via the author, you'll find that they really are not in the correct order at all!! Again there are the silly mistakes, as there is in all of the books!! When you read Fake Wife, Sinclair states....to Summer....that it was Edward who got free and almost freed sinclair, but he got caught and tried to fight them off and there's no mention of Baron at all being free!! Yet in he other books, it's apparently Baron who got free and freed Edward!! It makes for confusing reading!! Was it Baron or Edward who broke free and so forth and so forth!!! But leaving that behind, the actual story was well written, so long as you ignore each mistake and left you thirsty for more!! I personally enjoyed it, with the mistakes ignored as best as I could. It's a shame that she doesn't have anyone actually picking up on these!!
This book is the prequel of Edward, Ava & Baron's trilogy (book 6, 7, and 8 of the Big Bad Billionaires series). It's a short story and takes place 6 months before the first prequel (book 0.5), has a short crossover with it, and ends in the present. Again we get a lot of history about "the incident". I wrote in my review for book 1 that I think Sinclair suffered the most, but now I'm not so sure anymore. Edward took it really really bad 😭 God, my heart is breaking for him. I know the end of the trilogy and I think everyone who is looking up L. Steele's books knows, that there is another Edward book, so it's not a secret that he doesn't get his HEA in the trilogy, and that breaks my heart again. Even though I know he is getting his HEA, but he is so sensitive... 💔 There is no spice in this book, it's "just" a little more backstory and prepares us readers for the trilogy. Don't miss reading it! I still don't know what happened with Edward and Baron during the incident, but I can't wait to read it. And sure the love triangle... 😱
Billionaires Temptation is Edaward and Barons beginnings after the incident. It drew me in from the start. I’ve wanted to know more about the two since I started reading about the seven. Both are elusive in the books especially Baron. Where he went…who he really is…is he still a part of the seven. All questions answered..or at least touched on in this short story. Now Edward has been in all the books but you never truly get to know him. You don’t get to understand why the others are always eluding to the fact that he’s just running from life not embracing it. It’s not a pretty sight to see where the two, that had the worst of it from the incident, began. When the decided to go on their chosen paths…why they are who they are. If you’ve enjoyed the seven up until now…you can’t miss this short. It’s a good beginning due to a horrific incident that has forever changed the lives of seven boys forever. I received a free advanced copy to read and review.
Read all series except KARMA’S story I preorder I think nearly 2 years agoSTILL WAITING!
Author has written so many books to this series. And it’s great but I have be anxious patiently waiting for KARMA’S story summer’s lil sis.
The only thing I don’t like about this series is the EXCESSIVE CONSTANT REPETITIVE MENTION OF “THE INCIDENT”. WE GET IT …. You don’t need to repeat it so many times 2 times in a paragraph 15 times per book every single book we get it! 7 teen boys were kidnapped & tortured Their journey to moving on and recovery a healthy better life is in the. Key of .. finding that one perfect girl who is the salve to their festering wounds. And finding those responsible & making them pay! I’m shocked that now I know who the homeless guy is… I really thought it was someone else! Wow!
I have followed the story of the 7 from the very start ,and I have loved every book , each character and the women they meet , the author has a way of writing that draws your emotions in to the story ,you feel what they feel ,and this story is brilliant ,it's a prequel into the story of Edward ,the most troubled priest ,his fraught friendship with Baron, and it introduces small teasers at a mystery young woman who will feature in his life , I can't wait for the next installment. If you want a brilliant series ,full of alphahole billionaires ,feisty women, super sexy romance ,but with an edge of humour ,then reading these books is a must !

This novella provides insight into the rupture in the relationship between Edward and Baron, though the mystery remains as to why they have this animosity toward one another. I loved the look into Baron’s head and his longing for something more, which he sees but cannot grasp yet. Edward’s troubled past is also explored. This book is an essential part of understanding Edward and Baron, their relationship to one another, and their outlooks on life. It makes both more relatable and their actions more understandable. I edited this (so I hope readers find it enjoyable, easy to read, and piques their interest for more).
This is a prequel to the Big Bad Billionaire Series and tells the story of Edward, Baron, and Ava.
This novella gives an insight into the lives of 2 of the 7 from the start of their lives after the incident that changed them all. I have read the other books in this series and have enjoyed following the stories of the 7 from the start. Although shorter this book is just as enjoyable and gives as insight into Edward (the priest) who we do not learn so much about in other books, and also Baron (Army veteran) with whom he has a difficult friendship.
This series is full of strong characters especially the women who decide to take on these troubled men.
Loved It! Billionaire's Temptation is the prequel of the “Big Bad Billionaires” series, and the beginning of Edward, Baron, and Ava's story. Baron has a darkly terrifyingly intense past that he is trying to overcome. The wall he has around himself makes it hard for “the seven” to break through and even harder for him to make a future for himself. This short powerful read pulls you in emotionally with their history and binds you to the main characters as they fight themselves to survive day today. I am excited to see what comes in the next installment. I received a free copy of this book for an honest review
Coming into this with no knowledge of the rest of the series is confusing, as a mysterious "incident" is frequently referenced, but absolutely no significant details about it are offered. I also had no clue who any of the characters were, and as written it really seemed like we were going to get an Edward/Baron something or other, before it all went terribly CompHet...
Also, the author appears to be a not-British person, writing British people. In Britain - we don't have 'highways', and there's no way a nice gastro pub serves fried chicken and waffles.
Billionaire's Temptation: Enemies to Lovers Billionaire Romance (Big Bad Billionaires) prequel - is a canapé to this trilogy and it is pure perfection. I'm like a cat on a hot tin roof waiting to read this trilogy. I loved getting a slice of Baron, and Edward's personal lives in the beginning and the cameo appearances of the seven. I also love how the author intricately weaved a mystery girl Ava into the plot. Looking forward to reading the trilogy.
What a fantastic up close and personal look at Edward and Baron. It is a short read, but a perfect injection into the Seven series as it gives us info on the two final characters, Edward and Baron. This incredibly well written series is simply brilliant. It is definitely for mature adults and reading this makes me so happy I am one. Kudos to L. Steele for giving her readers a series that I'm sure will be read over and over again. I for one am definitely looking forward to the next installment.
This prequel serves as a backstory for Baron and Edward. Although it is brief and there is still much unknown about what the two of them endured during their shared childhood trauma, this sets us up for what promises to be an interesting story. We have gotten to know each of the Seven in natural proximity to each other, so it only makes sense that the most distant and enigmatic of the Seven are up next. Well written, engaging, and promising. I can’t wait to read their stories!
Loved the insight of the Seven as young adults as they each try to find their place in the world following the incident. It explains so much about the mysterious Baron. And to think Edward the priest was an IV drug abuser. It also explains why Edward is the only one who Baron keeps in touch with throughout the years. they were kept together and away from the others. Experiencing their shared hell. Edward and Baron’s stories can’t come fast enough.
After the incident Edward turned to drugs and Baron pulled him out of that. Baron defied death by sky jumping Nd opening the parachute later than he should have. He went in the army and was a POW for 2 years that didn’t help his nightmares. Edward and Baron were separated from the 5 kidnapped at the same time. 8 years later Edward turned his back to being the priest. Baron went into hiding from everyone hoping the nightmares would die down some! Great book!
While a little long, this book is the origin story, much like the info included in some of the other books explaining what happened between the kidnapping and the adult lives of these men. It’s obvious from this that Michael and Baron will likely be involved with the same woman, considering whatever happened during the kidnapping was done to them both in the same room.
This was a great beginning, it just is in need of the rest of the story.
I can’t believe how invested I am into the series! I feel like the seven are real! That’s what this amazing author does to you! You feel their anguish and struggles and you get happy when they find the one for them. This book is a bit of the backstory of Edward and Baron and Ava and how they dealt with their trauma and still tring to tame the beast. Again read the whole series because it’s really good in all departments!
This is a prequel to the last three books of the series. It is a great start to the final. It gives you a little insight into Edward and Baron the last two of the seven. You do not need to read the others to understand what is going on but it makes for a more interesting read if you do.
L. Steele is an amazing writer. She makes you feel like you are part of the story.
I’ve read many of the books by L Steele but I’ve read them out of order. No matter, I am able to remember and fit them together the way I think the author intended for them to be read.
This book is about the back story of Baron and Edward. I’m grateful for it because it gives some appreciation for what the boys went through and it clarifies their connection. I really enjoyed this book.
This is a great introduction to the seven. It would have been nice if it was identified as a prequel before I started any of the other billionaire stores. I finished with Barron story before I even realized that there was a prequel. There’s no reading list order That I could find anywhere. That needs to change. I had even went so far as to buy the box set, and still the order is off. No mention of any prequel.
Warning this has a cliffhanger. This book features Edward and Baron. And what happened to them in the incident. It definitely left me wanting more! Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long. And who is the auburn headed girl that Baron keeps getting glimpses of. So many questions. I did receive an advance copy for my honest review.
An enemies-to-lovers billionaire romance, Billionaire's Temptation is a prequel to the next trilogy by L. Steele. This quick read gives the reader an introduction into the lives of Edward, Baron, and Ava from the Big Bad Billionaires series.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
Are these stories for mature adults? Oh YES. I stumbled upon one book via a recommendation, and have to finish them all to know how things work out for The Seven. Yes, they are dirty, but the story line is riveting and you'll find it hard to not finish a book quickly.
This was a wonderful story as it gives you background information about the seven when they were younger and how they all stayed friends. It was a great way to lead up to this story as their are two that haven’t found the ones for them. Will they find the one that will hake them happy? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
As it says this only gives you a taste into the "7s" world... Like all the characters, this one many looks at the life of Baron" and Edward as they try to move on from what happened to them when they were teenagers... This is where life takes them, and how they find some sort of way to survive the past.
Brief prequel to Brandon, Eva and Edward’s story and the billionaire series. Both Edward and Baron are battling their demons, expressed in two very different ways.
Good pace. References to the incident and the seven are included for the reader without disclosing much.
