Emerald Lakes #5

The Magic of Eternity

Rate this book
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful green witch. She blew into my life every bit as wild as the storm magic that lived within my veins. My heart had been nothing but a lifeless organ within my chest until she breathed life back into me, ensuring that each beat from that moment forward was for her.

Saige Wildes was everything good. Sun-kissed freckles in the summer, hair that shimmered like fire when touched by light, and a smile that brought six men to their knees. Her magic was the magic of life.

Of love.

Of sacrifice.

With Asrael’s master plan falling into place, my brave little witch had to fight for her life and everyone she loved. On the brink of losing it all and forced to make an impossible decision, she heard the stars whisper, 'What do you want?’ My sweet mate stared back at the fates and screamed her greatest desire.

Eternity.

I’m bummed I didn’t love this as much as the previous books. I really wanted to adore this and get a perfect series out of it, but the conclusion felt flat in comparison.

My main complain is that this book spent too much time stuck in the first part, where everyone was being apart. And then the preparations before the “final battle” took too long, which kept them apart even longer.

I wish we had spent more time with the harem just being blissfully domestic together. I didn’t need anything else from this book. The baddies get killed, our heroes go home and the love fest begins. But we barely got any of the good stuff.

There’s barely no smut in this book, and it’s not even that good compared to previous books. And Saigr spent more time with some of her men than others, which rubbed me the wrong way, especially because Andrews had managed to keep things equal between all her six mates up till now.

I’m so frustrated we didn’t get any Cam/Kai and Bram/Faris after all the build up in previous books. Or how Sloan and Faris had unfinished business we never got to see resolved.

What Andrews did to Fisher is my other main issue. He went through a truly horrendous and traumatic event to then get his memories erased, rendering the whole thing pointless. Maybe the character forgot, but I’ll never forget what they did to him, and how broken he was afterwards. Sadly, this happens to real people and they don’t have a magical solution to just forget the memories and be “whole” again. It’s kind of insulting, if you think about it.

On the other hand, I absolutely loved what she did with Saige’s post partum depression. As someone who gave birth, I felt very identified with what she went through. My baby blues wasn’t as severe as hers but still, I saw myself in many of her emotions. I loved the fact that she gave birth in all four and that she breast-fed and slept with her babies. Because that’s exactly what I did with mine. And how her men were there for her and helped her, but still she needed professional help. Normalizing these things in literature is so, so important.

I’m still baffled Andrews did so many things right and then screwed it so badly with Fisher. 😔 I’m intrigued to see where she goes from here with these characters in the new series, tho.

The Magic of Eternity is the fifth installment within the Emerald Lakes series. Since this is the last book, I honestly wasn't expecting so much action. Don't get me wrong, I loved it all because I never felt bored. The only thing I could have gone without is Asrael and Laurie. Mostly Laurie though because she grossed me out. Asrael was a pretty good villain but felt kind of easy to take down.

As for Saige and the guys? Well, their bond is getting stronger each and every day. Which was a good thing because of all the trauma, drama, and everything in between that they went through. I was really happy with how everything ended between them because it was wrapped up into a big pretty bow. At least that's how I see it because the epilogue was so good!

Will definitely have to look into another book or series by Britt!

This was an epic conclusion to the Emerald Lakes Series. I loved every second of it, from the battle to the epilogue.
Saige and her men were spectacular and I can't wait to read more from Britt Andrews.

I think the fifth book is my favorite book of the series. I enjoyed it very much. I like that Saige is not the size0 model. That they have less sex in the last book, so I didn’t have to skip so many scene, because at some time they get boring.

It was a good conclusion to the series.

How do I even begin writing this review? I laughed, I cried, I cried while laughing and laughed while crying.

This is the 5th and final book of Britt Andrews’s Emerald Lakes Series and let me tell you, it gave me ALL THE FEELS

I could feel the emotions that Saige was feeling while speaking to her mates through their mate bond.

You can tell how much the author has grown in her writing from book 1 The Magic of Discovery to this book The Magic of Eternity!

I love all the guys but Faris is hands down my favorite!

This book is absolutely perfection!

Good not great - Spoilers alert

I waited with anticipation that was off the charts for this book. The storyline was great but some of the things I had waited for didn’t materialize. Like a Cam Kai scene, and Bram/Faris exploring more fully who they are to each other. More of an extended HEA in the epilogue. Would have preferred Saige strike the first massive blow to Azreal with her Magic that also damaged Laurie before they respectively got justice. The dragons were a HUGE part and after the fight there isn’t another word really about them. Assuming that they like the demons are flourishing now that Asshat Azreal and Loathsome Laurie are gone.
For now… gives hope that there will be more set in Emerald Lakes and hopefully we can see Khol and Miranda happy as well as Gran/Rick and our beautiful septa relationship having grown with more babies and shenanigans.

Amazing!! Full RTC once I gather my thoughts.

Ok I didn't gather my thoughts too well, but here we go...

I spent yesterday devouring this book! Britt, I love you and you are absolutely amazing! The way you have brought this phenomenal world to life is just *chef's kiss*! There is so much world building in this series and the realms just keep getting bigger!

🛑 I am going to try to do my review with as little spoilers as possible, if you are not wanting to even know a teeny tiny bit about Eternity, STOP NOW. 🛑

The Magic of Eternity picks up after the cliffhanger from The Magic of Destiny and doesn't slow down. Everyone is separated and must find their way to reunite. The amount of pain these characters go through in this book is heartbreaking. I was teary eyed for the majority of the book. It is more serious because things are happening and fates are being decided.

The thing about Britt's writing is that with all the seriousness, and the steam, she still manages to stick in funny aspects. There were so many times I was crying only to laugh the next sentence. The humor in the book definitely kept me afloat and from drowning in my emotions. Although a few times I was laughing so hard I was crying and couldn't even read 🤣🤣

The Magic of Eternity is the final book of Emerald Lakes and wraps up Saige and her men's journey. Her harem has come so since have meet them and been through so much. Someone may even be showing his teeth now and others find it odd. Anyway, amazing ending, amazing world, amazing characters, a must read for all pnr, rh, spice loving readers.

Side note: Saige is super relatable, she's curvy, she's quirky, she's hilarious, and her men all love it. What curvy girl wouldn't want a man to throw her around the bedroom like she weighed nothing 😏

I feel like my review is getting super long because I want to keep gushing about this series. For those who have it on their TBR, pick it up now! If you are waiting on Eternity, hold on to your socks, it's a wild ride. Ok, I think I'm done 🤣🤣 (🖤🖤🖤 you Britt!)

Hard pass.
Too much. It’s just. It should have been three books. 5 was a lot. For nothing.
🙄 it’s just not worth it.

Do you know what it really is it’s the fact that this author made a FMC that is a demon with all of these incredible powers, and she keeps leveling up the men in the series and making it so that they can do all these incredible things and every time that the FMC needs to fight or have her moment it feels like she gets tranquilized with the anti-powers dart. Or something mentally happens and oh.
She needs rescuing again. It’s so frustrating because you made this all powerful female and I want to read about how amazing she is and instead I feel like she just wants to have a lot of sex. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Such a great ending for a truly phenomenal series. The final trip to Emerald Lake was so much more than anything I could have hoped for. I would’ve be at all surprised to find out, there’s a population boom in nine months 😏

This book started exactly where Destiny ended, and my tears started right back up. There was so much anguish, in the first 79% of the book. I swear I spent the whole book crying, either sad or happy tears. I love the unexpected laughs that were thrown in. Don’t eat or drink while reading, you may die, just a fair warning.

Saige and the guys are put through the wringer emotionally and physically. Fisher's torture broke my heart, so bad. Baby Fang's thought process, hurt my soul. I l did love seeing them fight back though. A truly majestic uprising that ended with Saige becomes the queen, we all knew she always was. The smutty scenes will leave you hot and bothered, don’t forget your towel. 🌊🌊

We were told they’d got their HEA in the end. It won’t come easy, but it’s so worth it. Still my favorite RH series ever. I’ll be back to visit many times ❤️❤️

This was a great series and I'm so glad I stumbled on it! This book was almost all action, with the characters starting out being captives in Besmet. I felt so bad that they were all separated and went through so much trauma, especially Fischer. We really saw the bond's strength, helping the characters find each other and stop Evil (aka Asrael and Laurie, ew.)

The ending wrapped up well and had some super sweet moments. I'm looking forward to reading more about the Exiled in the next series and hopefully getting some cameos from Saige and her men.

…I’m so sad it’s over.🥺
I have been impatiently anticipating this book’s release since I finished the fourth in the series, about two weeks ago.
And damn.
Talk about a ride to the finish.

This was so good.
I loved all the action and emotions and all the growth that happened between characters and their relationships.

I do wish a few things got a little bit more attention.
Mainly because I want to know everything there is to know about these characters’ lives.
But it was such a beautiful wrap that I can’t hold that against it.

So happy I finally got to read this.
Their HEA was beautiful and I think it’s definitely gonna stick with me for a while.

So good!
I fucking LOVE these characters, and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
I just know I’ll be devouring everything she puts out from now on.
Ugh. I could literally swoon right now.

I mean... it was okay.. I've been very honest in my reviews about my feelings towards this series, and I made it very clear that I only continued reading it because I wanted to just see how it ended..

And it was okay.. it wasn't a series for me, that much I figured out. The story found its conclusion, I felt it maybe was a little messy, but that comes with having so many plot points, I just felt like maybe the author forgot about certain things she had mention, idk.. I liked some of the subjects that she touched on at the end, like mommy blues and depression, but I just felt like she rushed it a little? It was the last chapter before the epilog. So you went from a very heavy subject to, everything is great, she got help and got over it, now this is happening, the end. So it didn't feel as satisfying to me.. much like Seigh said herself in that depression chapter, everything happened so fast that I just didn't have enough time to actually process everything. And that is definitely the feeling I'm left with..
Won't be reading this again...

I think I’d give this a 3.5 stars! I liked it but it was missing a few things that I would’ve liked to see. We didn’t get much of the group dynamic in this one which was understandable but I did miss it. I liked how Britt talked about some heavier and real topics which I enjoyed.

I was waiting for a conversation with Saige and Kai about his scars because it was something he seemed concerned about and we never got that. I think that would have been an important moment for them.

We did have some relationship build ups that didn’t really happen but I don’t really see us getting it in the future which is fine but would have liked to see those bloom.

I get that some questions will be answered in the next series but some questions and moments are more related to this group than the overall topics and plot so I wished we got more. I felt like this could have been longer to cover more.

It was a nice conclusion but it felt rushed to me.

There were buildups that we never really got to see between Kai and Cam and Bram and Faris.

Kai's scarred back was just never mentioned again even though it seemed like a pretty big deal earlier on in the book. I went back and looked because I honestly thought I might have missed it.

Just taking away Fischer's memories seemed like a cheap way to deal with what happened to him.

I felt like everything they went through just took a back burner to the babies which I don't disagree with because children definitely have priority in real life but they never really dealt with what happened.

We have no idea what happened to the demons and dragons.

I feel like 100 pages of the book is just missing?

Okay so my final thoughts on this series was that its fantastic! The storyline was incredible and was done extremely fucking well, more so because this was the first book and series Britt Andrew's wrote🤯

There was a lot of action/drama which kept you engaged throughout the whole thing not ever dragging out which is a huge YES for me so I loved it more! HOWEVER.. I wouldn't say I happy with how this ended as I think the actual final "show down" felt a little mediocre and the ending when they were back at the house was a little blah, but was still good🤷🏻‍♀️

Also a win... there was a lot of dick being she has 6 of them to entertain ... one could dream ... Usually this would be a bit much but honestly it was far from being over the top with the sex scenes. There was just enough to enjoy it and were written extremely well, allowing us to see how the relationships unfold not only with Saige and her men as a group and individually but the guys together.. I wish I got to see more of Cam and Kai though 😒

Oh my moon maidens. What a series!

From the moment I picked up The Magic of Discovery, I knew Britt was someone to look out for. Her writing is excellent, and is the perfect mix of angst, danger, love, tenderness, spice, and heat. Once you open her books, she sinks the claws in, and you're unable to let go as you devour the words on the page.

I almost never reread books. My TBR is too long, and I'll never live long enough to read them all. There are a very select few that make it onto my reread list, and this series is one of them. Considering I prefer contemporary books, well, that's saying a lot.

These books have destroyed me in the best ways. I can't think of any other series or book where I have cried as much as these. This book alone had me bawling my eyes out at least 5 times. Britt pours her soul into these books, and you can tell. So many emotions, and you can feel the depth of the characters' love for each other.

And spice? Well...make sure you're well prepared with a towel, batteries, fan, a cold shower...because you're going to need them.

The Magic of Eternity finishes off the series fantastically with the revenge we craved, the tears we needed to shed, and the HEA that we longed for. Even better is the knowledge of spin-offs and the hope that we'll get glimpses of Saige and her men in future books.

I'm so sad that this adventure is over, but as I wave goodbye to the Weenie Bus as it drives off into the sunset, I'll be looking forward to the next one. Britt has gained a fan for life. ❤

Oh my god. This book was utterly heart breaking, pretty sure I sat here crying through the majority of this one 😩😥💔 if you are ready to have your heart obliterated, then slowly get peiced back together with revenge and violence then by all means, jump straight in. ITS SO GOOD!!! Bitter sweet and had my arm hairs standing on end!! ... can we just mention the bucket tipping over and the toast?!?! 🤣🤣🤣 if you know, you know!... As much as I was laughing at that part, my heart was so full and finally peiced back together. This book takes you on one hell of a rollercoaster ride!! I love EVERY SINGLE guy so fucking much!! Faris still makes me howl with laughter, his innocence to everything is so precious and also hilarious. The MM in these books literally had me melting 🥵🥵 never read anything so hot. Seriously. Just wow 😅 I could go on and on about this book but I just want you all to dive straight in and witness it all for yourselves 🙌🏻❤

Special shoutout to the author for showing not every pregnancy is all rainbows and butterflies, it can be the best day full off the biggest love you've ever felt, but also turn dark and lonely afterwards. I burst into tears as I also suffered after pregnancy, quite badly. It brought back memories but she covered the subject so perfectly and lovingly I ended up smiling with happy tears. It touched me deeply, mental health is a big thing for me 😭❤

Book #5
(Final book - Complete series)

‼️ Spoilers Alert ‼️

✅ World with mages (they can be shifters, witches, Pyro, mind,...), demons & humans (it seems humans know about Magic even if they don't have it)

⬇️ Pace (a bit too fast and superficial)

⬇️ Unknown powers

🆗 Bond & mates

✅🆗 Powerful alpha males

✅ Curvy FMC

✔️ Sweet

✅🆗 RH (1 female & several males, inc. different MM scenes & MM couples developing)

✅🆗 Smut (scenes with multiple partners at the same time)

🆗 BDSM (it has some dominant-submissive scenes - Daddy & his girl, alpha & cub, ... - not only sexual but the taking care of)

✅ Family

🆗 Quick pregnancy

‼️ Trigger warnings:
❗mentions psychological struggle
- depression: dealing and learning how to live with it for years
- postpartum depression
- PTSD
- abuse
❗A few short episodes about trying to deal with body image issues
❗Mentions character death, murder, kidnapping, incarceration, physical abuse and torture
❗Rape
❗Drinking blood
(However all of these scenes are superficial and/or dealt quickly. This is not an angsty book series.)

Previous book:

Saige, her mates and her father were captured when they went back to the Demon realm to warn the King about Asrael's deranged plot to overthrown him.

But they were too late.

Present book:

Now, separated and at Asrael's mercy, each one has to survive their incarceration.

The psychological and physical toll is big. Their forced isolation, the not knowing about each other, the pregnancy, the torture, everything seems to be against them.

It is not only their lives at stake.

There is a whole kingdom at risk.

A race in need of saving.

The strenght of their bond is not their only advantage.

Enemies are not the only ones around them.

Notes:

Overall, a nice series, enjoyable, it did make me laugh out loud sometimes and have a big smile on my face.

I thought the guys were cute and sweet.

The guys:

Cam:
The strong and silent type.
The Daddy. The Boss.
Lost his family while young so he needs control to know everyone he loves is safe.
Race: Mage
Power: Electricity
Romance: Dominant (Daddy & his girl, Thunder Daddy to the alpha)
Frequent romantic interests: Saige and Kai

Sloane:
The arrogant a*shole. Grumpy.
Protective over his family.
He was victim of domestic abuse by his father since very young. Struggles with communicating his feelings.
Race: Mage
Power: fire, dragon shifter
Romance: Dominant (Master to Fisher and dominant to Saige, his kitten, sometimes)
Frequent romantic interests: Fisher and Saige

Kai:
Extrovert, easy going, always happy, hugger. The overgrown kitty.
Loves cooking and yoga.
Struggles with depression.
Race: Mage
Power: panther shifter (and later on animal possession(?))
Romance: Dominant (alpha & cub), Submissive (to Thunder Daddy), Vanilla
Frequent romantic interests: Saige, Cam

Fisher:
Introvert, assassin and torturer. Guppy to his sweatheart.
Struggles with psychological balance, with his identity and with the strong emotions of others.
Race: Mage
Power: mental, mind control
Romance: Submissive (pet/pretty boy to Sloane), vanilla and sometimes a little dominant
Frequent romantic interests: Sloane and Saige

Bram:
Self-assured, a little crazy.
Prince and heir to the throne.
Celibate for decades.
Race: Demon
Power: portal maker, shapeshifting,...
Romance: Vanilla, a little dominant sometimes
Frequent romantic interests: Saige and Faris

Faris:
Innocent, curious and blood thirsty, dances to his own beat. A lovable crazy.
The Viper. The baby fang.
Only got his own body recently so everything is new to him.
Race: Mage
Power: blood mage - healing and mind control
Romance: blood play, still learning
Frequent romantic interests: Saige and Bram

I did enjoy the romance part.

However, the plot seemed to suffer a little. It had great potential but the author choose to go with a more light tone. Everything felt a bit superficial to me, no deep emotions. Even adrift, spread and disconnected.

There were several scenes with very traumatic events but they were told very quickly and without too much emotional charge. As is the tone with the whole series.
(Which I was a bit relieved because I do not like angst and it sometimes seems authors choose to use angst as a conduit for a deeper emotional connection from the reader. And it shouldn't be just angst that does that.)

There were a few inconsistencies and it all felt a little immature.

They were more focused on s*x and their bond than to learn about the prophecies, being alert (as they knew their enemy was lurking), trainning, communicating about what they needed to do and how to do it, question several dubious situations, overall being the tactical men they were supposed to be.

For all the alpha male vibes and being described as protectors and sometimes even overprotective, when the time come to be that, they won't even question. Sure, lets just take our untrained mate to dangerous situations without questioning it or doing the proper surveillance. Or better yet, their pregnant mate.

And, I think this might be worse yet, everything always ends up going alright.

They get (new) powers when they need.

They instinctively know how to work their powers.

They can mentally communicate when it's urgent even when they were blocked.

They overcome all their problems easily, even the deep psychological ones. (Or they are ignored and it doesn't create more issues and it's resolved later on without complications)

They always find each other.

They always manage to find people/things they need, be it because they are looking for them or because they need them to help them. And they trust them straight away even telling them things that should be kept secret. There is no doubt nor distrust that they could be spies or double crossing them.

They managed to escape and save the day at the right time.

Overall, an easy, cute story where everything goes well.

As always my respect to the author.
No hate nor hurt intended with this review.

Is it ok to be sulking that the Emerald Lakes series is coming to an end? Britt has an amazing gift of world building and story telling that makes me continuously want more.

The Magic of Eternity was everything I wanted and more. It picked up exactly where the Magic of Destiny left us hanging and started ripping my heart out in the first chapter. I’m not a crier (I despise crying) and the pain I felt for poor Fisch about did me in. Britt really knows how to touch on sensitive and hard subjects and then throw in humor to help break up the somber mood. And speaking of humor, I write lol all the time, but I legitimately laughed out loud numerous times while ready Eternity. Faris is so funny and innocent and the birthing scene at the end about did me in. Every character and the love they feel is so realistic. The book hangover is real right now, but it’s such a breath of fresh air that Saige and her boys finally get their HEA! Seriously, well done Britt, I couldn’t have asked for more in this series, though I’m secretly hoping for spin offs??

I hate to see this series end!! 😫 This whole series consumed me, with each book getting better and better, and the first book was a solid 5 stars!
RH is my favorite thing to read, and this series had everything a good RH series needs to grab your attention and make 5 books seem like not enough books to have for the series!
I can’t wait to read the spin-off series for this! I’m hoping we will get to read some updates on these characters in the coming books.
I fell in love with each guy. They were the perfect men and I had no complaints with any small or large thing between the characters, or the whole series in general. Everything was wrapped up in a neat bow. The perfect ending to a perfect RH series. I’m going to miss my innocent evil Faris so much! I will love you forever, Baby Fang! And Thunder Daddy! Can’t forget Daddy 😉

So much happening.

Well that was a ride and half reading this series. You have nearly every magical being in one series from witches, panthers, dragons and many more. Saige goes through a transformation taking on all of her mates affinities and becomes one badass powerful witch, abviously you have villain's in the book because without them it wouldn't be much of a story. The intimacy is 🔥 and very spicy, loved it, but the story itself grabbed me from book one right through to book 5.

The series is over, but was it worth it? 🙈🙈🙈

I feel like the last book was all over the place and its style didn't really match the other books. I understand, we had to have a conclusion and the "battle" was good, but the lead-up was very weird and left me with a lot of unanswered questions. The pacing was just off, unfortunately.

This book didn't feel like a finale in the series, it felt a little bit like a prequel to spin-offs and I hate that. I didn't get an ending that satisfied me. The dragons had a big part in the first half of the book but then they just didn't come up at all after the skirmish? The Exiled saved a lot of asses with that gas, but it felt a bit forced to have them enter and fix everything with no explanation. The depression after birth was a surprising addition, but overall it got a whole chapter and I feel like it could have been used to get to the bottom of other things. The six mates problem I mentioned in earlier reviews really played a role in the first half, where each one of them had to suffer in a different way but the only one who got a bit of a resolution was Fischer when he talked about it both with Sloane and Saige separately and I hate we didn't get to see Faris dealing with him thinking it was a test more, or some sort of explanation of Sloane's sudden escape from Asrael's thumb, or any of the others' explanations or resolutions of their suffering. Why did Laurie let Cam out? Noone knows. The whole Asrael's control of Sloane didn't really make sense as to why it existed in the first place. My man Faris didn't get almost any spotlight in this book. Also, we didn't get to see Saige's sister, Hunter, Maverick and no word of Ace (Saige's brother from Khol). Now, that I think about it, this book was horrible when it comes to tying loose ends. 😔😔😔

Smut? Almost nonexistent. One group scene, which was lacking and a weird one on one with Sloane and Saige. We didn't get Kai and Cam scene, which was very hinted at in the last book.

I have to say, I just hate how much the individual main characters suffered from the amount of plot and characters which were in this book. I don't think anything big was resolved (apart from deaths of few people) and everything was sort of left open to the potential spin-offs and that wasn't a good play by the author in my opinion. There is a way to write a good ending to a series with the potential of spin-offs but this wasn't it.

However, Bram knitting in a pink robe was the highlight of my reading experience. 🔥

2.5 stars

P.S. The amount of licking at the seam of someone's lips in this series is astounding. 😂😂😂

Enjoyed

Good ending for this serie even if of all the action took place in Besmet.
Be careful! HUGE trigger warning! The first chapters told about tortures, physical/pschological, and sexual abuses☹️
The final battle was epic and it was all I was waiting for.
I liked that the author wrote about postpartum complications and how some women struggled during this period. It made the story more realistic and the characters more human.
I wasn't a fan that all the guys were in couple, a bit too much MM for me (but no prejudices here!!!).
I could only recommend this serie.

Look. Ever since the Fever series I’ve craved hefty series with a long bumpy road to a satisfying HEA but the plot twists and cliff hangers in this series only irritated me. I’ve grown bitter in my old age that dark themes are not my jam while the popular romance romance genre seems to be going down that road. Sucks.

I mean, why torture rape a character to break him if you’re going to take his memories away? Because it’s hard to write and takes too long to heal from the trauma in a single book otherwise? Why even have him raped at all? All in the name of character development? Talk about overkill.

I honestly liked the characters, but at times they were a bit much. They were supposed to be scary mo-fos but the second they fall in love with her they’re goofy and crazy and zany and dominant and I do NOT have a Daddy fetish like the author does.

Every time her body was described as soft and round and someone waxed poetic about her juicy ass she kept getting bigger in my mind’s eye to the point of my mental image had her absolutely massive which devalued her harem into chubby chasers and her size seemed fetishistic. I’m positive this character is supposed to be overweight, not morbidly obese, but damn. Tone it down.

It felt weird the transition from dark themes to goofy chaos, but in the end I read the whole series. Mostly because I am DESPERATE for reverse harem with mm content. I’ve resolved to not touch anything this author has written until the series is finished because I would have quit after the character death if I had to wait any longer to find out what happened next than the five seconds it took me to click on the next book. But I WILL be reading more by this author.

I will say I appreciated the birth and postpartum depression scenes. *chef’s kiss* Not many stories go there and it was nice to see. It wasn’t until years after my youngest was born, when I finally felt myself again that I was able to realize, looking back ‘I….. think I might have….. had… that.” each time I had given birth. I did NOT have the support of six men attuned to my every thought and body function. More in Gran’s boat than Saige’s.

The Magic of Eternity

"My heart was beating wildly, my palms sweaty, and suddenly, all I could think about was Mom’s spaghetti. Gods dammit, Saige. Focus! Now is not the time for Eminem references."

Holly moon maidens, once I started, I couldn't stop this series so much so that I'm doing a series Review then each book. Hands down the number one hottest book I've read this year.

Wow, just wow, this series surprised me at every turn. I fell in love with Saige's characters as well as all her men. The journey she's had to go through to have and to keep them is break taking. This book was so full of love, laughter, family, brotherhood, strength to face their past, and of course sexy mages and a sexy demon. This book was so entertaining, and I fell in love with Britts' writing style for each of these characters. This book was also so full of spice it was to die for.

This series was a never-ending roller coaster that I didn't want to get off of at all. It had so many amazing moments, and I was surprised at every turn. I couldn't get enough and did want to put these books down. I love these characters and the relationships they have formed as one. It's very heartwarming how they all take care of each other through anything. I knew from the beginning that when I was done the series, I was going to miss the continued journey with these characters because, honestly, I could never get enough.

*4.25 Stars*

Similar to the fourth book, I'm struggling a bit with my feelings about this one. I think overall I enjoyed it but there were certain aspects and plot points that I just couldn't relate to or weren't explored as much as I would have hoped considering how built up they were. I'm not sure why but for some reason I didn't like that 80% of the book happened in a period of ~24 hours, there was so much happening coming from so many different perspectives that it felt like the amount of time that passed should have been longer than it was. The number of time and perspective jumps also made it a bit challenging to keep what was happening at what point in the timeline clear. Now with the last few chapters, I understand what Britt was trying to do but with where I am in my life I was unable to relate to it so while I appreciated the intent, it just wasn't for me. I'm also a bit bummed that we didn't get a bit more relationship exploration between the guys, considering that most of those potential relationships had been teased for several books, I wished we had gotten more.

Now to explore the positives! I loved that this book was very plot heavy and to me, had the most action and story telling of any of the books which I was something I was really looking forward to. The familial love and overall interactions between all of the different characters could be felt through the pages and has been one of my favorite things about the series, I became attached to every main and side character which is truly impressive because there are so many! Speaking of side characters, I am super pumped to start the The Exiled series because even though we only got a small taste of their personalities, I LOVED THEM! I'm also hoping that maybe we'll eventually get a story about Hunter and Fern in the future! 🤞🏻 I believe it was hinted that there was more to that story so I have faith that it's possible! But in regards to the series as a whole, while it wasn't my favorite due to the fact that there wasn't a ton going on plot wise, I still had a good time! ☺️

The series as a whole was enjoyable if not a tad predictable.

I would have given three stars but I wanted to give my honest opinions overall.

There were some freaky grammar errors in this book and totally unbelievable events plus what felt like missing time scenes.

The relationship between father and daughter made no sens and should have had...more.
Character development was a must. They go from not knowing each other and h being scary af to being closest father and daughter.

There were several ppl mentioned but zero development.
Hunter should have at least been more involved.

There are tons of spinoffs possible but I doubt I will read them...fern, Alistair, hunter...too much non I made it so, sure I want to know more BUT at the same time..meh.

I could go on and on but what is the point. Also, I am typing this on my cell andy fingers are tired.

Sure, read it if you have a day or two but, it's not memorable.

Britt Andrews has surprised me once again with her writing skills, interesting characters, and a tense plot that made me read this book in one breath!

This book picks off right where we left off in the last book and man oh man do things keep getting crazier and crazier. I didn’t think my heart could race so fast with all these twists and turns.

But In the end, Saige and her guys’ love overcomes all barriers and proves to them how it makes them stronger rather than weak and vulnerable.

I am so happy I got the chance to go along this journey with all of them. I highly recommend this series! You definitely won’t regret it! 🥰💜

This book is such a perfect ending to the series. There’s laughter, there’s tears. It truly brings you into the world and makes you feel like a part of it. This book deals with some gritty truths that we are faced with in life and Britt Andrews handled it wonderfully. I couldn’t recommend it more.
