Love is about moving on from the past and creating a future…
TAWNY
The pain of my first and only heartbreak has kept me alone for ten years. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy, successful, and content watching my sisters fall in love and start their own families. At least I was… until Mac came back to town. Now he’s stirring up memories and feelings that I wish would stay buried. But what if I was wrong all those years ago? What if one misunderstanding cost me my one chance at true love?
MAC
There’s a reason I moved away from our small town on Westmount Island, and it has two names. Tawny Michaels. She broke my heart, and I vowed never to let her get close enough to do that again. When my family needs me to come home, I know I’ll have to face her eventually. But nothing can prepare me for the moment we come face to face again. She still owns my heart, but after everything that happened, can we build the future we used to dream about?
Warning this book is intended for mature audience. It does have some explicit scenes but not too much detail of it.
I love the book. It is romantic. I think I previously mention about having romance in an island just makes you feel nice and have this hope that maybe you too will experience that spark. Her writing is easy to follow and detail. You can imagine the life of the characters. Would you like to have another chance in love with your first love? I think I am with my first true love and I would if things go south. I’ll work it out again.I also can relate to the main protagonist because I am like him. Preferably to but a huge amount of distance from my love then to get hurt again. I only wish to know what happens to them like their wedding how it’s going to be etc.. just want to fully close off these amazing characters. If you enjoy romance and second chances then this book is for you.
Give me small town. Give me friends to lovers. Give me second change romance. THIS NOVELLA HAS IT ALL.
Tawny, the oldest of three sisters, secretly dated her best friend, Mac in high school. Some teenage miscommunication broke them up and they both suffered in silence for over a decade. When a family emergency brings Mac back for longer than a weekend, they both have to face what hurt them in the past and decide if and how they want to move forward.
Perfect end to this novella series. Cannot recommend highly enough!
This is the third and last book of the Westmount trilogy. It's time for Tawny, Kayla and Elle's older sister to find love or better find love again. Years ago Tawny had a secret boyfriend, Mac, who she thought she would grow old with. Unfortunately, after Mac leaves for college things go wrong and they break it off. Tawny hasn't seen Mac in years, but now he is back and he is determined to get Tawny back. But will they get over the problems that stood between them years ago? And will they be able to fit their lives together?
Falling Forever has everything to be a perfect story. To begin with there is a hot alpha who loves a strong heroine mixed up with some heartache and deep emotions. To make the story perfect it is topped of with lots off steam. I'm a little sad to say goodbye to these characters, but I can't wait to see what Julia Jarrett comes up next.
Falling Forever is the third and final book of The Westmount Island Trilogy and is a sweet and uber sexy, small town/second chance romance. Gotta say, this used to be one of my least favorite tropes but has grown on me, thanks in large part, to well written stories like this one. Tawny and Mac grew up together on the island. They were best friends and secretly dating throughout high school. Things take a turn for the worst when distance and life happens. Fast forward ten years and both have moved on in every aspect of their lives, except one. Neither has forgotten the other and close proximity makes them finally talk things through. The flame between them has not lessened, it has remained strong and still burns bright. Falling Forever is a touching story about a love that never dies and confirms that happily ever afters, do happen, in due time. TBR and enjoy, and if you haven’t read Falling Fast and Falling Again, books 1 & 2 of The Westmount Trilogy, then TBR those as well.
I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.
Falling Forever is the final book in the Westmount Island trilogy of novellas. This book follows the story of Tawny, the oldest sister of twins Ella and Kayla from the two previous books. When Mac arrives back on Westmount island after his Mother falls ill he’s not looking forward to bumping in to Tawny as his heart is still broken from their split over 10 years ago, as is hers. This story is a great second chance romance. It has a fair bit of steam as well catch ups on Ella and Kayla and their respective partners. An all round good read.
Tawny and Mac have a history together - they were high school sweethearts who decided to keep their love a secret from their small hometown island. When he won a scholarship to college in Texas, they vowed to stay together and make the distance work. But misunderstandings get in the way and they have a falling out. Mac has tried to stay away but when his mom has a stroke, he returns home to help his dad. One look at Tawny and he knows he has to figure out what went wrong so long ago.
This is the last book in a series about three sisters who grew up on a small island. They can be read as stand alone but obviously build on each other if you read them in order. I liked them all - they are all novellas so each can be read in an afternoon.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy. This is my honest review.
This final chapter finds the oldest Michaels sister, Tawny, unexpectedly seeing her first love from back in high school. Eleven years have passed and it’s quite a shock to see each other. Feelings are still there, but a total misunderstanding on both parts is to blame for it all. Mac has a career on the mainland and Tawny will never leave the only Inn on the island. All it takes is one shout from an islander to tell it like it is. Negotiations and business meetings are held and hopefully Tawny will say yes for the future that she’s always wanted.
I loved this series and it was the perfect conclusion. Second chance is one of my favorite tropes and Tawny and Mac’s second chance was well done! I also loved seeing more of the relationship between the sisters. I’ll definitely be reading more from Julia Jarrett.
Tawny is the oldest of the 3 sisters, she runs the inn and still lives in the house she grew up in. Shawn, known as Mac to everyone, was Tawny's best friend and secret boyfriend back in high school. They shared everything and thought they would get married but Mac went away to college. Things happened and instead of talking about it Tawny pulled away. Both were heartbroken. Eleven years later Mac is back in town because his Mom had a stroke. They run into each other and realize they still have feelings for each other but can old wounds be healed?
This is a steamy second chance romance. Tawny and Mac were childhood sweethearts who drifted apart due to distance and misunderstandings – each nursing wounds from the break-up. Fast forward ten years, Mac is back and they are forced to address their unresolved feelings. These two have off the charts chemistry, they heat up the pages. Can they get past the hurt, misunderstandings, and move forward together forever? This is a great conclusion to the Westmount Island series, it is an enjoyable, sexy read. Advanced copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
This was probably my favorite of the trilogy just because it wasn't like the other ones. This is a second chance romance. One despite the miscommunication that split them up the love never died between them. Mac and Tawny were secret lovers back in school but soon life got in their way. With a health issue brings Mac home, fate steps in. While it moves fast, it also works in this books. I mean they loved each other hard back in school and it was obvious the chemistry was still there. This is definitely the sexiest book of the trilogy. These two are like rabbits lol. It was nice to see Tawny get her happy ending. This was the perfect way to end this trilogy.
Tawny and Mac's journey was wonderful to watch unfold. From young love to true love, these two overcome heartache to learn that sometimes a second chance at first love is worth taking.
This was my favorite of the three Westmount novellas. Tawny has been hiding some herat ache from her sisters for 10 years. 10 years that she mourned for her parents and her secret boyfriend.
But Mac is back on the island as his mom has had a stroke. One look at Tawny and even Mac's dad knows that he has something to fix. He went away to college and no one knew that he and Tawny were in love and how badly it ended.
I loved them finding each other again and realizing that they still loved each other. There were some obstacles for this couple and I loved that they had to work through some things to start moving forward.
This one is definitely my favourite out of the three. Mac is the perfect alpha hero we need, gentle, protective and caring. And Tawny, as much as I wanted to shout at her, she was lovable and real. It was a great read, one I devoured in one sitting because I needed to get to the end of their story.
Perfect read for Valentines day!
All three of the Westmount Island Novellas were great reads and books that should be added to everyone's TBR list. Thank you to the author for the ARCs
Love Twany and Mac’s second chance with each other. Love how their chemistry didn’t diminish over time. Love their ending especially the part at the diner.
Out of all of the Westmount Island novellas, this was by far my favorite. I love a good second chance, and this novella did it in a quick way that left me satisfied yet wanting more at the same time. That's when you know a novella did its job. Everyone should read this trilogy!
This is the 3rd and final novella in this awesome trilogy and is Mac and Tawny’s story. These two were best friend and secretly dating in high school, and when Mac leaves for college, the distance comes into play, and they break up, breaking both of their hearts. Now 10-years later Mac is returning to their small town as his family needs him to come home, it is only a matter of time before they come face to face again. Mac is determined to win Tawny back and give their love a 2nd chance. This is a written story which is sweet, emotional, and heartwarming steamy story. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Tawny and Mac are the third and finally series in the Westmount Island series. All of these books can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading all three. This is a second chance romance between two people that hid their love from everyone while they were younger. A misunderstanding ended their relationship and they are brought back together all these years later when a family crisis occurs. This was the perfect ending to the series bringing everything together. ‘I need her, I need to feel her surround me, cementing out love and bonding us together’. Mac is amazing and so easy to fall in love with. I felt for Tawny and Mac while reading this book. Communication is everything and without it disaster occurs.
I was given this ARC by the author in return for an honest review.
This is book 3 in the Westmount Island and definitely needs to be read in order, or as a standalone if that's your thing.
❤ Second chance ❤ Childhood sweethearts ❤ Small town
Oh I just loved Mac, he is just the sweetest kindest hot sexy guy out there. The way he cares for Tawny and looks after her is just Beautiful. Tawny it was so nice seeing inside your head and seeing what or who makes you tick. Up until now you were just the over protective big sister and now we see you for the loving person you are that dealt with huge heartbreak.
Loved diving back in to this Island, beautiful family and their partners oh and of course that last scene at the Diner was just brilliant, I literally laughed out loud.
Definitely recommend this series to anyone that loves a romance novella.
A quick little read. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first novella in the series (I skipped the second one), but it was still very enjoyable. Two people reconnecting after a long time apart, due to a misunderstanding. They still love each other and try to make it work this time. Tawny’s reluctance to ‘go public’ felt kind of childish and annoyed me a bit. The spice was hot, the romance sweet. Nice short read before bed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Such a lovely second chance romance. I loved Tawny and Mac's story! Even though these were novella's I thoroughly enjoyed this series and all of these characters in this small island town!
A beautiful conclusion to the Westmount Island trilogy. Mac and Tawny were secret high school sweethearts but their relationship ended with broken hearts. Shawn is returning to Westmount Island to help his parents. The first time Shawn and Tawny see each other again you feel the heartbreak and tension but also their chemistry.
Mac is one super swoony hero. You can't help but fall for him helping his parents, growing his construction business, and showing Tawny how much he loves her.
My favorite part of this series is the relationship between the sisters. Their bond is special and whether someone needs a hug or a good talking to, they are they for each other.
You can read this as a stand-alone but I recommend experiences all that Westmount Island has to offer and read the whole series from the beginning.
*Thank you Julia Jarrett for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.
Honest Arc For Review. Falling Forever is Book #3 and the final novella , in the Westmount Island Trilogy .This Book follows the story Tawny , Kayla And Elle’s older sister .This is a small town , second chance romance , not usually one of my favorite Tropes , But it has been growing on me lately , Especially after reading This series by Julia Jarrett . Many years ago Tawny had a secret boyfriend Mac , she was convinced that he was the person she wound end up spending her life with . Unfortunately, things changed when MAC went off to college . Tawny has not seen Mac in years . Now he has come back home and the only thing on his Mind is getting Tawny back . Will they be able to work though all the obstacles in their way and find love together again . I have loved everything about this series . Go Grab it as soon as you can
Tawny and Mac were high school sweethearts even if the island had no idea. When Mac left for college they ended things and while neither found love they haven't seen or spoken to each other in ten years. Mac is now back and they finally talk to each other and when they realize a small misunderstanding has kept them apart, they give it a chance. The bid issue? Mac lives and works on the mainland so can this work for more than the time he is on the island?
An extremely short and quick second chance, small-town read. What bummed me was the grave miscommunication that lead to the years of fallout and how neither tried to reach out to the other after that. No third-act breakups and stuff, so grateful for that. Since it was quick book, there isn't much emotional connect that you can build with the characters, so if you want a quick read when you are bored go for it!
10+ years ago in high school , Mac and Tawny faced teenage miscommunication. All these years later, Mac is back in their hometown to help his parents. After seeing Tawny for the first time in years, they have to decide if/ how they will move ahead with their future.
Another quick, easy read! Be sure to check out Falling Forever!
This the third book in the Westmount Island story. I this was a wonderful read. The characters I thought had chemistry. I enjoyed reading about Mac and Tawny. It was well written. I liked the storyline.
