SULTRY OBLIVION is book 3 in the angsty bestselling rockstar romance series OBLIVION. Start reading now—and fall in beat with Nash and Aya's heart-stealing romance!
With a degree in international marketing and a varied career path that includes content management for a web firm, marketing direction for a high-profile sports agency, and a two-year stint with a renowned literary agency, award-winning author Alexa Padgett has returned to her first love: writing fiction.
Alexa spent a good part of her youth traveling. From Budapest to Belize, Calgary to Coober Pedy, she soaked in the myriad smells, sounds, and feels of these gorgeous places, wishing she could live in them all—at least for a while. And she does in her books.
She lives in New Mexico with her husband, children, and Great Pyrenees pup, Ash. When not writing, schlepping, or volunteering, she can be found in her tiny kitchen, channeling her inner Barefoot Contessa.
Nash and Aya have a lot of work to do. Love is hard but relationships are even harder. Trying to figure out where they fit in each other’s lives is not easy, especially when the past follows you and won’t let go. Their story is emotional, full of angst and you may want to throw something a time or two, but I’m really loving these characters and can’t wait for the last installment to see how it all ends. Amazing!
Well, my favorite rock star couple may finally be back in each other's lives, but holy wow, is there a lot to work out! Nash has some major unresolved issues from his parenting that have wreaked havoc on his life, and Aya is still shunning the spotlight and trying to make some decisions. There's some inspiring growth for both of them, but they also still have a few things to learn. All I can say is hold on tight because your emotions are in for the ride of their life with these two.
Whether you wait until the final book is out or read along eagerly awaiting the final installment, make sure you add this series to your TBR. Without a doubt, this is one of Padgett's finest works to date, and this emotional, memorable, phenomenal series is one you definitely won’t want to miss!
I am amazed at how quickly I became invested in these characters and their story. We are on the third book and I still can not get enough. Get your tissues handy, this installment is a little more cerebral as Nash and Aya navigate past hurts and lack of trust to heal to move forward. I am several days after finishing the book, yet Nash and Aya are still in my thoughts. Bring on Forever Oblivion.
Thank you to the author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
Wow oh wow! Nash & Aya’s story is such an emotional roller coaster. Real love takes work. I laughed, cried & yelled out loud! Brilliantly written. Recommend to all
Sultry Oblivion is the third book in Nash & Aya's tumultuous journey and you simply cannot start with this one, you need to read them in order. These two have already gone through the fire but the embers weren't out, so now that they're doing their best to actually make a go of it, his fame is still going to play a huge part in it plus his past demons. Of course the paps are going to hound them, and have no class, plus fans & bloggers so it's a circus, which is doing Aya's head in again since she fears the spotlight like for real & it comes with the territory. So of course, there are new obstacles, and I have to wonder how much angst can one couple take before throwing in the towel completely?! I know I'm super frustrated like you wouldn't believe, and frankly, my kindle barely made it out alive. AND their story is STILL not over so I'm not sure I won't need counseling LOL. I'm not sure how much more I can take LOL, but I know that I need to know how it all pans out so I'm in it for the long haul! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Nash and Aya get back together but continue to struggle with old hurts from family, and each other, that cause trust issues. They try to take things slow and really get to know each other again, but the love is so strong. Didn't put this down till I'd read the whole thing and can't wait for the last book to see how their work through their problems and get their HEA. I received an ARC for an honest review.
Such a good continuation of Aya and Nash's story. There were so many times that I had a love/hate relationship with these two but they redeem themselves. Once again love the side characters. Definitely recommend this series.
This third book in the series is a little hard to read. They fight constantly and question each other about everything. It's hard because you feel their emotions and want to help. I liked how they can work together in times are stress even when they are at each other's throats.
Aya and Nashs series has kept me engaged since book one and it gets better and better. These two are stronger together then they are apart and are finally realizing that but they have a lot of water to navigate to make sure this time they are unbreakable
Sultry Oblivion Alexa Padgett Part 3 Oblivion Series Reunited but wary. When Aya fled England she ran straight to Austin to confront her past. Will the media destroy the peace she is looking for? Swoony, heartfelt and slaying. This book has all of the hard feelings for Nash and Aya as their past catches up with them and chases them for all their worth. Part 3 of 4 this is not a stand-alone! I want to devour the final, I can’t wait but I bet it will go to fast! Ms Padgett you have done it again. I received an arc of this book.
This rockstar romance continues. And it just plays your heart strings. The struggle for Nash and Aya are real and so relatable and you can’t help but cry with them, root for them and maybe yell when they have less the stellar moments of idiocy. But their childhood ties just keep you glued to the pages and what’s going to happen. I read this book cover to cover with out moving off the couch and am so ready to see where this goes in the last book of their love saga!
I loved watching Aya and Nash continue to navigate the waters of their relationship together. Angsty, real, and full of emotion, I don't think this series can get much better! Looking forward to the HEA I know Alexa will give these characters!
Once again, another awesome read in the 'Oblivion' series. I love these two main characters, also the side characters are a joy to read about. In this book Aya and Nash are trying to get back to the trust and emotional level that they once had for each other. Aya is still scared thinking she doesn't fit in Nash's world and Nash is scared that Aya will eventually leave him again. I was really surprised when Aya read her mom's will and even though she hasn't told Nash yet, I can't wait to see what happens when she does and find out hopefully, how the will even got that stipulation in it for Aya. This book was steamy and had a lot of sweet moments. I love this whole series and can't wait to read the next book. I completely recommend this book to anyone who loves romance stories that enthrall you from the very beginning. I received a review copy of this story from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review.
The heart-sore saga of Nash and Aya continues, forcing us to wonder if these good people will ever find happiness. As Aya leaves England for America after her father’s manipulation and theft from her trust fund, her intent is to find herself and settle her feelings for Nash. Her love has been in limbo for years. It’s time to move forward. Nash has never lost his love for Aya, but the emotional abuse he has suffered as well as the parental manipulation contributed to his addictive behavior and general distrust for others. When the ill-fated party happened that impacted both he and Aya, their biased memories drove a further wedge between them. Taking control of his behavior after an admission to Rehab, Nash tries to improve communication with his team, friends and Aya. He goes so far as to tell Aya that honesty and communication is a “deal breaker” for him as he has been a victim throughout his life. Their efforts to unravel the past and make a clean start is at the heart of this story. As they learn to appreciate each other again, the paparazzi, friends and family all have opinions as to how their lives together should unfold. It’s a constant push/pull and how they handle it defines their future. This book is Part 3 of 4 and should be read in order. It’s a lovely story of people who want and deserve happiness but it continuously alludes them. The author spins a warm and angsty tale that is well worth reading.
I was so happy that Nash and Aya are finally back together but was not expecting to have my emotions on another roller coaster ride. While Nash deals with his family issues Aya is dealing with being in the spotlight. As they maneuver through this chapter of their lives they are doing it together. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ expect your emotions to be everywhere but in the best possible way. Patiently waiting for the HEA!!!
This is book three in A Bad Boy Rockstar Romance Series and it continues Aya and Nash's story. Aha and Nash have decided to give there relationship another chance but things keep getting in there way and then disaster strikes get again when they both find out the contents of the wills left for them and then put in another problem of Aya's father who wants her inheritance and is doing everything that he can to discredit her and things take a turn for the worse for Aya and Nash but then put in lack of trust and you have to wonder if they will ever have a happy ending. Omg I couldn't put this book down and I had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next between Aya and Nash. This book kept you on the edge of your seat and it was so addictive that I can't wait to read the next book in this series. Alexa Padgett is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and the depth of her stories is what keeps you coming back to read more of her books. I definitely recommend you read this series and you will definitely not be disappointed.
Another great book in the series. They keep me coming back to read more with each in I finish. The story of Nash and Aya and the work required to make a relationship work is so real. People want the fairy tales and many times they forget to factor in life. This one does just that and we get to follow along on Nash and Aya's quest to find each other and find their forever love.
Nash and Aya's story continues on Sultry Oblivion. They are back together but the road ahead is rocky as their past catches up with them. Both Nadh and Aya have a lot to work through, both separately and together if they are going to make their relationship work.
This is book three is this fabulous series and each book needs to be read in order. Your emotions will be in a spin but if you take a chance on this series I don't think you'll be disappointed.
*****Sultry Oblivion by Alexa Padgett: love this series So angsty and emotional… with deep pain and deeper love. This is the ultimate love story with a lot of drama, all the feels, and off the charts chemistry! I can’t wait to read the final book in this series. —PTATORS
Another fantastic addition to the oblivion series . I have been hooked since the very first book . Nash and Aya have a tough journey ahead of them . That’s what makes it such a wonderful and beautiful story though . Just as life has obstacles and relationships take work . They are not always easy or perfect , neither is their story . The steam , the chemistry, the emotion , are only a few of the things that make this a must read . Alexa never fails to deliver a fantastic read . I cannot express how much I am loving this phenomenal series . It truly is a must read ❤️❤️❤️
I really enjoyed "Sultry Oblivion" by Alexa Padgett. I'm a fan of this author and despite receiving a complimentary copy of this book - I would still say I would pay full price for this one. This is the much anticipated third book in the series featuring the characters Nash and Arya. This story just keeps getting better and better. The writing was outstanding - full of all the angst and challenges young love can bring. The author did a great job writing engaging characters that you can't help getting attached to. All in all - a great read and one that would be an excellent addition to your book collection. Happy Reading...enjoy!
In this third book Nash and Aya need to work on trust between them. At the same time they have to deal with the rest of the world that isn't so happy with their relationshio, including fans and bandmates. They also decide to read the wills of Aya's mother and Nash's grandfather and mother, and the terms of each will can shake this trust they've been working so hard to restore. Nash and Aya will need to trust their feelings and each other in order to make this relationship between them possible. I loved the story and I'm looking forward to reading the conclusion of it all.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is the first series I've been truly addicted to in a long time. It is everything I love in books. There is so much angst and seems to keep my emotions in a vise. Nash and Aya are trying their best to make a go of it but human nature seems to constantly be trying to get in their way. I was constantly shouting at the people who wanted to stick their noses in their business. The paparazzi should be outlawed. Since this is the third book in a continuing story, I don't want to give anything away. You have to start with book one, not this book. I'm loving the journey as they desperately try to make it to their HEA. This is my honest opinion, freely given.
Boy oh boy is Alexa Padgett taking Nash and Aya on the drama ride of their young lives. Not sure if these two will ever figure things out. This review may contain spoilers for book two.
"I wish we'd been older, more mature, better and expressing ourselves. That I'd given you the opportunity to explain, that I hadn't hurt you that day."
There it is, the crux of this young, volatile relationship. These two have been through hell and back and really have zero ways to communicate it. He likes to numb and she likes to run. There is something that keeps them together, if only they could move on from the past.
"That we had less dysfunctional childhoods. Less grief and loss and crazy backstabbing."
At first I felt Nash was the problem, however this time around I see clearly that it is both of them and honestly, they would be better apart. However, they insist on seeing this thing through, so we are along for the bumpy ride that is their love story.
"I'd committed to him on one level, but not with my trust."
The Lindsey thing hangs heavy in Aya's mind, something she thinks about and brings up often. No matter how many times she hears that it wasn't Nash's fault, the anger and humiliation are still there. Something she's trying her best to work through.
"We had to firm our foundation, to grow so strong together that pettiness and lies wouldn't matter."
Preach it sister! The book is well written and pretty much about the above, these two kids learning to trust and move forward. Too bad there is yet another wrench thrown in their plans. As the third book in the series, Sultry Oblivion offers up much more detail and again, we are left with some unfinished business.
This installment of Nash and Aya's story finds them struggling to banish their own personal demons. They both have issues that have to be addressed and put to rest before they can move forward and try to establish a strong, healthy, lasting relationship together. It was heartbreaking to read at times. Their lives have both been full of tragedy and drama. You just want to see them both truly happy. The question is - - can they find that happiness together?
I've enjoyed both of the other books leading up to this one. Sultry Oblivion continues their story in a way that is necessary to truly develop and mature their story. It's a tough but intrinsic part of their story. Of course, I had to immediately jump into the next book, Forever Oblivion when I finished. I just love this couple.
Thank you to NABC and the author for this complimentary reader's copy. I chose to voluntarily read and review it and the opinions contained within are my own.
This is the 3rd book in this awesome series and Aya and Nash are reconciled, but they have some navigating to do as their relationship evolves, plus Nash has some major unresolved issues to overcome. Aya’s fear of the paparazzi has her shunning the limelight, and these two works hard to make their relationship work no matter what. Add into the mix jealousy from rivals and their journey is not an easy one. This is a well written flawless story which is an emotional roller coaster, with angst, twists, humor, and love, which leads to a heartfelt and all-consuming riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I always highly recommend.
