I cannot believe my all time favorite wattpad author finally published her first book!! I have been reading books by Ellis for quite a few years now. We are both wattpad OG’s and I’ve been a fan of the original book, ‘The wolf wants me’ and now the new and improved ‘Golden’. I literally love Trent and Elle so much. Ellis’ writing has gotten me through many stages of my life and I will always cherish her and her characters. I can’t wait for what’s next in store for Ellis as a now published author!! ♡

*will post an in depth review later*

Great book!

This hands down is a great read. It’s not your typical cliche werewolf book.

Read it!! You won’t be disappointed. I promise.

One of my absolute favorites! I have already read Golden on Wattpad and absolutely loved it that’s why I am even happier that Ellis finally published the book!
Not only created Ellis one of the best werewolf books in the genre but the book also teaches us about self acceptance and the value of love. Not only does Trent help Elle realize how much of a strong person she is but Elle also experiences huge character development that makes me as a reader absolutely happy and emotional!

Great book with important message :)

This book is truly one of the best ones I’ve ever read, I remember first finding it on Wattpad a few years ago and it only had a couple chapters, I reread those chapters countless times and let myself get lost in them and I would get so excited when I got the notification that it had been updated. I found this book when I was going through a really hard time, and to be able to have an escape from the real world, from all the problems, it honestly helped me so much. I’m not going to lie, for a little while I lost myself and I stopped reading this book, I just disconnected myself from everything and I let myself fall in a pit of sadness, after a few months, I downloaded Wattpad again and the first book I opened up was Golden, I saw the author had made a few changes to some chapters, she added bits of parts, edited the little spelling errors, and although I sound so crazy saying all this, I couldn’t help but feel happy knowing I caught the little editing, it made me realize how many times I had actually reread those first few chapters up until I stopped reading the story. Now I read the story and feel connected to the main character, Elle, and to the author as well. This fairytale may just be a fairytale, but to me, as well as many others who love to read, it’s an escape from reality, to be able to have a love for reading and to let your imagination take you places that let you be happy in moments of pain. When I first saw that this book was being published, I cried. To see someone succeed, and see they are going to publish a book that helped you through so much pain, it’s honestly an indescribable feeling. One of the most amazing, beautifully written books I’ve ever come across, it will leave you in shock, crying, fan girling, squealing like a little girl who just found out they are going to Disneyland, at some points you will put it down and try to comprehend what just happened, you’ll reread certain pages over and over again, it will make you relate to some things, but most of all, it will let you escape reality for a bit, 10/10 one of the most beautiful books out there. ❤️

"Love is not about who you are without that person, it's about who you are with them. And if you think you'd be someone else without them, then you weren't yourself with them in the first place."

The synopsis-
Annabelle has an “amazing” boyfriend, “great” friends (friend) and an “AMAZING” life, or so everyone thinks. Trent Night- a hottie mcsteamy romance machine- is a werewolf, dealing with nightmares from his past that are haunting him and won’t let him go.
When Elle meets Trent or when Trent meets Elle. Everything changes.
Now Elle has to find the strength to realize what she wants and what she deserves.
While Trent has to decide if he wants to let his past continue to plague him, or if he’ll finally let go and let Elle’s light into his life, giving him a future he wants but doesn’t think he deserves.
This book is filled with twists, turns, and you might need tissues.
So if you think your ready, then buckle up, find a cozy spot, pop some popcorn and get ready to not move for a long time. Because as soon as you start reading this book, you can’t stop.

Golden is amazing. It’s a book about facing challenges, facing yourself and finding out what you deserve. It’s about love, not just romantic love, but learning to love yourself to realize what you deserve and what you don’t. This book came out when I was dealing with a lot of crap in my own life. I was depressed and I was suicidal, reading this book and watching it develop over time. Falling in love with Trent and seeing him treat Elle with love and respect that helped her develop into this amazing character- it just killed me. It made me cry watching her grow and mature and learn to treat herself with kindness and the love that she deserves. God. This book just kills me.
It’s amazing. The writing is amazing. The love is a slow burn- but it’s just wonderful and fills you with butterflies. I would definitely rate this book with 10 stars if I could!
Just- pick up a copy and give it a try.
What’s the worse that could happen, besides you know falling in love with MORE fictional characters!

I read this book on Wattpad a few years ago, and I was so excited when she revealed that her book was being published! She, and this book were so deserving of it! I loved it so much I had to have it on my Kindle and my Physical book shelf!

I've been a been of fan of shifter books for years, but this book is something else. The writing style is on point, the world building is great, the storyline and plot were phenomenal and heartbreaking, and the character development was perfect. This book packs a punch, figuratively and literally, it is an emotional roller coaster - and I am here for it. It was everything you want and love in a paranormal book, without everything you don't!

Trent is everything you want in an Alpha Male, he has so many qualities and quirks that make his character perfection.
Elle is an amazingly strong female main character, but not in the cliché written by a lot of authors. She struggles, and I like that you see her struggles, her perseverance is something to admire.

If you love a good slow burn shifter romance, then this book is for you!

⚠️ A trigger warning that this book does contain abuse, physical, emotional and sexual. ⚠️

The Synopsis for the book copied from Amazon:

Every girl wants to be Annabelle Williams—beautiful, smart, popular, and with the perfect boyfriend, Matt, there's nothing she doesn't have.

Trent Night seems like your typical boy who wants what he can't have, with secrets surrounding him and his town.

But there are two sides to every story and nothing is ever as it seems.

When Elle is suddenly introduced to Trent's world, her own turns upside down, and everything she knows changes.

What happens when two different worlds collide? Will Elle be torn apart?

This slow burn romance explores two people who have been hurt and damaged by the world, finding their solace and home in another person.

I originally found Ellis' insta page whilst just scrolling through Instagram. I saw the cover of her book and was intrigued from the moment I saw it. I automatically found it on Amazon and added it to my wishlist.

Not long after following her she DM'd me asking if I'd like a physical copy of her book and I was estatic becuase I was literally like a day away from buying it anyway.

Golden is a chunky baby of a book, she is over 700 pages and I put it off for a few days becuase I just wasn't feeling to read such a long book at the time.

I decided to pick it up this week and I'm completely mad at myself for not reading it as soon as it arrived becuase GIRL! I f*cking loved it.

This is Ellis' first published novel and you would never believe it when reading it.

The character Annabelle is with her abusive very controling boyfriend she met while in school. One of the reasons she continued to stay with him is because she can't help but see the best in people even when he treats her like crap.

My heart broke for Elle throughout the whole beginning of this book😭. Ellis really knew how to make me hate Matt with a passion 😂.

Until..

Elle met Trent 😈 who is one of the kids from the joining town who have had to integrate with her school due to and accident at theirs.

From there Elle begins to see the the wrongs of her current boyfriend and is reminded when spending time with Trent what it's meant to be like to be treated like a girlfriend should.

Overall I absolutely loved this book, the angst between Elle and Trent was just *chefs kiss* and honestly I just love him he's just so frickin adorable man 😭.

I adored the dynamic between Elle her best friend Kristie . Kristie Brought out the true parts of Ella which she'd hide away when around her bf and father. The friendship between them was just so pure I couldn't help but smile during their interactions with one another.

As of recently I have been reading quite a few different books that have had domestic abuse within them. I had never read any book before this last month that introduced characters who have suffered through a relationship like that.

Ellis allowed us insight into the world of domestic abuse and what it is like to truly be with somone who you thought would never treat you that way. It was beautiful to see Elle finally realise her worth and potential. Although she had at this point escaped the confinements of both her boyfriend and her father, Elle still suffered through the trauma of her past as she learnt to move on from it💔.
If you haven't read this book THEN!! Um what are you doing READ IT!!!!!🤭😂

Overall rating:
4.5 Stars!!!

Finally, a teen romance novel that keeps up with contemporary times! The author goes out of their way to consider the impact of perpetuating toxic relationships for passionate ones and ensures this perception could not be mistaken within their pages. Handling delicate topics like trauma in a realistic yet kind tone.
Having not particularly engaged with many fantasy novels since I was a teen, this book hooked me in with unique, charismatic characters and stellar plot twists - it has reignited a love for fiction I thought I lost in my youth and for that it deserves five stars.

That rarest of beasts: the perfect paranormal Romance. This extraordinary novel set my blood fizzing―I quite literally couldn't put it down. I told myself I'd just dip in; eleven hours later―it's now 5:47 a.m.―I've finished it, absolutely dazzled.
Hypnotic, rattling.... Time collapses as, minute by minute, krakauer rivetingly and movingly chronicles what ensued, much of which is near ecstasy to read.... A brilliantly told storyline that won't go begging when the year's literary honors are doled out

This book is my all time favorite book on Wattpad. I connected with the main character, Annabelle, and in my opinion the Author did an amazing job at writing the relationship she has with Matthew. This book honestly helped me get through a time where I felt alone and misunderstood from leaving something extremely similar and will be my comfort book from now on. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and know it'll be just as great, if not better then Golden. 10/10 do recommend!

I heard this book from a friend and decided to give this new author a try, I love reading from new authors no one has heard before!
Unfortunately, I read a lot within the genre and I consider myself a super fan of books of this type and I thought I would love this but I didn’t. This might be someone else’s cup of tea.
I found the writing amateurish and got distracted from the characters and the plot. I also wasn’t a fan of the actual plot itself.

I like how it tackles some important subjects and more books need to do this.

All in all, this book just isn’t for me but I gave it a fair go.
