I am Beck, Austin Beck. Ok, that was lame. I am Austin, and I love litrpg, gamelit, harem, wuxia, and xianxia! My first novel, Mixed Martial Cultivator: Round One, combines all of these genres together. I write books that are action-packed in more ways than one. They do have graphic depictions of the naughty nature, so you have been warned. If you are kind enough to read my novels...PLEASE leave a review for me. They are so important for new authors like me! Thank you for checking my novels out. Happy Reading!

Absolutely awful, reads like a first draft

The protagonist, GigaChad MicroBrain, is a disaster. His backstory is a ripped off version of Miami Vice, but it's totally different because Crockett was a cop and GigaChad is a fireman, so it's cool that everything else is the same. His powers come from The Sims. His character is: using profanity, communicating poorly, failing to understand simple instructions, and missing the obvious. Women proposition him at first sight -because who wouldn't, am I right?
He dies and meets God, who strangely tells him that God isn't real and there isn't an afterlife, and then immediately instructs GigaChad to start a new life to entertain him. (tell me how you feel about religion without telling me how you feel about religion!) GigaChad is just special like that, I guess.
What else can I tell you about this dumpster fire? The setting is Generic Zombie Apocalypse. The helper fairy is actually more useless and annoying than Navi was in the Ocarina of Time. The harem girls have less depth than wallpaper.
The best thing to do with this book is avoid it.

Over the top action and characters, what more could you want?!

Before I review I just wanted to mention it is so nice to see when an author actually puts some thought and effort into making the story a complete experience. The addition of the illustrations throughout the book were a great touch.

Now, as far as the review goes, this story is face paced, over the top (on purpose), and overall just a fun read.

The main character was a football who had it all going for him before an accident derailed his career. He switched to being a fireman instead, and as he goes to save a woman and child, he finds himself transported to a new world.

In the new world things are definitely not what they seem. That is where the fun begins. He gets a guide of sorts that explains the “rules” of this new world. I enjoyed this aspect very much.

I feel like the author intended this one to be enjoyable, face paced, action packed, with its share of steamy action. One of said steamy scenes even shows up within the first ten minutes of the book. Yes, please!

The book sets up well for a sequel. I can’t wait to see what the next book will bring.

Nothing specifically wrong with it

Isekai- Harem- Sex scenes.
A mediocre book with little new or unique about it. If you are not tired of the same old - same old, and especially if you are a fan of Michael-Scott Earle inspired works then this is a passable combination of Dragon Slayer and Tamer: King of Dinosaurs with the undeserved arrogance of a Dante King main character and many other bits & pieces thrown in for additional flavor.
If you've read more than 5 harem books you'll swear you've read this before.

Not bad, could use some work

Not a bad start! Very interesting concept ! I would say though the writing needs some work, doesn’t flow the best. Also the overly detailed just doesn’t come natural ie “my Chevy Silverado pickup, costa sunglasses, yeti cooler. Focus on letting the writing flow a little more naturally especially with the relationships as well and it’ll be so much better !

Meat head gets reincarnated magic and girls…

I did not enjoy the snow. The character is a total meathead. Although our typical heroic, he does some of the stupidest mistakes out there. The girls that he locates are archetypes and really have no personalities of their own… And more as described about their anatomy then any other trade they have well I’ll just hang onto him for any kind of actual usefulness. You have the arch typical nympho and the arch typical mean girl.

Interesting start spoiled by insertion of politics

Fantasy harem are situations monster girls LitRPG light
Typical LitRPG scenario, a heroic death earns new life on another planet with game system mechanics. The former firefighter becomes a fire mage and hooks up with a cat girl after freeing her from another "transient" from another world. Plot ensues.

I was on board with the story till the end. The author hinted before, but was smart and for the most part kept politics out of his stories. I am seriously not a fan of Reagan, and I am positive the author is not old enough to remember the man or his administration. What I remember is markedly different than the politically rehabilitated figure bandied about today, and the many figures of his flunkies imprisoned for blatant corruption. I read these type of books for story, characters, interactions, and dialog. In short, to be entertained, and if the adults in the story engage in sex, well, adults do that. Politics are polarizing, and muddy what is supposed to be fantasy into something else that goes beyond breaking down the fourth wall. Reagan was responsible for tens of thousands of deaths in Central America alone, for empowering drug cartels that today not only openly sell drugs in our American streets but also traffic in sex slaves, and have made Mexico into a deadly nightmare. Really, if you're going to write fantasy fiction, keep politics out of it. The stories will age better, too. As for me? I'm going to do something else because when I think about Reagan and Ollie North and those other corporate thugs, I'm so angry I could... Well, see the problem? The story itself gets lost and I need to do something else to calm down.

really good

First time reading something from this author and I must say I loved it. The first page had him listing 10 major brands 😂😂. Also, as a paramedic I resonated heavily with Mason BIG TIME…. Also to the cry baby far left turn folks that didn’t like the RR riding a raptor with a pew give us more of your tears. They’re sweet and salty…. Our favorite!! There was nothing at all wrong with that inclusion. The galactic super being guy put stuff in from earth and those shirts and posters are actually quite popular. I bet the Stars and Stripes bikini a]made you all cry too because you hate the nation so much. I have some advice… MOVE! Now, the story was actually quite good! The world building was intense and well thought out… I think though Mason went at some things wrong. I think he did do right by buying some sentry turrets etc but I think it would have been very smart to go back to that place and salvage fire engine parts, hoses, engines maybe fine some axes, more haligans etc. so much could be found laying on a engine or on the truck! Also turning the vehicle in for RP! Also, what about revenge? Piper needs some get backs ASAP! I wasn’t expecting that at all. So much went down! One thing I like about Beck is he’s not afraid to mess up the main characters 😂. Most authors won’t do that… also, who is the girl with the glasses on the cover? It’s not Lola and Piper and it’s not scarlet 🤔🤔. I look forward to finishing this series and reading more from Beck! Onward lads!

This has a quick, easy set up. It fails with the hero.

Everything falls into place in the world set up, there are no surprises at all. This leaves it as mediocre at best. The characters are unoriginal and lack any depth. The main character is weak. He takes verbal abuse with a smile, and threats are allowed to walk away without a care. This leads to obvious loss that could have been prevented. He is weak. This is a fun, quick read. But it has a poor main character and no real story.

Decidedly "meh". MC is a pompous "alpha" who of course is hot (plausible, those people exist) with a huge cock (of course) who gets laid in the first chapter; you can see where this goes. He gets killed (not really a spoiler in an isekai) doing something stupid and wastes no time finding an alien hottie when he's transported.

This sort of simple-minded story appeals to some people, but there is very little story to go with the various tropes and sex scenes. It's light alright, and if that's what you're looking for, this delivers. It's just been done better elsewhere.

solid entry

This was a good story. The plot lined kept me engaged however there were grammatical errors that threw me out of the story things like repeated words or sentence gramma that was just incorrect. Nothing more than .5 of a star. But I took off 1.5 stars because one of the main characters just irritated me. Our main character saves a cat girl which is hot. Then he saves her sister who proceeds to call him a racist be a colossal a-hole the entire book and she just completely irritated me the entire book. Other than that I can’t wait for book 2

Descent story BUT....

Hero here goes from competent to MORON in a New York minute!! Who, with ANY brain cells put anyone they even "like" in freaking "Daisy Dukes" and tank tops with ZOMBIES around?! If, as the author states, Hero-boy is from our Today-Earth how is he SO clueless about them? I may get the next one to see if it gets better....then again ONLY because it's free to me.

A promising series.

I enjoyed reading this book. The story and characters were interesting, intriguing, and engaging. It could use a little more editing. There were some punctuation issues and a couple of places where the sentences had extra words. Like, and then and then. I look forward to reading more about these characters and their further adventures. This book is definitely worth giving it a chance.

Good premise, awful MC

He is an elite football player but afraid of slow fiends? Think zombie. I'm sure football players hit harder. Also, he says the dumbest things, even God and his assistant said so. Finally, he is so naive he let a stranger with a weapon take his home cause he turned his back. You don't try diplomacy when the other guy has a weapon.

Fun Read

Mason, a star football player and firefighter, dies attempting to rescue a baby and is transported to another world. He rescues damsels in distress and starts a harem. Adventures ensure as he protects his girls and what he has built. I like the action, humor, game like world, and lust/love. I look forward to the next book.

Firefighter, now Fire Mage & Hero

Life is 'Hard' for this one time Firefighter reborn to a Fire Mage and Hero. He had 4 wifes, now more...
He fights for the lives of his women against the evils of this new unforgiving world while keeping the women sexually satisfied. Truly a 'Hard' job.

A fun and easy read beginning to end.

Hard to enjoy a book when you dislike the protagonist. Don't even have a good reason I can explain. Maybe it really is just that it's impossible for an Auburn grad to get past the Alabama football player backstory. For real criticisms, the worst thing I can say is that all the characters including the protagonist felt very flat and fake.

Fun story with consequences, awkward dialog

It was a ton of fun! I was honestly expecting this to be another "smooth sailing for MC and Co." kind of story, but it has consequences that will likely last for the rest of the series.

Dialog reads like a textbook at times though.

Great Book

Good story, interesting characters and diabolical villains. The book seemed a bit short it built up to a interesting point but seems more like an introduction. I need much more than this, book2 soon please!

This was a entertaining and fast read, if game mechanics and being transported to another world with cute otherworldly girls is an itch you need scratched this story will certainly do!

Vanilla monster-girl harem

The story isn’t overly original it’s more a short simple story for I guess casual readers of a smutty monster girl harem type novel that it really dosen’t have any whaw factor that just drifted threw the story till finish.

Ok

Too many of the genre cliches. Some editing issues. And I really did not need the manga style illustrations. Not sure I would try 2

Not Bad

Not bad but not great. Story has potential but the characters could use some more development. It is pretty typical of the genre.
