Hope blooms, pointing to the end of the Zombie Apocalypse. Will revenge allow it to blossom or crush it under foot?Michael Christopher thought the ugly wound on his arm meant certain death. Michael was immune and the key to ending the zombie apocalypse! But, now he sits surrounded by the walking dead and they’re seeking revenge for their failed attack. Will he escape death again or become a victim to retribution?Retribution is book two in the Operation Z series and written as a firsthand account of the zombie apocalypse. If you like fast-paced action, zombie gore, and survival thrillers then you’ll love G. D. Szepanski’s second installment of this zombie apocalyptic adventure.
This is a really good series, and I did thoroughly enjoy the three books. It's entertaining and exciting, although it can be quite gory and near the knuckle. It’s very fast-paced with plenty of action. I do love zombie books.
There were issues with the book.
The characters were nice and then on the next page had a flip and were so horrible they hated everyone and wanted to torture them. There are instances of immaturity in the book, which annoyed me and getting names completely wrong confused me so much that I had to check the other books. Different characters were telling the same story over and over. It was still a good enough book to not finish reading it.
I read both books and was hoping the story would get better at some point. What I especially didn’t like was how the story keep repeating over and over. And how the characters didn’t really seem like able at all. I was not invested in any of them.
I read both books in a row. I love zombie books and while there was nothing really "new" in this series, it was still a good read. I would have rated it higher, but I am a stickler for Grammer, spelling and consistency. That's where these lack. Numbers change, at one point 37 zombies, then when thais particularly characters story picked up it was 27. Jennifer became Jessica and Mikey and Mickey became interchangeable. Mathew and Matthew were the same person. I also didn't care for how Donald just changed personalities overnight. End of book came too fast...seemed like author just got tired and wanted to wrap everything up or there is another book in the making. Too many characters left open ended for my liking.
Very repetitive for something so simple. It’s not a horrible book but when it changes perspective to another character to view the same event from a different mindset it takes half a chapter just to get beyond that event and caught up with other events. I understand the desire to give the perspective of another character and their thoughts. But the same dialogue and explanation does not need to be reiterated 4 times by each perspective. I felt like I was getting psychological whiplash with how much/far it would jump backwards for the little amount of information that perspective provided.
Very fast paced, plenty of action. Story from different points of view not sure which character I want to survive. First I thought it was Donald Bishop. Then Natasha and Betty. Those are my two front runners. The author has not written a book in over a year, I hope he is well and will resume writing this series it is excellent. Like I said it a little too short or I would’ve given it a five.
Brilliantly written zombie apocalypse books that are unlike many other versions of the books I have read as it moves within a group of connected yet unconnected people who are drawn into each other by accident or desire. Well written plot and storyline that I have fully enjoyed
I enjoyed finding out what all is going on with our characters. Some parts were pretty gruesome if you are into that! It ended rather abruptly. So I am ready for book 3!
I do like this series, but am finding it continuously annoying at the amount that's repeated, full paragraphs at a time. Im going to continue with the series, but not sure how long for it will depend on the repetitiveness and mistakes
Really enjoying this series. It draws you in . Not your usual zombie apocalypse book with everyone getting along and surviving . Groups form and then splinter , back stabbing and plotting to kill each other . It's survival of the fittest .
The uses of incorrect grammar and tenses of words is distracting. In one section about Ron, Rosie, and Miracle, the writer even used the name of Rosie where it should have been Miracle for the story. The books should have been proofread. Spellcheck doesn't catch all the errors.
A really brilliant second part to this exciting zombie adventure! Great ideas, good well developed characters & interesting storyline! A brilliant zombie read!
