I have written a little festive epilogue to Game Changer! And guess what? It’s free! It’s my holiday gift to you! Join Scott and Kip as they spend their first Christmas together at Kip’s parents’ house in Brooklyn.
Rachel Reid is the pen name of Rachelle Goguen. She chose it because it is much easier to say, spell and remember than Rachelle Goguen!
Rachel writes cute, romantic smut, mostly about hockey players. Her Game Changers m/m hockey romance series is available from Carina Press.
Rachel/Rachelle lives in Nova Scotia, Canada. She has always lived there, and it's looking like she probably always will. She has two boring degrees and two interesting kids.
Merry Christmas Scott & Kip is book #1.5 in the Game Changers series by Rachel Reid. This is a very short little bonus epilogue featuring Scott and Kip. It’s a free download and I have no idea how I missed it when I read this book! It’s adorable and made me fall in love with these two all over again.
It’s Christmas Eve and Scott has been away for a long string of games. Scott and Kip have decided to spend Christmas with Kip’s family. Kip is already there on Christmas Eve waiting for Scott to arrive after not seeing each other for so long. They will be spending the night in Kip’s childhood bedroom complete with his childhood twin bed! Fun is sure to be had.
This was absolutely wonderful. Even after all this time, I was drawn right back into this world and the men who I loved so much.
This was an adorable peek into Scott and Kip’s life and relationship. And it gets bonus points for reminding me of that celebratory kiss at the Stanley Cup in book 1. It still makes me smile. Kip’s parents are great. The relationship is delightful. And so was this short story. (And dad speaking French was a hilarious twist.)
Well... The novella is not available anymore on the author's website 🥲 I "merrily" found a fan translation in spanish... Let's see how much I will understand and put my studies to use 💖
A short and sweet novella that was perfect for the season, following Scott and Kip at Kip's parents' house! I enjoyed getting to see snippets of their life after the end of Game Changer, but it didn't change my life! You definitely don't have to read this, but I love to read in order when I can, and I thought this was very cute.
You can get this novella for free on her website, but I did find that it formatted weird when I read it on my Kindle, so I finished the novella on my Kindle app on my phone!
No, no aparece Ilya.
This was cute. Novellas are always a tricky format for me, and there wasn’t really anything new added here, but it was still a warm, enjoyable little read. I think I would have liked it more if it had taken place six years down the road instead of six months, but honestly, I will never turn down a chance to see the boys happy, together, and in love. You absolutely have to read the Game Changers series for this to make even a lick of sense, but as a quick visit back into their world, it delivered.
Something about the characters felt stilted and yet forced in a way that they didn’t in the first book. It felt like it was written just for the sake of more Scott and Kip without any interesting story or compelling writing—which is fine if you actually make it cute and gushy and fun to read. Idk it kind of didn’t really scratch that itch. Guess onto the show now even tho I still have to read the second book for Shane and Ilya
A short Christmas epilogue featuring how cute Skip remain together. Scott finally got a cozy, family Christmas with Kip & his family. I'm not crying, you're crying! Adore Kip's parents...
Perfect Christmas timing after just finishing Game Changer!
