Each novel in the Western Justice Riders series is a standalone story that can be read out of order.
Martin, an Army trooper, proves himself worthy to ride the River, as he has no quit in his efforts to bring justice to those responsible for their misdeeds! One exciting encounter after the other!
Another five star extravaganza by Author Jesse Storm, when he unleashes Martin, and his constituents, loose on those who feel they are consistently above the laws of the land! The bad guys have no morals when it comes to obeying the laws of the land! Outstanding camaraderie among the good guys, as they o above and beyond in their quest for those creators of the ongoing hardships levied against the good guys! The outstanding storylines reach out and grabs your undivided attention immediately and never slows down until the final paragraph has finally been read! Too,the Author's successful selection of characters were unsurpassed in their respective assignments, as the good guys, as well as the outlaws, could not have been any better portrayed throughout this compelling western masterpiece! Most definitely recommend this superbly entertaining revelations of unending excitement and compassionately motivated stories of how I often perceived our old American western frontier was finally tamed! No slow downs throughout this exciting rendition of unending gunfighting and problem solving by the good guys. I have been a firearms collector, appraiser and dealer for about 60 years and rarely do I post a critical review of western or gun related writings. I'll make an exception in this case. I read the first 2 books of this series and wondered if they would get any more accurate in their firearms depictions as they went on. They didn't. My first clues were when they author called the revolvers, "rods." It's too easy to get facts and descriptions correct. This author doesn't take the time to do that. Good yarns, distracting information.
Book was okay. The writer got lost in describing those accompanying Martin the protagonist and the outlaw men at one point. Also the writing got lost at times going from the pursuers and those pursued. Ending felt just thrown in to advance a romance between Martin and the rescued daughter that was never really established. Story could have ended with the final chase of Ellis. Writing is hard work and I know it's easy to be critical but when asked for comments its my impression you will hear both the good and the not so good. Best wishes with future efforts.
Martin Carver is an army man home on leave for a couple of weeks. His parents had died several years before. While helping his neighbor, Irving Chambers, Martin had to kill a couple of horse rustlers, while another one, Ellis, escaped. He seemed to do that a lot in this book. As retaliation, Ellis kidnaps Chamber’s wife, Jane and daughter Alice. Martin is sweet on Alice and takes this personally. The rest of this adventure focuses on getting them back. Very worth the read!
A very enjoyable book , filled with a lot of action, kindness and sensibility. One very strong minded military trained young man who stands up for what is right. In his quest to rescue a mother and daughter he is unfailing in his quest. The author does need to increase his knowledge about horses though, some things written about them are unbelievable! Good book!
Have you ever done something for someone just because it was the right thing to do? In this story, an American soldier is on leave and a neighbors wife and teenaged daughter were kidnapped and he goes after the kidnappers. Good story. Good writing. Good book.
In America we have law men, not bulls. Guns not rods. Bighorn is 500 miles from Pueblo. I certainly like British authors. But, please...don't tangle countries, language, or places. The west is unique. It has its own culture, slang, and way of doing and speaking. Have enough respect for the Natives to understand the different nations and where they actually lived.
Martin Carver, a cavalryman, goes after E!his Fox, the Outlaw who kidnapped his neighbor's wife and daughter. Lots of action and adventure. Great story of bad and good men.
Despite the constant use of bunker for hunker and the inclusion of Palfrey as a horse cavalry would ride, this book told an interesting story. I hope the author takes the time to update his book. Meanwhile, my grammar grumbly self will read more of his work.
Cattle hustlers were caught stealing his neighbor's cattle. This set off a chain of bad results. Finally the bad guys were shot and they were finally able to stop the violence.
Good story by a very good writer! This story flows well and it seems to stop time and you can almost feel that you are there. The only issue is that you loose your perspective of the time. A very good book to spend your time with.
Great storyline for this book. The way the author weaves the characters together in the book keeps you reading and not wanting to put the book down, fact it is very hard to stop due to you needing to see what happens next. Highly recommend this book
I dont normally read fiction and didnt intend to do anything but give this book a glance. I ended up reading to the end and was pleasantly entertained.
