The translation that I've read is a bit clunky at some parts but it's okay, you can still understand the thoughts. The book is short and sweet, perfect to consume on your short break. Xiao Lian and Yan Xixia are both kind characters. I just felt a bit unsatisfied at the end because I feel like it was cut hastily. I wish there were some extras.

This is just a short and sweet story, so fluffy and so harmonious. Both MC and ML are very likeable and their relationship is very wholesome and affectionate. They both have mutual trust with each other and mostly the misunderstanding that happened in a chapter got resolved in that same chapter, if not the next. The plot is also very simple, nothing too deep, perfect for passing the time.

I've been busy lately so I wanted something short and sweet, and this was exactly that.

Xiao Lian (MC) was so precious and Yan Xixia (ML) had so much fondness for him. Both of them also mutually respected each other and their feelings for each other were genuine. There was a little drama but I'm glad it was resolved quickly and the main reason was because XL and YXX communicated effectively and didn't let any small misunderstanding turn into a major issue.

For whatever reason, I wasn't expecting this to be a historical novel. I'm not sure why, it just threw me for a loop when I started. MC is the concubine-born brother to the legitimate son. He was initially supposed to marry the ML because of a family agreement and because the ML had outstanding prospects but then, due an incident that blinded the ML, the brother demanded that the marriage be called off. Since the family couldn't, they decided to cheat him by marrying him to the MC. The MC is both happy about this (he's always loved the ML) but also upset about lying to him so you know, guess it's a good thing his real identity was spoiled before the marriage ceremony.
It's mostly just a really quick, sweet story about two people who really like each other getting to be together. There's a lot of really typical tropes for this genre introduced as "conflicts," mostly in terms of the selfish brother, a scorned suitor of the MC's, and a childhood friend who's in love with the ML but almost all of them get resolved because of their own actions, not because of the MC and ML lashing out at them which I kind of liked.
Also, possibly my favorite part, is that the girl who was the childhood friend had a very clear and understandable motive behind her actions and when she realized that the MC was a good person who genuinely loved the ML, she apologized for her own behavior and resolved to support them rather than maintain her role as catty wannabe lover.
Short, sweet fluff is what I'm saying.

La historia es super linda y hasta cierto punto digerible, el desarrollo de la pareja es muy bueno y realmente para ser una historia tan corta, vale la pena dedicarle una tardecita, pero como casi todas las novelas que he leído tiene sus peros, y aunque el desarrollo de la pareja es lindo y bastante cursi en ocasiones, se me hizo muy rápido y a veces un poco irreal, y hubieron bastantes escenas que a mi entendimiento de parejas no tuvieron mucho sentido jajaja aunque de eso se trataba esta historia corta y muy poco drama. Una cosa que si no me gustó para nada y desearía que no lo hiciera era el decirle al MC "esposa" o "señora", que es un hombre, que este casado con otro no le quita lo hombre, otra cosa que me molestó un poco fue la boda, todo pasa tan rápido en ella que ni siquiera te da tiempo de conocer más y empatizar con los protas, ya después si que lo puedes hacer pero realmente en el inicio me dejan un poco picada, además del claro hecho del olvido del autor por la familia Xiao, y otro montón de personajes de relleno.
A grandes rasgos me pareció una gran historia, no la volvería a leer pero si la disfruté bastante, la recomiendo solo si les gusta las cosas muy domésticas y cursis.

It's a very light story, if you're looking for something light, cute and wholesome but short, this is perfect for you. I'm reading this to bring back my reading habit as I've been hit by reading slump lately, to be precisely, this book feels like an appetizer before main course, there's no major drama, conflict, plot twist or dog blood, just fluff, cute couple and really healthy and wholesome relationship

It might be boring if you're not into this kind of plot, but considering 15 chapters in total, this was the right amount to enjoy some light stuff in between ya all hardcore-angst-tragedy kinda story to balance our emotion hehe

i found this danmei because someone point out that this is a short story (only 15 chapters) that is very sweet and have healthy relationship.
and that's totally true.
the way they communicate, the way they trust each other and the way they see the world with the sincerest heart warms my heart so much. i guess the saying that good people will meet good people too is true, although in the process on getting your other half, you need to trade something in return, as long as you have a pure heart you will always have him ♡

This story was short and fluffy and had the healthiest MC and ML relationship, Xiao lian is the sweetest character ever and Yan Xixia is the best husband one could ever get. This novel will give you butterflies and make you root for the characters feeling like a warm hug.
Just 15 chapters, which could be completed super super fast.💕

The substituted bride trope done really well within few chapters.👌

This is such a sweet story, but it's not just fluff. It's about learning to value yourself, the value of kindness over wealth, and how to not get complacent or only judge based on the status quo (since nothing is guaranteed in the future).

I love the trust in the main relationship, and how they help make each of other better. It's such an ideal of what to aspire to in a romantic relationship.

A história tem apenas 15 capítulos, então é muito rápida de ler.

Found this when I was looking for Disability Rep. The ML lost his sight after an accident. Unfortunately, the story was too short for anything to happen at all.
