After Touya declines a noble title for his service to the king, he receives a hefty sum of gold and a mansion all to himself instead! But before he and the girls can settle into their new home, they’ve got a new quest with international implications! They’ll have to open up a gate to Mismede—a deceptively simple task that doesn’t take long to go awry…
I really am enjoying reading this series, its been a while since I've seen the anime so it's Been more like, oh I remember this part which I've liked quite a bit.
So life is good for Touya. He saved the king; he's engaged to the princess; he's got three other cute girls who are in love with him; the king offered him a noble title that got swapped out for a plot of land and a house big enough for their whole group to live in. The only conflict is he's got four girls not-so-secretly fighting over him and his built in translator is a bit wonky.
But all of this is lacking in the adventure department so on to the next task: escorting messengers to the neighboring kingdom and setting up a fast travel gate so the two kings can sort out their alliance, complete with bandits and a dragon attack.
