Kumoko has her final showdown with Mother in the depths of the labyrinth, and thereafter spends her time on the surface world dealing with humans. She meets another reincarnation who is an infant, giving the reader a better idea of the time scale of the story. This baby is also .
When I say the spider is "dealing with humans ," it's pretty over the top. She affiliates herself with the lord who's the father of baby Sophia, which in the long run entails killing thousands of people. At the same time she stumbles into creating a cult around herself by healing humans in the forest outside Sariella, the lord's holding. The volume ends with a foe she has unfinished business with suddenly showing up while she is assisting Sariella in a war. What next?
I haven't gotten to this part of the novel series yet--volume 4 ends when the spider has barely met Sophia--and the manga definitely feels like a summary of a much longer story. Everything feels rushed and abrupt, and the spider's character sheet must be pages long by now because of the absurd rate that she's leveling up and gaining titles and skills. She even near-instantaneously gains a rudimentary understanding of the humans' language, which in a way is less believable than the rest. But that's okay, since I'm sure some of this will be dealt with in more "depth" (or a least length) in the novels which I'll be reading eventually, and the manga is a fun, brisk read, with lots of silly cartoon emoting.
Baba's short-short story is another metafictional rambling, this time about the levels of technology in the medieval-esque human society.

The Queen is dead. Long live the victor.
After a long time of mental warfare with three of Kumoko's minds the damage on the Queen Taratect has left her incredibly weakened but old "mom till has a few tricks up her sleeve to even the battle. It would be a real shame if say...Kumoko could get a boost from her recent game breaking technique to make the fight unfair. :)
Back to avoiding the dread Demon Lord Ariel it is a return trip to the world outside the labyrinth where Kumoko discovers some humans in trouble and decided help/get a bunch of experience by stopping the bandits (they explain why in this volume.) To her surprise she discovers the young baby with the human's she saved is another reincarnated human like herself (although she never really bothered putting names to faces in the past.) Now curious about finding another person from Japan (even if she is a child) Kumoko is going to have to get involved in whatever plot is organizing against the child's family. Be sure to read for yourself to see all the carnage as Kumoko tries out her new eye powers (I swear she is like a Beholder but deadlier) and to see her surprise visitor at the end of the volume. :)

Je me rapproche petit à petit des derniers tomes actuellement publiés pour la série ! Bientôt, elle fera partie de celles qui sont à jour, tant niveau lecture, qu’au niveau achat ! Ce tome marque un tournant dans la série, puisque notre protagoniste sera définitivement à la surface (ou du moins, de manière très importante cette fois). Il sonne aussi la fin de l’existence du premier être à avoir tenté de le tuer dans ce nouveau monde, qui n’était pas des moindres, puisqu’il s’agit de sa « mère ». Pour le reste, l’histoire prend une tournure assez intéressante et drôle.
Ce qui peut marquer le plus dans ce tome, c’est que notre protagoniste fini par réaliser un peu moins de monologue qu’auparavant. Entre le retour de certaines de ses personnalités, mais aussi l’arrivée des humains, il y a de quoi proposer d’autres types de conversations. Visiblement, il y a d’ailleurs aussi de nouvelles personnalités, mais comme elles ne sont pas décrites plus que ça pour l’instant, on ignore le nombre exact ou même leur utilité… Une seule d’entre elles n’est pas revenue, car elle a déjà une autre mission en cour, et pas un petit morceau ! Soyez étonnés, ou pas, mais en revenant, ses personnalités lui ont offert les stats volées de leur (sa ?) mère. Je crois qu’il y a même des compétences dans le lot, mais comme elle en a tellement, impossible de toutes les retenir. En tout cas, c’est un power up ultra rapide pour le coup, mais est-ce que ça sera suffisant ?
Le combat va durer environ un quart du tome, après quoi, notre protagoniste repart en vadrouille. Ce n’est pas vraiment compliqué de savoir l’issue du combat, puisque la série continue après celui-ci. Les événements qui vont suivre changeront la vision des gens au sujet de notre protagoniste. En effet, elle sait qu’elle doit encore monter en niveau, notamment pour éviter d’être tuée par la « reine » des araignées. Mais comme elle est sortie du donjon, il n’y a plus vraiment de monstre à affronter. Par chance, les humains rapportent plus d’expériences, mais est-ce bien raisonnable de se mettre à décimer des populations ? Et voilà qu’elle tombe sur une mystérieuse carriole, se faisant attaquer par des bandits… des bandits ? Mais oui ! Voilà de l’expérience gratuite qui ne pourra pas lui nuire !

Another great volume!
So close to catching up with the anime! I'm enjoying the manga adaption a lot. Wish they took a little more time in the hero spider antics. Very abrupt so far compared to the anime.

Another good volume in this isekai series. I love the single panel gags of Kumoku the Spider in weird costumes. The humans are a big part of this story, and it ends on a great cliffhanger.
