Laurie was widowed when her husband Bruce died of a heart attack unexpectedly. With a mountain of debt to pay off, Laurie has had a lot on her mind for a long time – and none of it is about realizing her own dreams. Finally, with Dean – her lawyer friend – to help, she manages to settle it and she is ready to embark on a new part of her life. Maybe she can finally open the spa resort she always wanted.

Her three adult children are very reluctant at first, but they slowly come around to her way of thinking.
Laurie, with the help of her best friend, manages to purchase the resort she has had her eye on – a beautiful seaside spa-resort on Gasparilla Island. She has a lot of work ahead – the resort is run-down and a lot needs to be repaired – but life has another surprise for her.

One of the guests – William – is rather stunning, and he seems to like her. With William at her side, Laurie embarks on a new adventure, along with her three adult children, who are having adventures of their own. Amidst plenty of laughter and tears, the four of them bond and, when Donna finds a mysterious secret in one of the rooms at the resort, all of them are swept up in solving it and the answer leads them to what they are already learning – what matters most in life.

Dive into the tropical paradise of South Florida and follow Laurie as she gets a chance to fulfill her dreams. Enjoy the unforgettable adventure together with all the characters of the Abrams family and friends who capture your heart and feel like old friends.

I just can't figure out this mystery! What is going on with the security light keep coming on & going off. Is it something to do with Laurie dead husband? Did someone kill her husband by causing him to have a heart attack to use him to cover up funds & cause the FBI to be on Laurie & Rebecca's trail thinking they may be involved? Could the security light going on & off have something to do with the letters that Donna found in the room she was staying in the first time she was at the Spa? Then there is the sudden fast love interest of Laurie's. He came on pretty fast & pretty strong. Who is he & what does he want? Is he after something or does he just want to know what she know especially after pushing her for so hard for answers. He said he couldn't move forward if he didn't know what was bothering her. Does that sound like love or does that sound suspicious? Where is all of this heading?

I was given this ARC for free & I am sorry my review is late but I thought I had already posted it. I do apologies. It is my honest opinion to the best of my knowledge. I wish we could post reviews as soon as we finish book so we don't forget.

Laurie is settling in at the Beach Spa and has her first group of visitors staying, including her best friend Donna, who is a fun person to be around! Still discovering problems, the handyman is called out to fix a busted water pipe, and later to fix the security lights, which keep going on and off. Laurie has a lot on her plate, but she keeps thinking she sees someone resembling her late husband. Donna convinces Laurie to go on a few dates with William Bell, but she’s not sure she’s ready for more yet. I’m dying to find our what the deal is with her husband’s supposed death, and the withdrawals from his secret account, after his death! This is an enjoyable series of short stories or novellas. I am lucky to be on the author’s ARC team, so I get a free advance copy, and am delighted to write this review voluntarily! Happy reading!

Laurie is living her dream running a spa on the beach. Her husband, Bruce’s secretary has arrived at the spa and she’s sacred since the FBI had questioned her about Bruce being alive. Now Laurie is wondering is her husband really dead and if he is who is taking money from his off shore bank account that Laurie had no idea he had? Her best friend Donna comes for vacation and puts Laurie’s mind at ease. While she was in her room, she finds letters under a loose floor board. Who do they belong to? And why is the security light going on in the middle of the night? William, a guest asks Laurie for a date and they both have a great time. William really likes Laurie, but he knows she’s keeping something from him which she refuses to reveal so he leaves?!? I received a free ARC copy for my honest and voluntary review.

The spa is a Reality and no longer a dream. Although Laurie appears to be successfully running her dream spa small and large problems keep cropping up to cause her worry. Most of which she is only comfortable in sharing with her best childhood friend, Donna. Larger are the questions surrounding her husband’s death, or not, and of his financial misdeeds being asked by the FBI. Smaller are the various breakdowns of Spa maintenance and family concerns. But most recent is her being attracted to and pursued by an early male guest of the spa. There are plenty of twists and turns to keep the pages turning, too bad there are so few of them. I received a free ARC copy for an honest review.

Laurie is really settling into being the owner of her spa. She's better at it than she thought she'd be. She's growing more confident all the time. She's happy to have her best friend Donna staying with her. Laurie even had her first date since her husband died.

I feel as if each chapter gives us more questions. I'm really interested in the mystery behind her husband's death and I definitely wonder what's going on with the guy she's dating now. Seems like something is fishy to me :)

What I enjoy about this series is that you can get a taste for it in small doses. It's great if you just want a quick read. Each book in the series leaves you with a cliffhanger and wanting more.

I borrowed this through Kindle Unlimited and it's giving me a great chance to catch up.

Book 3 in the Beach Spa series was great. I feel bad for Laurie. She is trying to get her life together after Bruce died (or did he). William cares for her, but wants her to tell him everything, no secrets. Laurie can't even wrap her head around everything let alone explain it to William. The ending to this book really leaves me questioning about Bruce. Jessie Kelley, this series us so great. It keeps you wanting more.🙂❤
