Roman: Rosewood Grove Fire Department Book 1 A Curvy Younger Woman and Alpha Firefighter Insta-love Romance
Maria Hosting the Rosewood Grove book club was my only bit of solace left for me after T.J. left me. The ladies kept me company, and the books took my mind off things. Wine was a regular beverage at the club, but Marnie had too much for her to handle. I didn’t expect for her to put a pizza in the oven, and then pass out in the spare bedroom. Before I knew it, my kitchen was on fire. My whole house would have burned down, if it wasn’t for the Rosewood Grove Fire Department. With a destroyed kitchen, and no way to pay for the damages, I felt hopeless. I never would have guessed the hot firefighter who saved my house would be the answer to all of my problems.
Roman As soon as I saw Maria in that smokey kitchen, I knew I had to have her. Even in her state of distress, she was beautiful, and exactly what I was looking for in a woman. Once I found out insurance wouldn’t cover the cost of repairs, I knew I needed to do something. Maria was too prideful to take charity, but I found a way to put her photography skills to use. I rallied the men, and we put together the first Rosewood Grove Firefighter calendar with Maria. I just hoped we would sell enough to pay for her kitchen repairs, and Maria’s mind would be put to ease. Then, maybe she would feel comfortable enough to accept my offer, and explore what life had in store for us. Short story telling a sweet & steamy insta-love romance with a curvy younger woman and an older alpha firefighter hero. Happily ever after! No cliffhangers! No cheating!

First things first; I like the cover of this book! Roman is the first book in the ‘’Rosewood grove fire department’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. Roman is the first book of Sara Jones’s that I have read. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Maria’s kitchen is a light, it is fire fighter Roman to the rescue. Roman fancies Maria but will she give love a second chance after being burnt by it once before. The chemistry between Roman and Maria is clear to see and I liked them together. I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is a nice read. I look forward to more books from this series.
When a simple book club meeting, causes the fire department to be call, Maria is at her wits end. Maria's life has seems to be on a downward spiral and the lost of her kitchen is the cherry on top. Roman works at the fire department as well owns his own construction company. After Maria's call, he could not get her out of his head and wanted to help, but Maria was putting up walls.
Roman is the first book in a new series. Roman is kind and big hearted, as he wanted to help Maria, he still gave her the space and allowing her to make choice, while treating her they way she needed. Maria's past make her hesitant to accept help from other, or take the next step with Roman.

I have to say I grabbed this story due to the name of the man. Something about the name Roman just grabbed my attention. What happens when your friend needs to call the fire department for a kitchen fire. Well, you get a hot as every sexy fireman to come to the rescue. Then you are attracted to him, along with him to you. There are hurdles along the way before they can even have a first date. With all that going on what will happen between these two. Have at it getting this book to read.

Maria’s kitchen is on fire after one member of her book club got drunk and leave the pizza too much time in the oven. Roman is a firefighter who saves Maria’s house from being completely destroyed by fire. I found the book a bit repetitive, for example, Maria’s indecision, her reluctance to be helped, etc; they are all over the book. Short and sweet read. A good book one in the Rosewood Grove Fire Department series! It is passionate, emotionally deep, engaging, relatable, funny, and well written with endearing characters and instant chemistry. Definitely recommended!

What a great book. Roman sounds like a great guy. Maria was at the point in her life that she deserved to find love. One of her friends from her book club drank a little too much causing the pizza she made catch on fire. Roman saved her in more ways than putting out the fire. It's a great book. :)
The storyline had potential and is enjoyable but I would have liked to see their relationship developed without the sense of gratitude that Maria felt towards Roman. It was an okay read.
The story was cute and had potential but it being advertised as a steamy alpha romance, NO. It felt somewhat rushed, awkward, and kind of cheesy. Honestly the hottest thing about the book is the cover.
She has been going downhill on an emotional roller coaster and the fire was the last straw. The fireman who helps her has lots of ideas to help and the real journey begins. Sweet and happy!
Se sintió como un episodio de La Rosa de Guadalupe. Todo pasa rapidísimo, los diálogos se sienten super artificiales, y explican más que muestran lo que pasa.
