Dani you had me a tad bit emotional in this read. I loved how you had Danita, Riley and Carlos be co-workers that really cared for one another. Riley was in a dead end affair for a couple of years but because she thot she loved Jamie she wanted the relationship to work out. Jamir was a selfish, lazy bum, he only cared about himself and never how Riley felt about their so called relationship. Riley was sent to do a job and she did the job exceptionally well she ended up getting the best surprise in her life. Jay was a great producer and had all the things a woman could want. All he wanted was his woman to treat, respect and be loyal to him as he was to her. His girl Tessa was only there for the material things she got from Jay. He began to see things he called her out and she tried to do right but she was a fake so her true colors had to come out. Jay realized it wasn't going anywhere so he cut her off and never looked back. Omar and Danita were suited for one another. Omar, had a situation come up and Danita almost lost her man by being selfish, her good friends talked her off the ledge and she woke up before she missed out on her blessing. Such a refreshing read. I enjoyed the stupid characters like Tessa and Jamir, I really loved how Omar taught Danita patience and how to love him back. I really would love to see Carlos have a small book. So glad Tessa and Jamir treated Jay and Riley like trash so Jay and Riley could receive the lover, respect and loyalty they both deserved. Great Read. Dani
Aww man I really feel like this book ended to quickly. I was hoping to see a wedding, babies, and everything else. I really really loved Jay and Riley. Those two charities I really enjoyed more than anybody else in this book. Its like they both had to Indore then same issues with trying to force a relationship with someone who isn't trying to meet the same dreams and desires as you. I like Omar and Danita two and I really loved the relationship between Danita and Riley. Danita gave off that over protected big sister vibe. But still it didn't take the cake like Jay & Riley.
This was really good! I was so happy for Riley flourishing in her career and letting go of the dead weight, that being Jamir. He was a bum and I couldn’t understand how she held on to that one sided relationship as long as she did. Jay was who she needed and deserved. They both were in relationships that weren’t going anywhere and they so deserve their happily ever after. Danita was ready to throw in the towel when baby girl entered the equation, I’m glad she stuck it out. This was really good and I think I’ve only read this author collabs on Rocks Boys and Thug Holiday I’ll definitely be looking for her solo work. Awesome job ‼️👏🏾
I really enjoyed this story and characters in it Jamir was really a lame want to be because he cared nothing about his self only blaming others and I liked how Riley was a go-getter at her young age and had her life together and knew what she wanted in our life but trying to help others especially him at the same time I love her two best friends and glad both of them got their happy endings all. Although they struggled a bit. Jay was the man he knew exactly how to treat a woman and Tessa was just a brat that didn't want anything that wasn't expensive all in all it kept you laughing and interested through and through
Wow I’m so happy for Riley. She finally realizes she was in a dead situation and ended it not realizing she found her Prince Charming thanks to her job. I don’t see how she lasted that long with Jamir because he was definitely a bum. But Babi she ungraded the right way by giving Jay a chance and now receiving everything she deserved in a relationship. I’m also happy for Danita but I would have been pissed off if she would have gave up on her relationship with Omar so easily. Luckily things worked out for her and him and now they are happy and in love. Great love story with a happy ending.
Lord Jay came through and made it be known what he wanted! At first I was scared he would stick with entitles Tessa but he definitely made his move and didn’t let up!Jamie did not deserve Riley and I’m glad she realized her worth and stuck to it! I’m also happy Danita stuck by Omar for a second I thought she would be done! Definitely happy with the ending but I’d be happy to see a part 2 lol
Wow thatwas good Jamie really tried it he should've thought twice how he was treating Riley then maybe she still would've been with him but he was too selfish to see that and waited too late after his friend warned him sorry Jay got that now and they living the life thats just what she need that's good thing danita listen to Riley cause the outcome was worth waiting for..loved it
This was a good read. Riley should have been left Jamir. But sometimes love keeps us in familiar situations and thinking we can change a person that has no intention on changing. That was Riley and Jay's dilemma. Jamir didn't want nothing out of life and all Tessa wanted was celebrity status. Good thing Jay and Riley found what they needed in each other. I like Danita and Omar and I'm glad Riley and Carlos talked some sense into her before she lost her man.💟💟
Riley and Danita were two peas in a pod. They did everything together and now they gon spend the rest of their lives together being happy. They gotta thank Omar and Jay for that. Jamir is a mama's boy and had a lot of growing up to do. Tessa had a good man and didn't know how to keep him. She was very selfish. Jay and Omar saw what they wanted and went after it. The vest decision they could've made
This was a fabulous read! (Typos and a bit much fluff of not needed details) We get a story of besties/sisters as they find love, job encouragement and moving on past they own way of people and idea that are keeping them from something great. We also get a refreshing sip of Real Men in Jay and O. They truly had southern dating swag and it was great to read about. This was my first by the author and I will be looking forward to reading more from her.
This standalone was a good read. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters. Riley, was a good woman with so much ambition and potential. I couldn't understand how she stayed so long with deadbeat Jamir. Along comes Jason and turns her world upside down in no time. I really liked them together and their chemistry. Also, I liked Omar and Danita. The four of them found true love and happiness. Good job Dani Littlepage.
Riley was a good woman. It’s a shame Jamir didn’t realize it. He had no ambition or potential to be the man Riley deserved. She eventually got fed up and moved on. It was about time. Jason was the guy for Riley. They complimented each other. She also showed him how he’s supposed to be treated. He showed her her worth. I also liked Danita and Omar’s relationship.
Okkkkk Atl!!! Even tho Jamir wasn’t cheating he was still a fboy!! I didn’t like Tessa but I’m glad she took he L like a woman even tho she TRIED to be petty! Omar was definitely a stand up guy and I’m glad him and Nita got pass that little bump.. overall great read
I loved me some Jason and Riley they were both successful in dead in relationships that had them miserable. The two meet and sparks fly the two try to fight their feelings but it's not working. In the end Riley was made for Jason. Danita and Omar are head over heels in love tragedy strikes and Danita almost messed up with Omar. Absolutely loved this book job well done. 💜🔥💜🔥💜🔥
All this time I really thought Jamir was cheating on Riley You couldn’t spend time with her but you had all the time for your friends Jay bossed up and was like let me show you how a real ni**a suppose to treat you You go Jay Glad Nita got out her own way and realized that she wanted to be with Omar Will there be updates
This was a great read. I don't see how Riley lasted that long with her little boyfriend because the fact that he stayed with his mama, didn't have a car and wouldn't spend time meant he didn't deserve her time. I'm not about to beg no nigga to spend time with me. But I'm glad she met Jay and bossed all the way up
I really enjoyed reading this book and I’m so glad that everything worked out for these ladies. I didn’t feel sorry for Tessa or Jamir. They both had significant others who treated them very well and took advantage of the situations and I am glad that they got what they deserved.
Jamir was definitely not for Riley...he was too selfish when it came to her...Jason absolutely wasn't what Tessa wanted she just wanted the fame and his money...I'm glad they met each other because they were made for each other...I'm glad Danita came around after the pep talk she received from Carlos and Riley....good read
This book was entertaining from start to finish. The saying you don’t miss your water until the well runs dry is true. Once Riley left Jamir her life changed for good. She got her happily ever after with Jay from the A. Danita got her happily ever after too once she truly seen where Omar was coming from and she stepped in to help raise Octavia
Good read! I hate that Jahmir couldn’t get his act together for Riley but it just made room for Jay to come right in after getting rid of what’s her face lol and showing her how it’s supposed to be done! Good Read 😊
Summer vibes permeated throughout the book. Riley and Danita had the perfect bestie relationship. Omar and Jay were certainly a few good men. It was ironic how they were a breath of fresh air to each other respectively! Good read!
This storyline was so realistic because i think every female at some point has been Riley and Danita. Jay and Omar were definitely bae and I'm glad that both couples were able to overcome the obstacles they faced
I enjoyed reading this book! I’m glad the author didn’t drag it out like most books! It was straight to the point! I would have liked to see what happened a year after the engagement and what happened to the exes..
I am so happy for Riley and Danita. They both got engaged to two awesome men! Jamir was definitely dead weight. She gave him way too many chances. I just love happy endings. Hope to read about them in the future. Great Read.
This book was recommended to me and my first book by the this author. I enjoyed reading it, it’s the first book I have actually finished in almost a year maybe. It grabbed my attention immediately, and of course I loved the ending.
I really didn’t feel the chemistry like that. I guess because Riley was so dumb and loyal to Jamir for at least the first half of the book that it just seemed force with Jason. Also, Danita was selfish in her decision making with Omar.
