After a miscalculation during the escape from Fiendfyre, Hermione and Draco find themselves transported to the past. Together, they must figure out what they were fated to accomplish before they can return home.
As Hermione learns what must be done, she is reminded that nothing in life is ever free. She just isn't sure she can afford the Dark Lord's price.
Not in the original books, not in this fanfic. Not Ron. Not Draco. Most definitely not Tom fucking Riddle.
The hell with all these fucking boys. Every single one of them.
My poor Hermione—always underestimated, always stretched thin, always the only one putting others before herself, even when they fucking hurt her. Always the one suffering. Always the one carrying the weight of everyone else’s shit while getting nothing but pain in return.
She’s smart. She’s strong. She’s loyal as hell. And all she gets is betrayal, manipulation, and being taken for granted.
Please—someone give her the happiness she’s fucking earned.
Because I hated every goddamn man in this story. Every. Fucking. One.
I don’t even know how I would rate this book. It gets four stars as it’s a fanfic that someone put their time and care into creating for the whole sum of absolutely nothing. It was well paced with an interesting premise. However, the level of dissociation this book took to read is next level; I feel like I’ll wake up crying in the middle of the night weeks from now once everything gets internalized. I have read many a dark fic before, but I think what has me so unsure of my sentiments for this one is how the dark, malicious, or, quite frankly, disgusting acts are framed. I’m sure I could give a more poignant and detailed work if I sat down to think about it, but I truly do not have any desire to do so.
RANT AHEAD (NOT DIRECTLY RELATED TO MY REVIEW) A sub note not specific to any book, but something that often plagues my thoughts as an avid reader (I was going to post this as a separate update, but those have 400 character limits so… here we are): I find it very disconcerting how normalized violence against women and sexual violence has become in literature (both published/paid work as well as fics, especially in the fantasy genre, and even broader in media as a whole). As it is the reality of the female condition, I am not discouraging it as a subject matter in a general sense. It is when it is consistently used to support, create, or strengthen romantic plot lines that I struggle with its use and depiction. I find it deeply saddening that no one has yet to write into existence a fictional world that is not built on the oppression and abuse of women. How telling is it that even when people are creating entirely new universes, magical concepts, systems and laws, religions, etc, they are still informed by the ingrained and internalized patriarchal view of societal functions and gender perceptions.
WOW obsessed with this fic - it is DARK with some “Tomione”. Yes, Tom Riddle and yes, i realize that makes me sound super unhinged. It’s dramione end-game though. the story is super interesting, while trying to escape the fiendfyre during book 7, draco and hermione accidentally get transported back to 1944, which is coincidentally when tom riddle is a seventh year. shit hits the FAN and it’s a wild ride. this is part 1 of a 3 part series.
Top things I hate in fics or any story for that matter:
1. Characters acting OOC 2. Dark Hermione tags (this is an immediate OOC warning for me, which I hate). 3. Seeing F*ck in the first few sentences ("No signs of intelligent life forms here", if this is used). 4. F*ck being used by Hermione (another indication of OOC Hermione).
This fic was guilty of all of these above points, so this was an automatic dnf for me. This was very disappointing since the fan made cover is what drew me to this fic in the first place. I love good fanart.
This is me being petty, but I am not a fan of writer's giving the non main pairing more chemistry than the main pairing (Tom/Hermione being non main and Draco/Hermione being the main). It makes no sense! WHY TEASE US LIKE THIS IF THEY ARE NOT ENDING UP TOGETHER!
Why the tag ‘Bad BDSM Etiquette’ and why not straight Rape/Non-Con and Dub-Con. The author does not seem to understand what BDSM is, its 100% willing consent not consent granted because of blackmail. This is Rape and dubious consent.
Also this is some way of writing the brightest-witch-of-her-age into the dummest-bitch-of-last-50-years
I WAS TOLD TO READ THIS BC IT WAS DARK ROMANCE DRAMIONE. AND SINCE I LOVE DARK ROMANCE AND I LOVE DRAMIONE I WAS LIKE YUH SIGN ME TF UP ! i didnt expect to love the fic this much tho😭 like omfg??
my thoughts on: • DRACO: he was such a sweetheart in this. like im literally falling in love with him all over again. he was so caring, kind, ROMANTIC, protective.. UGH HES SO BF. my heart aches for him tho • HERMIONE: bitch she pissed me off sometimes😭 LIKE SOMETIMES HER CHOICES WERE SO DUMB ISTG, but like poor girl she went through sm • TOM: GIRL WTF IS WRONG WITH HIM?:!:?:€ IK ITS TOM MF RIDDLE BUT LIKE WHAT THE FUCK WAS THIS??/!./&&:@/@ he was so hot sometimes but like the things he did were so FUCKED UP. i love a good dark romance, which this was thanks to him, but since i came here for dramione i really couldnt stand his behaviour. LIKE BITCH BACK TF OFF
anyways, i loved every second of this fic and im omw to read the second book 🔥🔥
This needs a dub-con warning. I absolutely detest Tom Riddle here. He is vile and evil and I just wish him dead the entire time because he is just ughhhhh. Like you hate him more than Umbridge.
When I am reading a Tom Riddle-centric fanfiction, and dramione ends up being a main focus, I start to not like it. I can like Dramione, in instances like Auction, but Tom, in my opinion, is her better half. I also find him to be using Occulemency so early on to be a bit unrealistic as why would he want to tip off that he is bad?
I also feel like not much has happened despite being almost half way through. All that happens is a progress for Dramione, not plot wise.
i forgot to add this to the books I've read and 700 pages of fanfic is too long not to count it as a book lol. this one was darkkkkkk. but its tom riddle so like are we surprised?? you know what you're getting yourself into if you choose to read a fic about tom. its darker than i usually read but it was alright, just make sure to read the tags and warnings lol. tomione and dramione with more of a tom emphasis. he's evil. but also hot. the time travel concept was played very nicely up until the battle of Hogwarts but everything happened so damn quick. time travel always messes with my brain lol like he's been waiting for her for SO MNAY YEARS.
only downside is that this series isn't completed. i started the second one and was very invested, just to find out the third part of the fic was abandoned halfway so i gave up on it. but pls read this if ur interested in tomione, its SO good.
First off, don’t believe a single thing in the authors note before the books starts. NOT A SINGLE THING.
Second - She is vastly confused on her trigger warnings. BDSM was no where to be found, it was straight up non-con with Riddle.
Third - this might have been my least favorite Hermoine in the fanfics I’ve read. Her decisions and reasonings were HORRIBLE.
Fourth - I’m still giving it 3.5 stars because Tom was meant to be evil and diabolical, and he was. Before he was Voldemort, he was still truly evil. Him and Hermoine having a spark is best explored in other fanfics I think. The only thing it accomplished was breaking my heart for Draco. And the cliff hanger? Just found out there’s another book, but this story is a WIP, not happy about it

Well, this story is definitely something. I loved and enjoyed the love triangle between Draco/Tom/Hermione. I hated and loved Riddle at the same time, and also the dynamics and the sexual tension between him and Hermione. SHEESH. It has been ages since I read a really good and amazing Tomione story, so I was really happy when I found this story on TikTok. The smut scenes are also hot AF. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Very awesome, I'll definitely come back to this story.
This is a fun fanfic! I was hooked from the beginning however I didn’t realize it was only one of three fics. The cliffhanger is crazy and I’m curious as to what happens next buuuuuut as much I enjoy the taboo of Tomione, I’m more into Dramione. LoL so I’m just going to pretend this was a single standalone fanfic that ended differently in my head. Dumbledore once said, “Of course it is happening inside your head, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?”
I know theres a part 2 but I don’t think I can handle it if Draco doesn’t win her love. But then I also want her to change Tom. I’m conflicted here lmao props for that cuz it’s definitely not a predictable plot
Time timer. Draco & Hermione back to meet Tom Riddle. This was really dark, peppered with TW. I really enjoyed it, I did find some of it hard to swallow I wanted more depth from Tom, and really wanted his POV.
Jolly jeez! Well someone finally made me dislike Riddle more than Umbridge. Great story idea but it's rough and it's a 2 parter so be prepared to keep reading
I could not put this down. I was so torn between Tom and Draco and the crazy dark dynamic of it all. It was gritty and wild. I am now diving into part two. Adored 💚🐍🖤
Oh damn. Oh fucking hell. What a glorious ride. I was so mad at Hermione for not telling the truth but I get it. So toxic. So great. Looking forward to the next book.
Mid exam season and yet still enough time to devour this one. One of my favourite fics I think, but I don’t like how Draco was a bit of a cuck in this one.
Jaw DROPPED. I honestly didn’t know who would be end game but holy shitttt. I feel like this could be a 5/5 but I haven’t gathered all my thoughts. Just wowww
