"The people who often times do terrible things, are the same ones who have had terrible things done to them."
After Lord Voldemort murdered Harry Potter in the Battle of Hogwarts, the world became plagued with a darkness unlike anything it had seen before. Muggles were slaughtered in the streets, the Dark wizard's opponents were executed for show, and all those who had fought with the Order were forced into hiding.
Avalon Hendrix had lost everything- her friends, her peers, her loved ones. Everything. So, when she was thrown back in time to 1943, she knew that it was up to her to change the course of time and rewrite a new history- one in which she must find the Horcruxes and murder Tom Riddle before he could ever become Voldemort.
Tom Riddle.
Avalon Hendrix.
Either she was going to kill him, or he was going to kill everyone she loved. They were nothing more than two products of extreme circumstance that chose two very different paths, yet had time for their roads to converge.
Masterpiece. The best Fanfiction I have ever read. It is so underrated too! My Love for it endless and I would recommend it to everyone that is even slightly interested in Harry Potter.
Ok so, I’d like to give this book a rating of 8,1/10
SPOILER THIS IS WHY what I loved about it 1. It was very symbolic 2. I loved the ending it was very comforting 3. The book had very lovable character 4. I hate when books have SA scenes, because I always felt like they were unnecessary, but this book was not like that at all 5. I love how the book depicted blood purity, I have yet to see books like actually SHOW how bad blood purity was during the 1940s, it was fresh and new 6. OMG THE ALIXER SCENE OMG MY FAV LOVE THAT 7. I LOVEE THE FACT THAT LESTRAGE WAS LIKE USING TOMS NOTEBOOK TO LIKE MAKE A ANOTHER TOM, I THOUGHT THAT WAS REALLY FRESH, AND I HAVEN’T REALLY SEEN OTHER BOOKS DO THAT, like that’s smart
What I wasn’t so fond of 1. Although there were many funny jokes within the book, some of it were KINDA cringe, but given that it was written in 2020, it kinda made sense 2. The book was kinda obsessed with with alcohol, which is some cases yeah, it’s funny, but it kinda felt cringe in some parts 3. I feel like Tom fell in love with her WAYYY too quickly for my liking, but I do love the fact that because he fell in love quickly we were able to see a lot of romance scenes between her and Tom

Just Chefs Kiss. I am very picky with fanfictions but daffydarling just made everything perfect. The Plot was soo good, character development was AWESOME and just everything together, the dynamic between everyone and how the story ended was immaculate. Probably my new Roman Empire
I have since learned that most fic writers don’t like their works posted on Goodreads. I am leaving my current review up and adding this note, because how else are people meant to know?
