The complete Close Quarters series from Jason Collins.
Suddenly Daddy:
Justin: Falling for my nanny is the last thing I need. I never expected to be a father—until I inherited Grace. Now I’m in over my head. I want to be the adoptive dad she needs, but my busy career and the scars from my past are getting in the way. That’s why I hired Presley.
A nanny was supposed to simplify things, but Presley is complicated. He’s a natural with Grace, and he’s more than just gorgeous—he’s the first man I’ve ever wanted. I think I’m falling for him, but a secret from his past could threaten our future together. Even so, he may be the one temptation I can’t resist. Presley has simultaneously made things easier and harder.
Suddenly Royal:
Lex: I’ve started my new life as a royal liar. I’m a prince waiting tables, and I love my secret life because it doesn’t include royal bank accounts. But I’m not just doing this to escape from palace life; ever since Graham interviewed me, I’ve wanted to be by his side. Even though I’ve never been with a man, I know he’s the one I want.
But I knew my dream life couldn’t last forever—I just didn’t think my old life would catch up to me so soon. I fled the royal family to find happiness, and while Graham is everything I want, he’s everything I can’t have. Princes aren’t supposed to fall in love with their coworkers. If the royal family finds me, they’ll do everything in their power to keep us apart. I might have to choose—my new life or my crown.
Suddenly Stranger:
Henley: I’ve been straight all my life, until I meet the man who says we’ve dated. When I meet Noah, the chemistry’s off the charts. But I never expect him to tell me we’ve already met, and worse, he thinks we’re exes. I lost six months of memories in an accident, and I thought I had it all accounted for.
But the more I fall for him, the less I want to uncover the past. I wouldn’t forget a man like him, or the way he makes me feel. If I find out what broke us up the first time, we might ruin our second chance at this. I’ve got two options: risk losing Noah, or live a lie. I just want to be with him, but I have to know the truth.
SUDDENLY DADDY The way Justin and Presley meet felt like fates colliding. How else would you describe a man that quotes Melville at you in line at the coffee shop? Presley finding him again a half-hour later as his potential employer just kind of reinforced the idea of fate. Poor Justin has no idea what to do when it comes to his two-year-old charge. His life hasn’t shown him how to be a loving father figure. Presley gives Justin the guidance and encouragement to connect with little Grace. Presley has his own trauma and it keeps getting in the way of building something with Justin. Justin’s fear of losing Grace has him making some stupendously stupid decisions. Both men need to face their past to get to their HEA but when they do it’s something beautiful.
SUDDENLY ROYAL Oh. My. God! I LOVED this book so hard!!! This has a feel of Cinderfella for those of us who love fairytales. Graham is a man completely wrapped up in his job to the detriment of his love life. When he hires Lex he gains balance and a man worth giving everything up for. Lex has been running from his life and found someone worth staying for. Graham and Lex reconnecting at Lex’s family home was swoon-worthy. Graham and Lex fight for their relationship in a way that made me cheer, standing up to anyone who stands in their way. The ending is worth rereading at least twice.
SUDDENLY STRANGER Talk about getting smacked in the chest with the emotions! Noah has been the snarky voice of doom in the previous books in the series. He’s been to the peak of perfection in his relationship with Henley only to have it all fall apart. After five years apart his heart still hasn’t healed. I didn’t blame him for his wishy-washy behavior or wanting to relive what the two of them had. Henley has some major damage from his childhood. I was so glad to see him reach out for professional help. He impressed me by standing up to his uncle when he stepped over the line. When Noah and Henley arrive back at the point that destroyed them the first time, I was hoping so hard for a different outcome than their previous one. It takes time and help for Henley to understand himself and gain a new perspective. The ending is wonderful.
Suddenly Daddy Presley does not want any media attention. Falling for his famous boss, Justin, was not on his mind. Justin wants what is best for his niece and cannot keep his eyes off her new nanny. Justin and Presley have to wade through custody issues, jealous women, and their own insecurities.
Suddenly Royal Lex does not want the life being forced on him. Graham has on love, his restaurant. Meeting and taking in love with Lex changes his priorities. He knows Lex is hiding something but trusts he will tell him when he's ready.
Suddenly Stranger Henley never wanted children. Noah loves his career but also sees himself as a father. Their breakup was painful but necessary, until they met again. An interesting, second chance story. Henley is not selfish, but we discover with him the reasons why he never saw himself as a father. Noah wants to hold onto their love despite the conflict.
Close Quarters is a great bundle and easy to read all three related titles, which is why I love bundles of series. Individually Suddenly Daddy, Suddenly Royal, and Suddenly Stranger are great books that deliver the romance and HEA I associate with Jason Collins books and it's awesome to read them altogether! Great addition to any digital library whether Jason Collins is a new author to you or not so new. ***I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this set ***
This is a wonderful bundle of three amazing stories all in one place. Very binge worthy! With wonderful characters, a bit of drama, romance, and happy endings you don't want to miss this. It's everything you'd expect from this author and more. Definitely recommend.
