Choices: Standing in the Gap or Standing in God's Way?

Rate this book
a break or opening/intercedingYou stood in the gap. Interceded on behalf of someone or something. However, what you prayed was what you thought was needed. Perhaps, it took a moment, but you later learned, sadly, with all your good intentions and spiritual insights, you might have stood in God’s way. For example, someone you knew and loved constantly chose the wrong path. You bailed them out, gave them a place to lay their head and your blood pressure soared. You prayed repeatedly. Nothing you did worked—until you finally threw up your hands, moved out of the situation and truly gave it to God to have His way.Yet, on the other hand. Some are anointed for gap standing. Moses “stood in the gap” and saved the people of Israel. In the Gap, he petitioned God on behalf of the Israelites. However, he was chosen to do that. Psalms 106:23Accept that there is a difference between choosing to pray God’s Will and making a choice to pray Yours. Why?God’s purpose for our lives will be impacted by our choices when we think we know more than Him. We don’t, and it’s foolish to believe that we do—If we come to a crossroad where a choice must be made, it is wise to create “that choice” at the foot of the Cross.ABOUT THE MERRY HEARTS INSPIRATIONAL SERIESSome use God's word to justify domestic violence, imprisonment, slavery, and systematic racism rather than preach peace, joy, salvation, and love. Throughout the Merry Hearts Inspirational series, readers will experience scripture as never before. Authors take one-dimensional Biblical characters and breathe new life into them to become relevant for the reader. Over time, many things have been misinterpreted, but the one important thing is that God’s grace isn’t just for men. Christ valued women so much. He had His most profound conversations with women. Christ performed astounding miracles through them, and following His resurrection, He appeared to the women first.Throughout scripture, God's love for women and everyone—no matter ethnic background or gender—may be found, from Genesis to Revelation. May you come to know His love in an authentic, tangible way. Each book in the Merry Hearts Inspirational Series is a standalone and can be read in any 1 – Journey – Lisa Dodson [Ruth and Boaz]Book 2 – Visions– J. L. Campbell [The Outside Child]Book 3 – Purpose – Florenza Denise Lee [The Unnamed Woman]Book 4 – Growth - Janice Allen [Esther, The Three Hebrew Boys]Book 5 – Transition -- Naleighna Kai [The Levite’s Concubine]Book 6 – Choices – Pat G’Orge-Walker [The Faithful Wife]Book 7 – Patience – Terri Ann Johnson [The Pharaoh’s Daughter]Book 8 – Persistence – U. We All Have Choices…and Consequences!

This book was awe inspiring! Another excellent book in this series! Anna had to decide her choice and in the end, she chose her daughters and herself! I loved the author’s story on her and Rob’s relationship!

“God’s purpose for our lives will be impacted by our choices when we think we know more than Him.” We all have choices and those choices will have consequences! We should choose wisely and keep God in the forefront!!

Thank You for such an inspiring book! Blessings, Pat! 💜

I loved the raw version of abuse between the husband and wife.Glad she finally got the nerve to leave ,. I would have loved to see how she flourished after being on her own.

I enjoyed reading this book. Painful, yet heart warming. Our choices have consequences. According to the scriptures, “joy comes in the morning.” So happy that after Pat’s pain, she found her Hallelujah. God is able to mend our broken pieces.
