Quick read and highly recommended. Confident and gentle authors who have worked in therapy for a long time. Case studies were not so useful and awkwardly placed. Excellent introduction placing this work in a contextual history of sex therapy and religious sexual memes. There is nothing shocking in this book, but a quiet subversion of the dominant sex imperative. Especially interesting for the attention paid to erectile dysfunction/performance anxiety and the role of sex in older people's lives.

mainly makes the point that focusing too much on intercourse can prevent people from fully enjoying everything else sex has to offer, especially since not everybody likes intercourse the most
