Wes looks for romance in the graveyard. He knows what he wants, but he’s struggling to find it. Dolly on the other hand doesn’t know what she wants, but manages to stumble upon it regardless. They are hopeless in love, a deviant and a sadist, they who will do anything to sate their desires, both ready to kill to purge their lust.
Imagine what the two of them might do when they collide.
Cadavers is an extreme horror novella, with scenes of grotesque intercourse, and brutal violence, necrophilia, and viscous barbarity.
Consider this a trigger warning for just about everything.
So women like Dolly don't come around often. She's the type of girl that's wholesome and you bring home to meet your momma. That is, if your momma likes psychotic, serial killer types. No judgment to anyone's mommy either, if they're cool with that sort of thing. So Wes and Dolly make quite a pair. They are no better or worse than one another, and observing how they operate each of their peculiar, unhealthy, and definitely unsanitary habits was fascinating. And when they finally come together, you feel like all is right in the world. This was an absolute hoot of a splatterpunk story, and I had a good time with it. Lots of sex, violence, naughty language, and the last two pages had me unsure of whether to gag or laugh. I wish that we had a lot more time with Wes and Dolly as they bonded, but what we did get here was still enough. Ash Ericmore is a sick mind, but I think will now be a part of Peter Topside's reading agenda.
4 stars. Wes likes a deviant kind of sex. He digs his partners up in graveyards...
Timing is what it all comes down to. Digging a grave is a long, hard process, taking about 4 or 5 hours...
You have to dig it and fill it in one night. No days or hours off in between. One night, and it must be done in darkness...
Wes liked to find women who had been down in the dirt for a couple of months...
It was a job Wes had perfected...
But his latest conquest had begun to stink, and worse, she was leaking all over his bed...
So Wes concluded...
To avoid all the laborious digging and possible disappointment, he will take a living woman and turn her into a fresh cadaver...
Meanwhile...
Dolly used the spike of her shoe to kill a man who tried to rape her and, to her surprise, found the concept of death erotic...
Wes and Dolly are on a collision course with each other as each are on the hunt for their next victim...
This was a surprisingly good read even if it was novella sized and could be read in one sitting. It was hilariously funny in parts as well as gruesome in others.
My only real complaint with the story was that it just ended abruptly.
There are warnings for some readers: graphic sex, buckets of blood and guts, and explicit necrophilia.
I swear I could read this author faster if I didn't have to stop to laugh throughout. What a fantastically dark sense of humor. Great story, shitty ending(😜)! Read it!
This was a nasty little tale that went in a direction I was not expecting! Two disturbed sexual deviants are on a collision course, what will happen when they collide? The back of the book warned that this was not a love story and I should have listened. 4/5 skulls 💀
So I’ve found that I enjoy books about necrophilia and women serial killers… This book is about two depraved individuals who both have separate fetishes. One enjoys necrophilia and one finds they enjoy murdering men by accident. Once the two meet by a chance encounter things gets wild.
I actually liked the shift of main characters halfway through the book. Two individuals who have a common interest cross paths and there is plenty of depravity here to keep you entertained!
Wes and Dolly both have their Cadaverous Kinks, this is their journeys of self discovery until they have a super meet cute and things all go wrong.
Fun little individual stories getting to know both Wes and Dolly.... I enjoyed their little meet cute section less and just wished it hadn't ended so abruptly.
This is everything you expect in an extreme horror gore, horror, sick twisted. Completely fucked up. Check your trigger warnings. Not a read for the faint hearted .
This was a good read, I enjoyed how two different people with unusual sexual desires, came across each other. Their uniqueness playing out in their own ways as macabre as they were, they had their own goals to fulfil. Really loved the funny little innuendos throughout the story, made it even more twisted. Definitely recommend
Wes finds himself staring headfirst into his biggest erotica fantasy night after night, and it involved a little hard work and a lot of controversial decisions. Digging up the graves of recently deceased woman to add to his collection, he waits patiently for their bodies to be in the perfect states between rigor mortis and deca before plucking then from their should be eternal resting places. This is how he discovered the executed body of a twenty five year old woman with a broken skull. Carrying her through the dead of night, be prepared his ritual of seducing the woman before having intercourse with the cadaver on his bed. Tricking himself to believe they loved him, he even stored the bodies in his frigid basement to enjoy them much longer.
Out of the wreckage on the other side of town appears Dolly, a supposedly timid and sexually muted girl who's about to unlock something in her self that had no business being opened. Assaulted by a date at the park lead to some unsavory events, leading to her murdering the man with her stiletto from the date. More shocking then even that was how her body violently reacted in arousal to the bloody violence, something no one else ever got inside of her before. Now with two kills under her belt, she has a chance encounter with Wes at the local supermarket and as the two plan for a date the following day, nobody could of been wiser they both had intentions to kill. Getting him sloppy drunk and weaving in and out of reality, Wes was pliable in her hands as she slipped the restraints over his wrists. Shocking within him was his ability to crave the living when his tastes turned much colder for years. Even as Dolly stabbed him through the chest, his pressing arousal was heavily between them,
Not sure what it is with my mental state and these splatterpunk books. Holy grossness. Wes loves his…women. Once they’re confirmed unalive. He enjoys digging up a new body in his free time and then consummating the relationship once he gets them home. Until Leanne that is. Poor ol Leanne leaked her brain juice all over the place. That rachet hoe. Then poor Wes meets Dolly. Or Dolly meets Wes while BOTH are on the hunt for their next victim. You see, Dolly here discovers she has an erotic fascination with murder, violence, and blood and it’s time she exercises that curiosity. Wes needs them dead; Dolly needs to kill them. In the end, it’s Dolly having the last laugh, murdering him and then wondering how long after death would his peen stay hard…

This was such an interesting read. It was also my first book by Ash Ericmore. The writing was very different than what I’m used to and it had me re-reading certain parts because it didn’t flow together very smoothly but the story itself was very good and held my interest throughout.
Wes and Dolly have very different hobbies that they partake in and when they cross paths it turns into total mayhem and destruction. This book had a little bit of everything tbh. Necrophilia, a serial killer, sex, gore and loads of blood! This can be read easily in one-sitting as it’s a short read and clocks in under 100 pages.
I’ll definitely be checking out more of Ash Ericmore’s work in the future!
Read this while getting some extra steps in around my living room.
Loved it.
Wes was neat. It's not terribly often I actually like the main character in these type of books but him. Yes. I was rooting for him in all his disgusting awfulness.
But then I met Dolly.
If I don't often like the main characters in these type of books I've never been delighted by them at all. And Dolly was delightful in an awful awful way.
The perfectly matched meet cute from hell that isn't actually a meet cute happens. That's what you get for hunting in a grocery store.
Will be reading more from this author.

the story is about a man who digs up dead women to have sex with who meets a woman who likes to have sex while killing the man. It was graphic but not the worst I’ve ever read. The story was predictable to some degree. In the end she kills the man while having sex. The ending suggests she’d like to continue having sex with his dead body and that she has become a necrophiliac as well.

Who said romance is dead. Wes and Dolly both know what they want from the opposite sex and it's definitely not hand holding and spooning. This was a great gruesome short read that had me wanting to hold my nose as I imagined so many deadly smells. Learnt something from reading this too. Guinness and Coffee don't go well together.
I'm no stranger to splatterpunk, so please don't take my review as genre-related. One star due to the writing itself. Choppy, unedited, and just all around not there on a literary level. No differentiation between the two main characters, and no clear voice. The idea was fun! Just could do with more practice, and both a grammar and developmental editor.
Wes and Dolly have some pretty unique requirements in searching for the perfect partner. If it involves shovels, freezers, hacksaws from a cheap supermarket and incontinence sheets, you’re on the right track.
The ‘Yurting’ super hero scene was THE funniest thing I’ve read in a long time 🤣
What a fantastic quick fast paced read, I enjoyed this! Dolly finds herself in a sticky situation, she is lusting for sex, but not the sex me and you think.
Quick fun read. Loved the structure and both the characters. Always enjoy his writing style and nasty sense of humour. Definitely recommend for any fans of his work and an enjoyable extreme horror for anyone new.
At a whopping 95 pages this is a quick fast paced read. It's grammar is a bit off/odd. Not sure if that part is intentional or just writing a quick story forgetting to proof read lol. Its good for a one time read...an interesting unique story. I dug it!
This book is pretty morbid and twisted. However, the writer seemed to bring in a few comical aspects. I found myself laughing through some of those moments. The book is okay, but reading it once was enough for me.
Bizarre, nasty and still oddly funny at times. I really enjoyed the chapters about Wes and Dolly as individuals, their meeting however less so. With all that build up I just expected a little more from the end. Still worth a read though.
Well this was a quick, dirty, fun little read! I loved the main characters…both so messed up! The end scene made me feel a tad queasy but that’s the point of this genre!
Really fucked up! I find I can't rate these kind of books because they are just so disgusting. But you know, 1 of them got what was coming to them in the end at least 🤷♀️
