Beyond Granite Falls #1

Loving Yasmine: Robert & Yasmine

Rate this book
The saga from the Billionaire Brides of Granite Falls continues in this steamy Beyond Granite Falls series starter by New York Times bestselling author, Ana E Ross.

A cynical divorce attorney. A believer in happily ever after. What could possibly go wrong?

Robert Carter survived an abusive upbringing from an alcoholic father to become a self-made millionaire and CEO of the most successful medical supply company in the country. Now, financially secured, he’s ready to settle down and raise a houseful of kids to prove to himself that he can be a better father than the one who raised him. But the one woman he desires to make his dreams come true has other ideas about love and marriage.

As a little girl, Yasmine Reynolds fantasized about raising a family with Robert, her best friend’s older brother. Now all grown up, and in-demand as one of Boston’s best divorce attorneys money can buy, Yasmine realizes that love and marriage isn’t the bed of roses she imagined it would be. She becomes even more cynical when a relationship she thought strong enough to weather any storm unravels before her eyes.

Is Robert’s unwavering love enough to convince Yasmine that Happily Ever After does exist? Or, will her persistent fears about marriage, and the secret she has been hiding from him, send this hunk of a man tumbling into the arms of another woman?

I'm a big fan of Ana E. Ross, and her latest novel, LOVING YASMINE, makes me love her more! Ross has spun off some minor characters from her Billionaire Brides series and given Robert (Michelle's brother) and Yasmine (Michelle's bestie) their own Happily Ever After. This first story in the new series has a slightly different feel than the Billionaire Brides and it works beautifully to help the reader transition. It's a little less intense, but even more character driven. In Robert, Ross has created the perfect man. Not that he doesn't have his own demons to overcome, and he does, but what's not to love about a guy who cooks, cleans, provides consistently mind-blowing intimate encounters, and gives his partner the freedom to grow and blossom like the beautiful flower she's named for? And you'll immediately connect with Yasmine, who has some issues in her past she must deal with before she can move forward and make a life with Robert. You don't need to have read any of the prior books to enjoy LOVING YASMINE, but you'll want to!

I am such a big fan of Ana Ross. I loved the was questions that I didn't even realized I had was answered about the relationship of Yasmine and Robert. She also went into the background of both of them and of course let us have the wonderful love story that is in her books. I can hardly wait for the next book to come out. If you like to do what I call escape to that magic place in your mind and forget your problems for a while, please pick up any of Ana E. Ross books, you definitely can forgot your problems for a little while.

I love Ana E. Ross books. The only thing I liked about this book is the hot & steamy scenes. The story line was boring. The story talked a lot about Michelle & Erik. Yasmine & Robert back hesitation for each other got on my nerves. I still love your books Ms. Ross but this one wasn't for me.

Some scenes felt a bit rushed and glossed over but for the most part this is an enjoyable read especially because main characters have a connection that's endearing and extends to significant others. In regards to Yasmine's secret, I was a bit let down as I thought it was going to be something "bigger" but I'm glad everything worked out in the end.

I'll continue reading the Beyond Granite Falls series, which is the spinoff of the Billionaire Brides of Granite Fall series to see what happens with other characters. Up next in the series, Desire's Chase: Chase & Desire. If you like reads with a slight age gap, a male totally into his woman, a woman harboring a secret, and an ex who wants back in, then this book might be right up your alley. Loving Yasmine: Robert & Yasmine gets 3.5 I've loved you all my life stars!

Love Wins After All

I have been waiting on Robert and Yasmine to have their own story since we were introduced to them in "The Doctor's Secret Bride" (Book One of the Billionaire Brides of Granite Falls Series). Their chemistry was evident even then. Yasmine has been in love with Robert, her best friend's older brother since she was a young girl. She has grown up to be a sassy independent young woman that lights a passion inside Robert like no other. Yet, Yasmine has issues with commitment. Due to her work as an a divorce attorney, she is constantly immersed in the tragic demise of marriage on a daily basis. She doesn't believe love is real. She is also afraid of being hurt by Robert because she had been devastated before. Even more than that, she has been harboring a secret that has the potential to destroy not only the relationship she has with Robert but the bond with her best friend. Robert has been battling issues with his identity ever since the truth about his father was revealed. The answers he is looking for are out there but is ready for what he will find. Robert must fight through his own internal struggles and trust Yasmine with his feelings. Yasmine needs to overcome her commitment issues and finally share her secret with Robert. This pair will have to climb over an extreme hurdle in order to find their forever love.

I eagerly anticipated the first book in the Beyond Granite Falls series, having read and enjoyed the Billionaire Brides of Granite Falls Series. With loving Yasmine, author Ana E Ross once again demonstrated her mastery of layered and complex characters, wrapped in sizzling, and sensual romance. Readers will connect with both Yasmine and Robert. Yasmine is a fiercely independent career girl, a successful attorney who’s terrified to death that marriage and commitment will put a dent in her ambitions and desire to remain independent. Robert Carter, a millionaire dentist is ready to get married and start a family but Yasmine will have none of it, as she has strung him along for five years, and turned down previous marriage proposals. Their journey to happily ever after is filled with tension, lots of questions, tears, laughter and family,

I enjoyed this first time reading a book by this author. The story of Yasmine and Robert was well developed and encouraged me to purchase the original series this spins from so I can read the back story. I must say though that I did find a few typos and errors that should have been caught in editing.

This is book one in The Beyond Granite Falls series and it is Yasmine and Robert's story and what a great start to a new series and definitely a must read. Yasmine is a divorce attorney and she doesn't believe in love, commitment, relationships or marriage after her own experiences and seeing the devastation that is caused when a marriage goes wrong so she will never put herself in that position but she also has a secret that if it is revealed it will completely destroy the people that are important to her. Robert has fought hard after having a abusive upbringing to become the CEO of a medical company making him a millionaire and now he would love to settle down with a wife and family only the woman that he is in love with has other ideas and didn't believe in love so now Robert will have to be patient and try to convince Yasmine that true love really does exist and to give Robert a chance and have the happy ending that they both deserve, so will she give them a chance of being together or will she keep her walls so high that she will miss out on something very special only time will tell what the outcome would be for them. I absolutely loved this book and the characters and storyline pulled you in and kept your attention throughout and the chemistry between Robert and Yasmine was so strong and intense that it sizzles off the pages and I couldn't put this book down as it was so addictive and I can't wait to read more book's in the future.

I’m a huge fan of Ana Ross’ work, so I can’t believe I’m just getting around to reading “Loving Yasmine”. I have no doubt that it has nothing to do with the author or the story, but more to do with me purchasing it through Ibooks instead of Kindle. I truly enjoyed reading Robert and Yasmine’s story. I always love it when authors include characters from previous books in their stories. It was great seeing what Erik, Michelle, and the little ones were up to. I wish all the brides and grooms of Granite Falls had popped in to let us know what they were up too, lol. Hopefully there’s more to come from this couple and the supporting cast in the book. I look forward to reading more happenings from the ‘Beyond Granite Falls’ series and would especially love to see what evolves as far as Armand and Sylvia, whether they’re together or they just find that ONE. No spoilers from me, but if you’re a fan of the Granite Falls Crew, you definitely need to check out “Loving Yasmine”.

What woman wouldn't want to be loved like Robert loves Yasmine, he is totally dedicated to her despite the many fences she's built up against being in a real relationship with him. I ran out of patience with her, lol. There's a lot more than romance going on, though it all ties together to clear up their emotional baggage, it made the story drag despite the happy, emotional and surprising revelations. I'm not a fan of secret-holding in this genre and had already figured out Yasmine's secret from the jump, so glad that that was all laid bare as well as how they handled it. They are perfect for one another and their story is interesting and very sensual, he definitely takes hot and heavy to a whole new level, love that he's willing to work and fight for her love. Robert grew with an abusive alcoholic father and he made something of himself. Robert is now a self-made millionaire and CEO of a medical company. Yasmine is a divorce attorney. When Yasmine was younger she dreamed about marrying and having a family with her best friends brother Robert. Yasmine is older but with her being a divorce attorney and seeing and dealing divorces her views on marriage and family has changed. Roberts want to marry Yasmine, have a family and be a better dad to his children than his father was to him.

Can Robert convince Yasmine that with her being a divorce attorney and dealing with the ins and outs that the two of them are perfect for each other and can have a happy marriage as long as there is love, they can get thru anything?

I received an ARC via Booksprout and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

Ana, you didn't disappoint, Robert and Yasmine story was worth the wait . After the premier of their story, I waited a while before reading it. I am so glad that I took my time to read and fully appreciate the characters in the story. I love these characters, I love how you made their struggle real and their love so believable. I thought Massimo was my piece of right and he is but Robert got my "scoop!" Yasmine, you are right up there with the other women, Michelle , Kaya, Nia (Shaina), Tashi! You love hard and play hard...What can I say, I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!! Thanks Ana, you done it again!! Please buy and see for yourself, this is a must read!

Robert and Yasmine knowing where your heart lies

Happily ever after doesn't mean one doesn't experience trials but more importantly it means overcoming those trials. Robert and Yasmine, had to get over the independent syndrome and recognize nothing was wrong with being interdependent on the one you love. Yasmine and her ambition might have cost her with any other relationship but when you have someone like Robert, you know the love will be fault for. Robert was not without fault as identity was very important in getting to know who was his family and reconciling his past. Through it all you're left with a heartfelt story of love and devotion at its core and purist form.

Robert and Yasmine will have you cheering them on to get a chance for happiness. He was raised in an abusive environment. He vowed once he became successful that he would marry and raise a family that will be far different from his upbringing. Yasmine use to dream about marrying Robert who is the brother of her best friend. Now that they are adults and are in positions to get married, Robert wants nothing more than to marry Yasmine, but Yasmine’s job a divorce attorney has jaded her to marriage. Can Robert get her to change her mind and trust their relationship to be strong enough to weather any storm?

Robert and Yasmine have loved each other for years. Robert wants to marry Yasmine, but she's turned him down twice. This story of love tells about two people who love each other one ready to take their love to the next level and the other is holding back even though she loves Robert exclusively. Robert is willing to wait for Yasmine to marry him, but he eventually issues an ultimatum. Yasmine has a big secret that she must get up the nerve to tell Robert before she can move forward with marrying him. I really enjoy reading this story.

Happily Ever Afte

I totally loved Robert and Yasmine's story. I laughed, cried and cussed while reading this. I felt so bad for Ms. Montenegro. She lost so much but gained a whole lot. Robert dealt with so much guilt trying to be the man at such a young age. I'm really glad all of his demons were laid to rest.

Another Excellent Piece of Art

Ms. Ross has written another excellent piece of art. It not only told of Robert and Yasmine's undying love for each other but also answered Roberts questions of who he is. Finding / being found by his Grannie was an added bonus to this story. I look forward to other masterpieces from Ms Ross.

Robert & Yasmine

Robert and Yasmine have loved each other for years but their past needs to be dealt with first. Can they put the past behind and live for the present?

This is a book intended for a very mature reader. No BDSM but very detailed sex scenes.

This portion of the series not only completed The Doctor's Secret Bride, but made me curious to read the other books that came in between the Granite Falls series, and after.
