Often times, young people and adults desire spiritual connectivity without the understanding of how to get there. Going to powerful events and experiencing contagious moves of God's presence excites and enlightens us, but then, we find ourselves at a standstill. Where do we go from here?In "Maintaining Divine Operation," Eli Hernandez addresses many of the struggles that young people and adults experience when trying to maintain a deeper, daily connection to the spirit world. He highlights the importance of maintaining one's spiritual soil and keeping oneself connected through prayer, humility, and love."In your hands are the blueprints for the end-time apostolic harvest and revival that has been prophesied about and prayed for." -Rema Duncan"Prepare to learn, laugh, cry, think, and most of all, pray. You will access into a pure soil that is straight from heaven. Don’t take this one for granted." -Josh Herring"I encourage men and women, who are hungry to enter into higher spiritual dimensions in the Holy Ghost, to read this book. It is in Eli’s words, exactly as taught by him. Enjoy." -Jack Cunningham Hernandez was an international evangelist and ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. For over thirty years, his ministry affected many individuals across the United States of America and reached over 50 countries across the world. He witnessed countless miracles and operated in the gifts of the Spirit, imparting and prophesying wherever he went. He and his family resided in Las Vegas, NV. From there he traveled weekly to churches across the globe, bringing the good news of Jesus to all those who were hungry. In 2020, he passed away of COVID-19, but his legacy continues to affect all those who desire a deeper relationship with God.For more information, visit revivalinprogress.com.
In my opinion, this is his best book despite the fact that " a world beyond the stars" tends to get the most publicity.
However, I recommend reading "a world beyond the stars" before reading this book because it serves a purpose.
"A world beyond the stars" convinces you of the idea that the supernatural is for everyone, while this book actually provides practical methods to achieve what he talks about in that book.
However, Eli prefaces the introduction of those methods by showing you a framework you need to have first.
"Humility is the maintainer of your soil. If you maintain your soil with humility, God will maintain the seed and multiplication".
Eli proceeds to shift your perspective on humility from what the typical definition of it is "think less of yourself". Humility isn't thinking less of yourself but it's thinking of yourself less.
Even something as simple as going back at somebody who said something to you that was offensive is an indication that you're thinking about yourself too much. Jesus didn't go back at people that made statements that ruined his reputation.
The other aspect of thinking of yourself less is thinking of others more. When Steven was being stoned he didn't pray for deliverance, he prayed for deliverance (Spiritually at least) for the guys stoning him.
This level of humility is a prerequisite to going deeper into the Spiritual. You lose your identity and you learn how to identify with Christ.
The book proceeds to break down how to tap into gifts and how to ensure you're hearing/seeing and smelling the way you need to in the Spiritual realm.
This book was more helpful than I anticipated and I would recommend it to anybody trying to get closer to Jesus.
The sub title says “for youth and young adults” simply because this book is from a series of lessons taught to a group of youth before Eli Hernandez passed away. I found the book to be one I will purpose to read each year. He teaches of humility, meekness, and of hearing, seeing and speaking spiritually. Insightful instruction re: the condition of the heart and its impact on hearing the word of God. Challenging teaching re: being spiritually sensitive and using that sensitivity as God chooses for His purpose.
This book is packed full of revelation. Since I picked up this book and have been searching into the things presented herein the atmosphere of my home has changed, I’ve changed. I solidly believe that this book will empower every believer that “hears” what the Spirit of God is saying through this man of God will find himself/herself greatly used in the kingdom of God.
This should be required reading for everyone in ministry. It is easy to read/grasp, but the application may be challenging depending on how you take things and how mature/developed you are. For those who have been in ministry for a while, this book covers things you most likely know by intuition and experience but puts into words and defines why stuff works/is the way it is.
Bro Hernandez really is very sensitive in regards to the Spiritual world. This book impacted my perspective on how miracles happen. WORTH THE READ! Praise God! I highly recommend it to the young people who have the burden to go deeper in the spirit
Such a powerful teaching series. So many nuggets to help us walk were Jesus intended us to walk. Everyone needs to read, listen and practice the principles found in this book.
This book really opened my understanding on going deeper with. The aspect of humility explained so clearly and operations in the spirit were phenomenal.
Would recommend this book to every apostolic church or believer.
This is exactly what other readers before me have said, a POWERFUL book! Don’t let the tag line “for youth & young adults” stop you from reading it. What will happen to the church body when we walk in humility as brother Hernandez speaks on throughout the book? I got chills reading his stories.
