Filled with sizzling chemistry and great tension this Paranormal Angel Romance ticks all the boxes. The tension between Nathan and Tessa builds slowly as they each try to hold to their resolution to avoid any romantic entanglements. Nathan has the burden of his family’s celestial legacy he struggles to keep hidden at any cost, while Tessa doesn’t want the heartbreak and career devastation again like she suffered not so long ago. But events conspire against them and their hearts want what they want as dark forces gather and their lives are endangered. The darker undertones in the novel only add to story’s pace draws the reader on. Add the great steamy scenes between Nathan and Tessa and the threads that sow the seeds for the next and future books in the series and I can’t help but look forward to the next book.

This was surprisingly a good book. I loved that heroine wasn’t a simpering fool waiting for the hero to save her, but actually took matters into her own hands to save herself. I also like that he evolved as a character as the book progressed instead of being a one note, one dimensional, sex crazed, domineering idiot. They both worked through their issues, made mistakes, and their story worked. 4.3 stars.

I had the opportunity to read Devil’s Temptation by Trish Heinrich and let me just say, I really liked this book. It’s a different take on paranormal romance than the typically vampires, werewolves, demons and anything that I’ve read before. Devil’s Temptation is focused on Tessa, an investigative reporter trying to regain her reputation after a bad breakup and Nathan, a playboy nightclub owner who is struggling with his family’s celestial legacy. They meet by chance when he saves her one night from a demon attack. From there, things escalate.

I loved that Devil’s Temptation is written in dual POV. I really liked to see Nathan’s reactions and thoughts. This book has the steamy and good plot. The characters are interesting and suck you in. You like them and are rooting for them. I even liked the side characters and want to know how their stories end up. I’d love to see more about Justine and Alexis’s backstories as well as Nathan’s family backstory.

One thing to note is that the story begins and the reader doesn’t necessarily get all the information right away. We begin with Tessa at the Supers Confidential offices. You don’t have to wait long to learn more about Supers Confidential and the paranormal elements included in this story..its all described in the next few chapters but as someone who likes to know everything right away it was a tad hard at the very beginning only because I felt like I was missing something or didn’t have the full story. That could also be because this is my first time reading this author but that said, it didn’t take away from the story. I was still sucked in and committed to Tessa/Nathan. I stayed up and finished the book in one day.

So overall, I highly recommend this book!! It’s a can’t miss paranormal romance. It’s got interesting characters, a different take on the paranormal, good plot, as well as some added spice! Looking forward to reading book 2; I cannot wait to find out what happens with Ravi and Ava!!

Five enthusiastic stars for this Devil with a hero’s heart!

Devil’s Temptation is a new take on a Paranormal Romance that delivers everything you expect from the genre. Celestial superheroes, intrigue, action, and heat.

Tessa’s humor and obsession with chocolate had me relating to her immediately. The independent reporter finds herself at a crossroads when she falls for the playboy bachelor, Nathan Dearborne.

But Nathan is faced with his own decision when he realizes he’s falling for the quirky blonde who accepts both parts of him.

There’s a solid amount of angst that made the bedroom scenes satisfying in more ways than one. The steam is off the charts hot. The sensual way Nathan treats Tessa, both physically and emotionally, is what lasting book boyfriends are made of.

I loved the way Trish brought the heroes to life. The unique way the celestials derive their powers was intriguing and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the series unfolds.

Grab an ice cold drink before you start this book so you don’t get scorched from the heat and get comfy. You’re not going to want to put it down!

HEA: YEAH !

Yummy, Naughty Dark Angels, did I say Yummy ..... The storyline was different and filled with action. The sizzle between the main characters was GREAT. Would have liked some more history around the bad guys to make you hate them even more (you got a glimpse of it, I LOVE to hate the bad guys and yell at my books !!). The excellent character building has left you wanting the next stories Max, Ravi, Ava, etc. Also want to know more about Mom ! Can't wait for the other stories and to learn more about the Silver Devil as he learns about himself. TONS of potential here as we only got a glimpse into what these stories really are. Still left to the imagination ...... definitely read.

I love paranormal romances I was excited to see a celestial shifter If you will. The story follows Tessa a young aspiring journalist trying to mend a broken heart. Nathan is a playboy night club owner that struggles with living the life he wants & person he wants to be vs the following in the footsteps of the family he was born into. I love the chemistry & banter between Nathan and Tessa. The side characters each give to the story in their own way. I can not wait to read the next book.

Holy HOTNESS. Okay, if you don’t know Nathan, you have to fix that. Nathan and Tessa are amazing. I love the Lucifer meets Sin City vibe that this book gave me. It has the Noir feel I had been looking for with the supernatural angelic twist that makes it even better. When you get to the scene with the wings... you'll know what I mean. I loved it and I'm looking forward to know more about the secondary characters as well! Trish Heinrich has become a one click for me.

A very good story. Tessa is, by far, the best character in the story as Nathan is the wounded, or reluctant, hero. They both have similar relationship pains from the past. There is a bunch of push and pull within and between this pair. The story, excluding the epilogue, comes to a satisfying end. The epilogue is a precursor to the next title which seems to involve one of the minor characters in this story.

Action-packed. Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Great world building. Happily Ever After. Romantic. Scary. Steamy. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Wonderful characters.

Excepting Who I am

Awesome, this is a new read for me as well as the writer.
I loved it felt like readingabout angels with action and an adveture. So grab this series...AWESOMENESS! Great characters, bewildering personalities , great origins, awesome storylines, well written POV, narratives and easy to follow.

Everything you are looking for in a good superhero story, including a villain with a legit ax to grind with the hero - and some seriously ambiguous morally gray area going on. Lots of action from the beginning, secret identities, glamorous settings, and lots of chocolate. This is the kind of book that just dumps you into the story complete with references to people and places in the universe that almost make you wonder if you missed a previous book in the series, but it is all explained and comes together.

Tessa is no innocent damsel in distress - she is a journalist determined to get the story that will get her career on track even if it means putting herself in the cross-hairs. Nathan is the quintessential reluctant anti-hero bad boy with a protective streak for his loved ones. They've both got demons in their past and reasons why a relationship could never work - but oh - the chemistry! Yep, there is a lot of romance and steam in this book as well. Their relationship was by turns adorable and angsty as it developed. So much delicious tension, but with a purpose - not for the sake of. And then you throw in the sibling dynamic and it just gets that much better.

This is the first book in the Silver City Celestials series, superhero action with a PNR vibe. This book has a complete story arc and can be read as a standalone, but leaves plenty open and unanswered for book 2. If it is anything like this book, it will be one wild ride!

"Devil's Temptation" by Trish Heinrich is a smoking hot read that brought every single one of my dark angel antihero fantasies to life. Although Nathan Dearborne is a "genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist" (hello, Tony Stark), Trish effortlessly breathes new life into the tried and true tropes. And with a superhero vigilante twist!

This book is action-packed and full of lots and lots of UST (and chocolate!) between Tessa and the "two" male leads, and when the steam finally kicks in around the 50% mark, it definitely satisfies. Trish has a way with (and around, and all up and down) smutty words.

There's even some nonbinary gender identity representation in the story, which is a bonus, and some of the other characters– all lovable and well-rounded– introduced are set up to receive their own HEA/HFN later in the series. I'm personally super excited for Ravi and Ava's story.

I highly recommend this steamy romance read!

I really enjoyed this story and am looking forward to reading the next one (which I think has just been released!)

Tessa is a great character, full of sass and opinions which is always my preference. Nathan has definitely met his match with her! 🔥💜

I enjoyed the storyline, even though at times I wanted to bang their heads together for not communicating effectively, it would have saved them both a lot of heartache if they had!! 😃

I'm sure as the series moves on we'll find out the answers to the questions about Nathan's family too, which really really intrigues me.

A great read, would definitely recommend!

Lucifer fans this book is a love letter to you! I love the entire Silver City Celestials series and Nathan and Tessa are where it all begins! Their dynamic definitely reminds me a little of Lois and Clark, with Tessa being a motivated reporter trying to right her career. Nathan is the ‘bad boy’ billionaire club owner with a tragic past. This romance hit all the right beats, strong female lead with great banter and the steam, oh my the steam! Memorable side characters flow seamlessly into the next book. Binge worthy book boyfriend alert!

DNF - quit at 10% (all books I DNF get a 1 star rating, doesn’t mean other readers won’t like it)
It just was not my cup of tea. This read like a super-hero comic book to me. It just didn’t pull me in, but I’m not much for the super-hero type stories in the first place. All the references to super hero’s or super villains she’s researching for her job in research fora magazine, no real world building to set up the story, one of her friends is a siren, but really no set up to explain all this super-natural phenomenon in the world. It might have helped pull the story together better & kept me reading. I either need world background or a learn as the characters do type of set up to make sense of the story.

At my age (60), life is way too short & my time is too important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.
