Interested in martial arts, swords, archery, Dungeon & Dragons, the SCA (Society of Creative Anachronisms), reading Sci-Fi and Fantasy, Jason became a computer gamer after leaving the Army. Always interested in writing, Jason began his first novel called Flight, Book One of The Last Paladin Series, in 2013 and self-published the next year in 2014. He went on to continue writing, releasing the popular series The World in 2018.

Cheeks blows it out of the water again

. Constantly impressed by the way he weaves all the threads into such an impressive tapestry. One of the best things about this series is the way the characters are based on real people. As a long time gamer my friends share a lot of the same traits. It's almost like playing at my basement table again.

This book is LitRPG '24' style with the entire book taking place in one day. All the main and sub arcs are advanced. I cannot wait until some of the subarcs tie together in future books. The action sequences and universe building are well done. The book might seem lengthy but I found it to be a quick read as I was fully captivated with the stories. When is the next book?!?!

Multifaceted goodness

I hope I never cease to be impressed at an author's ability to manage multiple related storylines in a way that you never lose track of them individually or how they fit together to make up a single story. Way beyond something I'm capable of doing. And dang! This is such a fun story to follow. Definitely a favorite.

Alert

“This was a fun book. I am glad that I read it. You should try it too.”

I am not going to share my reasoning, thoughts on the book, or any opinions that would influence your decision to read it. I am simply saying that I liked it. I would like you to read it and make your own decision. After all, you are a much better judge of what you will like than anyone here.

I will happily discuss the book with you on Goodreads if you are so inclined. As always, I am open to debates and arguments, but also vain enough to seek acknowledgement, so feel free to roast me or applaud my efforts. Either is acceptable, because if you are paying attention to me then you are at least considering the book. And THAT my friends is exactly why you see my comments here.

Cheers

Another awesome installment.

I love these books. They get better every time. The world building is great and the mass battle, pvp and pve battles are well written. I would have loved seeing skill grinding more but with all that is happening in the story I can understand why not.

My only complaint is complaint is I have to wait for the next one.

Another fun read with great humor and a lot of action. I find myself laughing at so many of the old school gamer tidbits thrown in every in these books.

Fast paced return of a great series

It has been awhile but the book felt like a seamless return to one of my favorite series. I didn't realize there was a character guide until the end of the book, which would have helped. The large number of characters and multiple storylines blending together builds a fascinating world. Hopefully the next book is much sooner.

Wonderfully filling

Sometimes when you read a book the end is too soon or the book left you wanting. This books only makes me excited for The next one but fully satiated my need for The World. Love these series!

Multiple stories

I loved each storyline, but I wish that they had been standalone short stories or a different series running in parallel.

Okay

One more book, one more day. I’m hoping the author will pick up the pace a bit. Also, crazy that the MC receives so much hate from admin with no oversight on the ex-girlfriend. Seems unbalanced to me but the story is still good.

Still awesome

Well there are way too many characters in the series, they are all of high quality with lots of interesting interactions between them. As for The World. I want to play there.

Action from first chapter

This author has delivered so well in this installment. Fast paced, bloody action fighting to get back to Startums keep. Characters are explained and loved more, even from first little girl from first book. Author loves his characters and allows readers to continue to live them.
Recommend this series to any reader that loves epic books.
Hobgoblins. Massive invasions of over powered Orcs. This book is a rollercoaster of fun.
Cannot wait for next book. Thank you Jason Creek for writing such an epic series.

Okay, this one needs some explaining.

I greatly enjoyed the first few books in this series. They focused on the World and the complexities in it. When the focus shifted to the players, I disliked it immensely. The ever expanding cast and involved antics made for a difficult read. Now, focus is back on the World and it's inhabitants. Also the way the story breaks up into sections makes following along much easier. Overall I feel the tone has shifted back to the way it was at the start of the series and I am very happy with it.

Another Page Turner

Jason has created an amazingly vivid and spectacular world that sucks you in and leaves you wanting more every time. I wanted to cry when I finished this book because I don’t want the story to end! Another great book in the series. Sit back and make some time, your not going to want to put it down once you start.

Once again the author takes us through a day in The World video game with intense action, great characters, and a fantastic story that I just can't get enough of. This series has been at the absolute top of my favorites list since I read book one. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes game lit.

Story line

I like the story line since it doesn't go into darkness but stays at a level of combat and comradery.

Awesome Actually Fan~tastic

This story of a small guild going pro in a new game world while fighting a large guild of mercenary corporate sabotaging player killers was a very interesting read.
Funny how established Authors resemble the PK’ers and the MC is like indie Author.
I really thought the technology was either aliens or alternative reality but with the Admin interface that ship mostly sailed. I thought it was Avatar like world.

Epic, where others have tried. Mr creek, Dominates!!!

Five stars, simply epic. Others have leveled there character but this guy does everything right especially the character sheet at the end. If there was a downside to these books it's that there's only 8 right now.
If you like fantasy, ever played a video game, or have read a book, you know honestly these books could be the reason people teach dogs to read. There isn't any one I wouldn't recommend them to.

Great Story

I have enjoyed this series and am looking forward to the next book. Star's ability to think outside the box is always fun to read. I hope that the game developers figure out what Julie is up to and whomever is behind it before long. Thanks Jason for the great read, a I hope you have completely recovered you health after you MI.

Just better and better

Man, these books just keep getting better and better. The intricacies of the storylines, the tactics used in the PVP, these are just some of the things I love about this book. This is honestly one of the best LitRPG books I’ve read. I am highly impressed by the skill needed by this author to write these out so quickly as well as being so highly detailed.

I'm totally hooked on this series. 'Neck-Deep' successfully progresses the story forward with enough new development to keep me entertained and intrigued. Written with such an authentic feel and palpable compassion for gaming- it makes me feel like I'm in there with the characters. which is pretty cool.

Stick the the Main Character please

I cannot believe we were given over 400 pages of side character plot lines. I don't care about Zeven or Jodi, I want to see Star's POV. A chapter or two of side character is fine, BUT HALF THE BOOK IS SIDE CHARACTER.
