This was good and helpful! I liked most the part where it described how jazz requires good roots and using a diary to track your journey, how you’ll make music that sucks for a while at first and it’s ok. Listened via audiobook.

This book felt more like a lecture, but it was a pleasant read, as it mainly encourages ongoing practice.
