Okay, so... I feel somewhat guilty for giving this such a high rating, but honestly, I would lie if I said I didn't enjoy reading it. The start was... weird, but the rest was pretty great. It isn't exactly very deep, but it isn't supposed to be, so that's okay.
I've read a good amount of yaoi, and so far, this one probably has the best executed sex scenes out of what I've seen. I didn't really realise what I liked about it until I went back and tried to read some other yaoi and it made me realise the difference of quality. I also enjoyed that the smaller guy that looks like the uke actually was the seme and vice versa.
All in all, this manga isn't exactly a masterpiece of modern literature, but it was pretty enjoyable to read as braindead entertainment. I definetely would recommend it to anyone who likes yaoi, and especially those who like the slightly sadomasochistic kind.

Dieser Manga ist süß und kinky. Es gibt zwar nicht viel Handlung in der Geschichte, aber es war toll zu sehen, wie Kurokawa und Kishi Spaß miteinander haben. Wir bekommen nur kleine Einblicke in ihren Alltag und ihre sich entwickelnde Beziehung, aber das Wenige, was wir üer sie erfahren, fühlt sich nicht unrealistisch an. Es ist ein bisschen schade, dass wir so wenig von ihnen sehen, das nicht mit Sex zu tun hat, denn sie scheinen auch außerhalb des Schlafzimmers eine gute Chemie zu haben. Aber da sie immer durch Sex abgelenkt werden, wenn sie versuchen, etwas Neues übereinander zu lernen, ist die Geschichte in dieser Hinsicht ein bisschen seicht. Trotzdem ist es klar, dass sie sich sehr gern haben und sich miteinander wohl fühlen. Ihre Beziehung fühlt sich aufrichtig an und das ist es, was mir beim Lesen Spaß gemacht hat. Ich würde tatsächlich nicht Nein zu einer Fortsetzung sagen.
Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass die Art der Zeichnungen nicht für alle etwas ist, auch weil sie recht explizit sind, aber mir haben sie sehr gut gefallen.

We only get small glimpses of their everyday lives and their developing relationship, but what little we do learn about them doesn't feel unrealistic. It's a bit of a shame that we see so little of them that doesn't involve sex, because they seem to have good chemistry outside of the bedroom too. But since they are always distracted by sex when trying to learn something new about each other, the story is a bit shallow in that regard. Still, it is clear that they like each other very much and are comfortable with each other. Their relationship feels genuine and that is what I enjoyed reading. In fact, I wouldn't say no to a sequel.
I can imagine that the kind of drawings are not for everyone, also because they' re quite explicit, but I liked them very much.

Mostly a porn without plot. The art style was not really my fav since it looks like a hentai (those weird-excited expressions are a big no for me).
The main couple spends more time fucking than talking and it was almost hilarious. Gave me the vibes of a M&S but with no depth whatsoever.

Am I going to post a public review of yaoi on a site people I know follow me on? Yes. I guess shame is not a thing anymore.
Let me start off by saying it's a shame that this thing only has six reviews, really. I haven't read a lot of yaoi in my life, but I'm pretty sure this is very good as far as yaoi standards go. I have to say that the rating I'm giving it is partially my own opinion; if I were to rate it objectively as a yaoi, I'd probably give it five stars. My friend recommended this (she has quite a bit of yaoi-reading... expertise..?), so that's why I ended up reading it, but I've really just come to the conclusion that it's not my thing. The more sex they have, and the more kinky it gets, the more I long for some good ol' cheesy fluff. I'm really just a big softie... So yeah, it does feel a bit unfair to be rating it as low as I am, but that's just how I feel about it.
Now onto the more objective review... If you like yaoi, just read this. The story is still relatively cute and I guess it has just the right amount of kink(...?). Well, actually, I guess that's subjective as well. It's not very hardcore, anyway, but it's not just plain vanilla either. I liked the cute, romantic moments mixed in with the sex (way more than the actual sex itself, hehe), but everything was well executed, I think. The drawing style was great, and even though the content isn't my thing, I can appreciate the aesthetic value of this.
Overall, if this is your thing, it's great. Just doesn't happen to be mine, I guess.

Nachdem ich auf Instagram den ersten Aufschrei zu Our Dedication gehört hab, habe ich mich direkt noch mehr gefreut den Band zu lesen.
Ich meine, machen wir uns nichts vor, Cover und Rückenbild, sowie Leseprobe machen schon mehr als deutlich, was man bekommt!
Oder auch nicht, denn ich war überhaupt nicht darauf gefasst, wie unfassbar cute, rücksichtsvoll und schön der Umgang zwischen den Protagonisten sein würde. Dabei wirkt das zu Beginn ganz anders. So deutlich, wie Kurokawa Kishi anschmachtet, das muss man einfach niedlich finden. Diese Seite erwartet man zu Beginn einfach nicht. Wobei perverser, adretter Geschäftsmann schon eher ein Klischee ist, zumindest in meinem Kopf. Die Kombi hats einfach gemacht.
Aber lasst euch von meinen Worten nicht täuschen, es ist sehr explizit und kinky. Ich taufe es liebevoll Wohlfühl-Porn. haha. Dieses ausgewogene Verhältnis hinzukriegen, ist ein Drahtseilakt und ich freue mich, dass ich schlussendlich mehr bekam, als erwartet.
Zudem ist der Band unzensiert und der Zeichenstil einfach schön.

Bei dem Manga kann ich mich nicht entscheiden ob ich ihm 3,6 oder 4,0 Sterne geben soll und das liegt am Erotikanteil. Zum einen ist der sehr gut, weil endlich mal unzensiert und gut gezeichnet, zum anderen nimmt er aber viel zu viel Platz im Manga ein und alles andere bekommt nur sehr wenig Fokus. Daher bin ich hin und hergerissen. Endlich macht ein Manga es vom Zeichenstil her man absolut richtig und auch durchaus von den Charakteren her, aber bietet dann einfach zu wenig Plot und zwischenmenschliches.
Es geht hier um Kishi, der in einem Cafe arbeitet und einen Stammkunden anhimmelt. Er hält ihn allerdings für einen Hetero und traut sich daher nicht ihn anzusprechen. Doch auch Kurokawa, besagter Stammkunde, hat ein Auge auf Kishi geworfen, doch seine nicht nur unterwürfige, sondern auch sadomasochistischen Neigung lassen ihn zweifeln, ob Kishi ihn attraktiv finden wird. Doch irgendwann (wie müsst ihr selbst lesen) finden die beiden dann zusammen. Kurokawa steht ein wenig auf Erniedrigung bzw. benutzt werden und Kishi kommt dem gern nach. Irgendwie passte (für mich) dieses Verhalten nicht zu dem eher jungenhaft wirkenden Kishi. Da hätte ich mir einen männlicheren Typen gewünscht. Was mir gut gefiel, war aber, dass sie außerhalb des Betts eine gleichberechtigte Beziehung geführt haben. Da ist Kishi dann nicht die ganze Zeit dominant aufgetreten.
Der Zeichenstil war der Hammer. Sowohl die Gestik und Minik als auch die erotischen Szenen waren richtig toll gezeichnet. Das Cover finde ich auch ganz toll gestaltet und diese Spotlack Highlights ergeben ein schönes Extra.

“Our Dedication” ist ziemlich kinky und deshalb wahrscheinlich nicht für jeden der richtige Boys Love Manga. Die Geschichte hat nicht wirklich einen Plot und man erfährt nicht viel über deren Leben, da das Sexleben der beiden stark im Vordergrund steht. In jedem Kapitel probieren sie sich an neuen Fantasien von dem Masochisten Kurokawa aus, was die Spannung im Manga aufrecht erhält.
Die Art wie die beiden miteinander umgehen ist dennoch herzerwärmend. Kishi behandelt Kurokawa wie jeder mit seinem geliebten Partner umgehen sollte und sie stehen in der Beziehung beide auf einer Stufe.
Der Zeichenstil ist sehr realistisch, was bei nicht allen Manga der Fall ist, weshalb es bestimmt auch einige Leser gibt, denen diese Art von Zeichenstil durch die vielen Details nicht gefallen könnte.

An sich fand ich den Band nicht schlecht. Den Zeichenstil bestimmter Stellen fand ich jetzt persönlich zwar nicht ganz so schön, da es nicht realistisch sondern eher plastisch wirkte, aber ich mochte die Verbindung, die über den Band hinweg zwischen den beiden aufgebaut wurde. Jedoch fand ich das erste Kapitel doch sehr holprig bzw. überstürzt. Dass Kishi so einfach seinem ‘Trieb’ verfällt, nur weil Kurokawa ihm etwas anbot, fand ich dann doch etwas schwierig. Die Geschichte, die daraus resultierte, war aber sogar ganz süß und ich finde es auch gut, dass unterschiedliche sexuelle Präferenzen - egal wie man selbst dazu steht - repräsentiert werden. Da ich aber mit dem ersten Kapitel, so Probleme hatte hinsichtlich der Handlungen der Charaktere, kann ich dem Band leider nicht mehr Sterne geben.

He assumes the business man is straight and keeps his crush a secret until one day it's pouring rain and the business man rushes to the coffee shop for shelter. Upon removing his jacket the barista discovers some demeaning things written on this business man's body and that the business man is actually a pervy masochistic bottom. They start a relationship and it's actually pretty cute. They like each other and lot and they fulfill each other's sexual needs. *very* spicy.

Només me l'he volgut llegir per un vídeo graciosíssim que roda per Instagram d'una fujoshi que al·lucina perquè la coberta té unes gotes que brillen. Tinc molt de criteri.
