When a skulk of Kitsunes comes to town, things are going to start heating up!
My life is pretty much perfect. Not only do I have the family I never dared to wish for, but I'm finally the World Champion! Of course, there's no rest for the wicked so my coach has already started training me for next year's figure skating championship. But even Garrick's constant nagging isn't enough to ruin my buzz. I'm literally living my dream.
Until a skulk of Kitsunes move to Silver Springs, including a Fire Kitsune who insists that she's my long lost sister. Not to mention, the Celestial Kitsune that makes my heart race.
But I'm not looking for another mate. The three Sterling brothers are more than enough for this Kitsune.
Ember: Outfoxed is a sequel and would be best read after Ember. Ember is a paranormal romcom with magical skates and multiple mates guaranteed to make you laugh and belongs to the Silver Springs Universe.
Hanleigh is a USA Today Bestselling Author and is about as English as it's possible to be, without actually being English.
She first fell in love with books as a child reading Dr Seuss, but moved onto romance when she first read Pride and Prejudice at the age of twelve. She wishes she could live inside the world inside her mind, but since that isn't possible she puts pen to paper and shares that world with her readers instead.
I loved Ember when I read it and I loved the sequel. Her family is just so cute and the new kitsunes on town? I loved it! Hanleigh Bradley is a great author and made another fantastic book for the silver springs universe. Great book.
Life is perfect for Ember and her mates, or so she thinks until a skulk of Kitsunes moves to Silver Springs, and then everything changes. I absolutely adore Ember, and I'm so happy to see her settling more into her life with her mates, and her adorable 'daughter'. But Ember can definitely be stubborn when it comes to things changing, and she isn't quite ready to accept the new things that appear in her life.
I have to admit I love pretty much any story with kitsunes in them, I find personally there just aren't enough books with them in so Ember's story caught my attention as soon as the blurb for book one was announced and the author Hanleigh Bradley's writing and the story is what made me come back for more.
Ember has settled into her new life where she has professional success beyond her dreams and found the family she has always wanted with her three mates and a step-daughter who completes their lives.
Her life takes a turn she never could have anticipated when a group of kitsunes come into town and not only do they include a sister but another mate as well. Let the mayhem begin!
This story has all the humor, heat and heart that we expect from this author and this series, and this story doesn’t disappoint.
This is a second visit to Ember and the Sterling brothers in Silver Springs. Just when Ember thinks her family is complete, some more people appear, including a sister and a new mate. It's a fun visit back to some characters I love, and the new introductions are interesting. Celio also has 2 other brothers that could pop up in future Silver Springs books, with a bit of luck! I also want to see more of the new dynamic now they have more family members!
Ember and her mates are enjoying their life together. She cant imagine her life being any more perfect but fate has different ideas. One fateful night at the rink and her life is forever changed. This book was soo good. I laughed and cried along with the characters.
Excellent sequel with Ember and her mates. Part of the wonderful silver springs universe that never lets you down. A story of new connections melding with the established ones and more development in the original characters. Super steamy with a nice dose of romance. Definitely recommend.
Absolutely amazing I loved getting to go back and visit Ember and her guys along with Avery. I loved the addition of a new mate, celio is a amazing guy and I love how he was brought in. This was a perfect quick read with a great plot and plenty of steam.

If there's one thing Hanleigh Bradley is incredibly good at it's writing children. Even if you don't fall in love with her heroines, you will for sure fall in love with all the amazing characters and personalities of the children she writes about. I was therefore quite excited when I found the arc of this sequel to Ember in my inbox, because one of the characters in Ember is one of the most amazing and cutest kids in existence.
Luckily for me the little girl once more had a starring role in this book! Her questions, her honesty, her way of phrasing things and stating things, it's just so adorable! Especially when she has absolutely no idea that she makes her parents feel slightly uncomfortable. I think it's almost impossible, no matter who you are and what you usually prefer to read, to not like this little girl. I understand that Ember isn't ready for more kids, but if they're all written like this little girl I totally am.
I also quite enjoyed learning a lot more about the Kitsune mythology. I don't know if Bradley realizes what she has done exactly, but now I basically wanna meet all the kinds of Kitsunes she named in this book, which means she will have to write a lot more books about Kitsunes! Especially if all those Kitsunes come with an interesting and slightly overwhelming family as the one introduced in this book. However, I was quite happy for Ember to meet other Kitsunes for the first time!
I have to admit though that another part of the plot, or maybe it's mostly the way it was handled, made me slightly uncomfortable. Usually I don't really have triggers or things I don't really like, but I think this was the first time I encountered something that I quite clearly wasn't really okay with. For me being able to trust each other in a relationship and communicating about what's going on is very important and I do feel like Ember messed up quite badly when it came to that, mate-bond or not.
Ember: Outfoxed is the second book in Ember's Silver Skates series. The book takes place a few months after the previous one. Ember has acclimated to life with the Sterling brothers and being Avery's mom.
Everything seems to be fine until Avery wants siblings, which makes Ember rather uncomfortable with the notion of being pregnant. After putting the conversation aside, Ember goes to the skating rink. It is here that she happens to come in close contact with another kitsune, Celio. Immediately the two are drawn to each other, much to the chagrin of Ember. Ember feels conflicted by her feelings to kiss Celio, which in her mind is a betrayal to her mates.
Surprisingly the brothers aren't upset with her as she thought they would be. Celio and Ember soon find that they are definitely connected when it is discovered that Celio's sister-in-law, Aithne is Ember's long-lost sister.
After going back to the rink to see if Celio would show up, Ember gets more than she bargained for when she finally meets her sister and her family. Once everyone had a chance to talk, Ember was feeling overwhelmed. She now found out that she had a surviving sister and a possible new mate was too much for Ember to handle. How will Ember handle the situation?
What I enjoyed about this book is the honesty of the characters. I think a book is good when the characters can be honest with themselves and each other. Since these characters can hear each other's thoughts it is easier to be open and honest with one another. Ember's openness about being scared to admit that she might have a bond with Celio and how it would affect her family. Ms. Bradley does a great job of translating everyone's thoughts. No one character feels the same.
I can't wait to see what's in store in the next book in the Silver Skates series.
Wow, I was not expecting anything that happened in this whole book. I love that Ember gets a fourth mate and that she finally meets someone from her past. I thought that the three brothers that she had as mates was enough for her, she seemed like she had it all, but then she meets someone at the ice rink and they actually ran into her, and she wants to kiss him. And he's a kitsune too! She ends up dream walking with him and they end up doing a lot more than talk and now she feels guilty for having a naughty dream walk and having three mates already. When she finally meets him again he tells her he brought someone to meet her. It's someone close from her past and she is shocked. This story was very entertaining and did not want to put it down until I was done. It was funny and steamy and I can't wait to see what happens to Ember next! I received a review copy lf this story from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review.
So this was a surprise for me. I thought Ember's story was complete but here we find out that it was no where done. Here Ember and her men are back with a surprise. Also there seems to be a family of kitsunes that move into Silver Springs. Which this is pretty interesting. Ember manages to run into one of the newcomer and something stirs inside her. Now, this is pretty funny because she wants to stay true to her relationships to her men. Her mind is racing all over the place. However, you cannot deny a bond. The guys notice that something is up with Ember and they want are trying to figure out what is going on. Well we are surprised to find out Ember has another mate. So how will this all go down now. How will Ember navigate these new feelings. How do her mates feel about this? Then we find out that she has a sister and more things about her back ground. Overall this was pretty good. So how will this all end. Will it end with a happily ever after? Check it out to see.
This book was amazing!! I don't always love follow-up books but Outfoxed was great!! It was fun to see how Ember, Dom, Klaus, Holden, and Avery were becoming a family and how their partnership was becoming even hotter 🥰 However then we got to add in the new dynamic with a new kitsune shifter Celio and things just get hotter and more fun from there 💗 This writer adds a few more twists and turns that add to the plot and characters which I cant wait to see if get written about in a future book(I sure hope so)!! All of this makes the book a very enjoyable read and one that I would definitely recommend to other readers especially if they liked the first Ember book and the rest of the Silver Springs universe!! Overall a great book and I cant wait for the another Ember book to see what happens next!!
This story was such a great sequel with Ember who is back with her mates Dominick, Holden and Klaus. And Everything couldn't be more perfect. She has her mates, little Avery who I think is just adorable and I love how she bosses her uncle's around. Then one thing leads to another and it's not just her mates she has to deal with but a long lost sister and a family of Tengoku kitsune. And one in particular that will set her heart racing. I just loved Embers journey as she finally learns about her past that got me quite emotional towards the end. While there was some emotional moment in the story it still managed to make me laugh especially with the sterling brother's who always make me smile. New character's you'll end up loving. Cameo appearance from Garrick, Lupine and the gang and a happy ending I just loved.
I received an ARC from BookFunnel and am leaving my review voluntarily. This is book 16 in the series but should be read after Ember book 2. This is a light, quick read.
Triggers: this is a reverse harem story with 1 F and multiple M partners whose sole focus is her
Spoilers: Ember, grew up an orphan after being abandoned by her dad. she is an ice skating champion and has been living happily in the magical town of Silver Springs with her 3 mates, brothers Klaus, Holden and Dominick and Dominicks daughter.
Celio, a kitsune like Ember arrives in town with his family and when he see's her for the first time believes they could be mates.
I enjoyed going back and visiting Ember and her mates. It was a great quick catch up. Ember is living her perfect life, 3 handsome mates, an adorable stepdaughter and she has finally been crowned the world skating champion - what more could she want? A long-lost sister and another mate apparently. Ember doesn't want to ruin what she already has and it's the unknown she is so afraid of, but she can't deny the pull to the kitsune. I enjoyed finding out more about kitsunes and hopefully we'll see them again in another book as the dynamics of the new family was very entertaining. I loved seeing all her guys interating and I wish we'd had more time to get to know Celio.
Oh I loved this story. We get to see a bit more of how Ember’s life is proceeding since meeting her mates. Of course, we get to see more of Dominick, Holden, and Klaus as well as wonderful, sweet Avery. We meet new characters that are an absolute stunning addition to the story. Celio is a perfect addition to the story that has so much more in the group. While the story is a super long one it is still extremely well written and developed and doesn’t leave you feeling like you are missing anything. It does, however, leave you wanting more. I definitely was glued to the story as I devoured it. This is an absolute must read and doesn’t disappoint.
I love these Silver Springs books. They all have a sweet charm about them as well as lovable characters, great stories, a few laughs and some steam thrown in too. Ember's books have all of that. So when a new guy/kitsune - Celio walks into her life or more so crashes into it it throws all the balance in it off course. Hes not the only one to bring more complications into it.
I loved Ember and her mates - Dominick, Klaus and Holden from the 1st book and i loved this book just as much! Avery is a real sweetie too. Especially with all the talk about babies. A great read
She is just settling down wirh her mates and her stepdaughter after winning her championship when Avery starts saying she wants a baby brother. The stuff that comes out of their mouths in this book had me laughing.
There were some surprises in this book also and some answers to Embers past. It was nice to see some closure on some things and some new additions to Silver Springs. I can't wait to see whats in store for Ember and her mates in the next book.
Yes! I love these Silver Springs reads and Bradley is one of the best! Ember is back and living her dream life until... I loved these characters and the additional info we get on Ember's back story as well as the laughs. These Silver Spring reads deliver the perfect balance of laughs, love and lust with characters and storylines that captivate from start to finish! Love Bradley's contributions to this multi author series / spin-off!
I received a free copy of this book upon request and voluntarily provided this review.
Ember is beyond blessed to have the family she has claimed as her own. She is suddenly thrown for a triple axel when she is approached by a group of kitsunes, when she thought she was the only one in their realm. One who unexpectedly turns her inner furnace into overdrive and another who claims to be family that she never knew existed. Trusting that her mates have her back no matter how bad she feels that she's not worthy of their love, is something she'll have to stop over thinking about
Amber is still adjusting from being an orphan most of her life to suddenly having three mates and a step daughter. Then suddenly she has a fourth mate, a sister who is expecting, three brother-in-law, two sister-in-law and a mother and father-in-law almost overnight. She may be overwhelmed but her step-daughter is thrilled. This new family sounds like a real improvement for her new mate, with much less bickering. Amber will also be able to add to her heritage with more knowledge of her own species.
What more could one woman want...a national skating championship, three mates who loved her, a sweet stepdaughter who fills her heart (and wants a sibling)! Life is looking pretty good when a strange man skates right into her. He's no stranger, he's a kitzune shifter and her new mate, Celio. Her family appears to be ever-growing, as she inherits a whole bunch of in-laws in the deal. Ember is a character who you can't help but adore; she is witty, sweet and sexy. This is the 16th book in the Silver Skates series and it's one of the best!
I am addicted to the Silver Springs world these incredible authors have created, and I LOVE when they give us additional stories for the characters we are introduced to in the main story lineup! We are back with fire kitsune Ember and her men in Ember Outfoxed and it was great seeing where they are at now. There are some new characters introduced like a potential new mate and a potential lost sister, but it was an addicting read that I finished in one sitting! I can't wait to see what is next for the inhabitants of Silver Springs!
in Outfoxed, Ember finally finds out the truth about her family and meets her sister. Whilst there are heartbreaking moments there is also lots of love and warmth through the book as well. I actually forgot just how much I loved Avery’s character until I read this. She is such a great kid and I love the fact she stated she wanted a brother like it was no big deal (the whole conversation made me laugh out loud). I also liked just how much you can see the brothers love and care for Ember as they comfort her and accept her fourth mate.
Ember Outfoxed by Hanleigh Bradley is the sixteenth book in the Silver Skates Series, and the second Ember book. I loved our first glimpse into the world of Ember, and it's awesome to re-visit and see how she's doing with her mates now. We're certainly not disappointed. there's a whole lotta change coming her way in a time that Ember only wants to stay in her happy zone, but I'm sure that new family, new characters and a potential new mate will make for a happy Ember in the long run... Read this awesome addition to the Silver Skates Series to find out!
Ember’s family is so cute, I enjoyed them. Everything was going well for her until a Skulk of Kitsunes moved to Silver Springs. Ember does not want to accept what that may mean for her future, because she is a bit stubborn. The plot is very interesting, and draws you in. I enjoyed learning about Kitsunes. I did not read the first book, but quickly fell in love with the characters. One of my favorite moments was her skating with her daughter, so adorable. I highly recommend you try this book, it is overall a great book. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A fun continuation of Ember’s story. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was funny and informative. I had no idea there were so many types of Kitsunes. I liked reading as their happy ever after continues and develops. So many stories are one issue after another and it seems like the characters don’t get any time to be happy. Hanleigh didn’t do this, which I loved. My only complaint is I wish it were longer.
Hanleigh knows how to write some spice. I love her spicy scenes. They are very steamy!!!!
Ember is happy for the first time in a very long time. She has her mates and a step daughter. She has everything she could want right? Wrong! Ember meets a mysterious kitsune that she is instantly attracted to. Cue guilty thoughts. She feels like she is betraying her mates. They are so understanding though. They see what is going on. Will Ember be able to figure out her feelings?
This book I've been waiting on for some time and it brought everything I was hoping for. Living the best life with her mates is all Ember ever wanted. However we all know how the fates like to play games. I really enjoyed Ember and the story we get about the kitsunes and all that. It's not the first Kitsune story Hanleigh gave us and I can't wait to learn more about kitsunes. I loved Ember got to meet other kitsunes for the first time and can only imagine what joy it brought to Ember.
Ember thinks her life is complete. Then after taking her daughter to the rink to skate, her life takes a dramatic turn. Another kitsune enters the picture and everything changes. Thinking that she would never see another one, and to find out that she has even more to look forward to. I just love Ember and her family, and this story will warm your heart even more. Definitely a must read if your a Silver Springs fan!
