People have been talking about selling the same way for years. They might use different phrasing, but they’ve been saying the same things.
“Don’t take no for an answer!”
“Always be closing!”
“You’re either born to sell, or you’re not.”
Well, guess what, times have changed.

You’ll build more trust, you’ll create lasting professional relationships, and best of all, you’ll sell more than you ever have before.
So kick the bad sales habits that you’ve been taught or picked up over the years, and start fresh. Learn how to develop a process that makes sales conversations easier. Find out how to set expectations that keep you from endlessly chasing prospects down. And discover a way of selling that won’t make you feel slimy or “salesy.”
Learn to love your job (again or for the first time!) and find more success than ever by Selling from Scratch.
This book somehow is both something I wish I read the day I started selling AND something that has already helped improve my current mindset and selling tactics. This is the anti-“sales book”. It’s not tips and tricks. It’s the necessary steps, tactics, frameworks, and mindset that most if not all sales people need to succeed. In the war against scammy sales people and the “car salesman” stereotype. We need more sellers like John “Small Mountain” Hill. I applaud his efforts in this respect. If we had more sales people read this book we would have less sales malpractice and more trust in the function altogether. On top of all that it is a comfortable read. Written as if you’re in conversation with someone that you recently met. Very well done.
A wonderful approach to get over your sales anxiety
I really like the authors approach to selling. As an entrepreneur, I have a really hard time with the sales process. Not only does this book give you a good framework to help you sell better, it even breaks down the challenges you may face and how to overcome them. If you are an entrepreneur, this is a must read!
As the first book on Selling I’ve ever read, I found it to be a quick read. The tips, lessons, and stories contained in this book will open up skills that go well beyond making a sale. This book will help you understand how to communicate better, in all instances, if you’re open to being attentive and empathetic. Also the stories in here are great, would definitely recommend!
A new way to look into sales, more process driven and less talent old-school tricks. This is very useful for people who are introverted and don’t think that can sell.
I found this book to be easy to read an offered some good advice on sales. I recommend you read this book. The shared knowledge is good for more than just sales.
