Music was life. Fate had its own agenda. Was my past about to play on repeat?
HUNTER I had a plan. Live it up, make music, have a sell-out tour. But my girlfriend had other ideas. Kara wanted a baby. After losing our first child, going down that path again terrified me. The fear of loss had been embedded into my soul. Having to use a surrogate raised new concerns, the level of difficulty too great, the risk of failure too high. Doubts about our future hovered through my head, niggled at the back of my throat. What was that? I never get sick. Was it pressure? From her? My band? The fans? Myself, to make another number-one album? Music is my life. But what about Kara? A family? Is that what I want too? What tune would fate play for me? Am I ready to change the course of my life? Can I be all Kara needs? Or will I burn out in the process?

Have your kleenex ready! This book is another emotional, fantastic ride with Everhide! I could not put this down. You will laugh and love until the very end, only to cry again when you have to say good bye to the characters everyone has grown to love. This is an absolute must read for any fan of Everhide!
OMG what a book, from start to finish this book was just outstanding.
Hunter and Kara story was one filled with so many emotions, ups and downs. They have not been dealt an easy path in life and their struggles with leave you with tears in your eyes and true heartfelt sadness for them.
When the book hits about the halfway mark though things take a turn for the better, you will still have tears in your eyes but they will be tears of happiness.
While reading I was not ready to say goodbye to the Everhide group so I was very happy when I got to the end of the book and saw there is going to be more, this has got to be one of my favorite rock star series, this author never disappoints.
Oooh my what a read it's beautiful, sweet, sexy but especially Heartbreaking.
Get ready for tears, tears and yep more tears.
Kara still desperately wants a baby but will Hunter be on board after what they have been through, and if he is they will need to find a surrogate will they and even if they do will it all work out.
The book is stunning you just need to be prepared.
I couldn't put it down the feelings for me where so true and strong.
Its a defenite read. Follow and see what happens with Hunter and Kara and Everhide go for the ride.
Rewind, Price of Fate by Taniya Joyce has exceeded way beyond any of her previous books by being unquestionably amazing! I can’t praise it enough! I would give it 10 stars if it were possible. The storylines are gut-wrenching, and the character’s responses were emotion-ridden with pain that eventually became joy as the pages unfolded. The love scenes flamed hot as the motives and emotions ruling Hunter and Kara became clear even if they didn’t always share those feelings. A love story to make you ‘book drunk’. Kara’s and Hunter’s story will remain with you long after reading “the end”. This was an ARC issued in exchange for my honest review.
It is no secret I am a big fan of Tania Joyce. She just knows how to pull at your heartstrings. Hunter and Kara were my favorite couple they had endured so much. (Read Ruined you'll thank me later, actually read the whole series!) To see them once again go through so many obstacles and show that their true strength lies within eachother was absolutely beautiful. I won't add spoilers other than to say have at least 3 boxes of kleenex on hand! Tania Joyce you are a true storyteller thank you so much for this epic conclusion to a tremendous love story.
Enjoyable read catching up with Everhide and Hunter in particular. I felt bad for his health problems and could feel his anxiety in the way it was written. Kara’s parents are easy to despise. Mom’s an alcoholic and Dad is just a total ass! He deserves Hunter’s animosity. But Kara’s sister, Naomi, gave this worthy couple their dream come true. I had tears at their wedding and the end!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. One year on from Ryan’s death and Kara and Hunter are still grieving. Now is probably not a good time for her to mention she wants another baby. Hunter is recording new material but his voice gives out. Heartbreaking read that had me crying from the start. Have tissues and ice cream on hand.
Oh Tania Joyce you have done it again. This was everything I wanted for Hunter and Kara plus so much more! The emotional roller coaster it takes you on is exactly the right number of ups and downs.
I have always loved the emotional connection that Hunter and Kara found and they just continue to evolve in this book. Don’t get me wrong it is not all love and sunshine. The challenge and emotional turmoil is there but as you all know Tania is always going to give them their HEA. Sometime they just have to work harder to get it.
I could not put this down once I started reading it. Sorry to anyone who had to deal with me the next day with my book hangover but man was it worth it!
Hunter and Kara is an absolutely beautiful storyline that had me hooked from beginning to the end with plenty of heartfelt twists and turns of a roller coaster ride of emotions. The characters are engaging and well developed with plenty of chemistry throughout the pages.
I received a copy and am voluntary leaving my honest review.
Oh my gosh, I haven't been on a story emotional roller coaster in such a while! Thank you Ms. Joyce. I felt every moment of Hunt and Kara's highs and lows. I've cried, I've yelled and screamed at both of them at different waves throughout the entire book. I felt their presence deeply. Read it in just a few hours because I couldn't put it down! Can't wait for the next chapter in Everhide's journey!
There are no words for how much I love this book! Tears were shed, hearts broken, fears mounted then the stars aligned and Hunter and Kara have their HEA! This book is amazing. This is a must read series! Start it now!
In tears within the first few pages what an emotional start to a novel. You were preying for Hunter and Kara’s relationship to work out through the ups and downs of finding that one true love. A great read many tears shed up to the emotional end. Love prevails. Can’t wait for the reunion!
In the previous book Ruined, Kara had lost her child after only two days of life and now she wanted to move on and try again. Hunter on the other hand didn’t want to try again. He really never had wanted the first child and he had tried to convince Kara to terminate that pregnancy. I’m having a hard time with this story because it’s this obsession about having a baby. I don’t find this story romantic at all. I don’t care wether they get pregnant or not, I don’t care about them. Hunter was having major issues but the most important in his head was no sex, he’s ridiculously immature and I don’t know how Kara tolerates him. Things eventually settle and Hunter acts his age and they finally get it right. It has a happy ending. I’m giving this book four stars and recommend it to anyone who loves baby themed stories as this book will not disappoint.
This story was PHENOMENAL!!!. It was funny, sad, exciting, entertaining and again just WOW!!!. This series has been one hellva ride. Can't wait to read the next one!!!. Tania is a Fantastic storyteller and is a PHENOMENAL writer!!!!.
I was lucky to receive an ARC copy of Rewind: The Price Of Fate. The book is a continuation of Hunter and Kara's relationship. They have obstacles to overcome. The story is heartbreaking and I had tears in my eyes. Tania Joyce did an exceptional job on this book.
What amazing ending to Hunter & Kara’s love story! The heart breaks they went through& survived- very emotional book. Now to read the last one of the series- can’t wait!!!!!!
Words can't describe how I felt about this book, except it deserves many more stars than 5. Another Hunter and Kara book, and this one was better than the last and probably my favourite of the whole series. Too many desires are at battle in this book, impatience and stubbornness weigh in, and Hunter and Kara both struggle to make their dreams come true. Because things get worse and worse and worse until they're both on the brink of defeat. But when two people love each other, they can overcome anything once their partner gives them a kick up the butt to stop being so stubborn and fix the problem. Hunter's struggle and almost loss of his voice was heartwrenching, but never fear, everything turns out spectacularly well with a very beautiful ending.
This is not the book for people who don't like more than moderate drama, but if you want to cook with one hand and read with the other and run late for work, then go for it!
The best review I can give is one I have used only once before . I have just enjoyed the " H e double hockey sticks " out of this book. I love, love ,love Hunter. He is so interesting as a character. You must read this series if this is your favorite endulgence. Read enjoy rock on...
Wow, just wow! I’ve loved all the books in this series, but Hunter and Kara are my favorites. They went through so much and have come out on top. There were times when tears welled in my eyes And my emotions overtook me. Each character in this book was better than the next. I love how strong and supportive Naomi was. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
Wow this book has it all. It's full of love and tragedy. The getting ready for tour with life altering decisions and heartache but most of all love and support from their hand family.
Oh my this book has all the feels, happiness, sadness, love, and sorrow. I loved every minute of it!!!! Great book, highly recommend it you have got to read in order, great, great series!!!!!
Rewind is book #5 in the Everhide Rockstar Romance series and follows the couple we met in Ruined #2, Kara and Hunter which I thoroughly enjoyed.
This was another emotional read, (you may need tissues), Kara and Hunter have now been together for a year and things are going well until Kara decides she wants to try for a baby using a surrogate. Kara and Hunter's journey to becoming parents and at the same time following their dreams is full of ups and downs and plenty of struggles and drama.
I have to say, I found Kara slightly selfish and single-minded in Ruined, but she takes it up another level in Rewind and I found it hard to deal with. Yes, she wants a baby desperately, but she didn't take Hunter's thoughts or career into account at all instead she just didn't let up at him until he changed his mind and went the way she wanted to. Saying that I still very much enjoyed Rewind, and about halfway through Kara becomes a nicer person to deal with.
Hunter and his friends from Everhide are reaching new heights and they have the next two years of their career planned out, a new album and touring. I found Gemma seemed to flip-flop in her feelings about Hunter and the baby issue and seeing as Kara was one of her best friends I found her slightly lacking in support. Kyle, I loved, he was a good friend and supportive all the way through.
Hunter doesn't only have to deal with Kara wanting a baby, but also with having problems with his voice, something no lead singer would find easy to deal with. I really felt for him in this, though I did think he should have listened to the experts to start with, everyone has to make their own choices and mistakes and there were possible negative side effects with surgery so I could see where he was coming from.
I really enjoyed getting to know Kara's sister better and I thought the gift she gave to Kara and Hunter was something very special, and her husband for supporting that choice. Kara's parents are as toxic as they were previously and I didn't like them at all and I would have preferred a different ending when it came to their relationship with Kara, but maybe I'm just cynical.
Despite my issues with some of the characters' behaviours and choices, I really enjoyed reuniting with the Everhide family and enjoyed taking the emotional journey with Hunter and Kara especially after the struggles they had been through and overcome in the past. Theirs is a love that burned strong despite all their differences and they both needed to see what was important if they wanted to be together.
Thank you to Tania Joyce for a digital copy of this novel in return for an honest review.
Rewind- The Price of Fate Everhide Rockstar #5 Tania Joyce ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely beautiful, devastating, ugly cry with a side of humour. This really sums up Hunter and Kara. The pair share a tumultuous past, and everyday push towards their future. Rewind has everything, and fair warning you’ll be ugly crying from page one…! I was devastated for them, if I could have reached into the book I would have hugged them.
Still reeling from the death of their baby, Rewind starts 12 months on… at his grave on his anniversary ( I seriously just couldn’t). Kara is a shell of her former self, gone is the bubbly designer who dresses the Everhide rock group, she desperately wants another baby, and while Hunter wasn’t really onboard at the beginning the death of their little boy has scared his heart to. Hunter pours his hurt heart and soul into his music, relying on mates Gemma and Kyle to keep him sane!
Hunter wants a future with Kara but another baby? Could he really go through that hurt again? With Kara pushing for suragasy , Hunter must make the choice between forever with Kara and the roller coaster they’ll continue on, or walk away, but Kara is his forever so he bends to her wants… this is where everything literally falls apart, and the ugly crying begins.
I don’t think I’ve ever met a book couple with so many hurdles to jump. My heart literally hurt for them in a whole new level. It even last me hating some of the other characters for their responses and reactions to Hunter and Kara’s problems.
But never fear, Hunter and Kara are my favourite couple, that despite their worst moments the 2 really do come together! It’s not without many steps back before one forward, these two will stream up your pages, leave you laughing at there antics and cry with their despair! This story deserves 100 stars!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ is just not enough! If you haven’t joined the Everhide family do yourself a favour check out Tania Joyce’s series, trust me you won’t regret it!!!
Rewind: The Price of Fate by Tania Joyce, is a rockstar romance with emotional twists and turns that will keep you completely engaged. Hunter, Gemma, and Kyle are Everhide, a very talented rock-band. Kara, Gemma's best friend, is the band's stylist. Thanks to her keen eye for fashion, whatever Everhide wears becomes an instant moneymaker. Overtime, Kara and Hunter fall into lust and love.
Overcoming the loss of a baby, touring, multiple throat surgeries, miscarriage and overzealous fans, continuously test Kara and Hunter's love. Luckily they are able to work through their hardships and fall deeper into strength and love.
This was truly an emotional read, so you may want to keep some tissues handy. I loved the music and the unique friendships between the characters. Kara and Hunter are a hot couple, both in and out of the bedroom. Overall, Rewind is a well-written romance that you definitely want to add to your TBR list.
Well, in my opinion, this book focused too much on each issue the individuals in the relationship was dealing with ... that is, the overly intense desire to have a child immediately and the potential career ending problem ... and less with the relationship itself. I know that they kept saying they loved each other but somehow I didn't feel that there was that deep down commitment. It actually was a good read but didn't have the spark I was looking for. I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway for this honest review.
