When King Kyle Garro plunged off the cliff'a Back Bay Road and was lost to us forever, part'a me and my club died right along with' I'm.
He was the heir, but he was also the heart and soul'a our club and our family. Celebratin' his first birthday without 'im was gonna be damn near impossible to survive.
The dream'a every parent who ever suffered the tragedy'a losin' a kid, was holdin' that baby in their arms again.
I counted myself a lucky man, but I'd never hoped to dream for that. Until a man showed up at my cabin that mornin' and called me 'Dad.'
2.5 stars This is a short story about King's return to the Fallen after he faked his death to get his dad out of jail. I didn't really care for it cause it's not necessary to the overall plot. It was ok-ish, though very emotional. But the writing was too flowery so I ended up skimming most of it to be honest.
It's taking me a lifetime to form words after crying my eyes out. Literally. If you are a fan of Giana Darling's The Fallen Men series, you know you've been waiting for this story. The reunion. And it was everything I expected and so much more. Giana keeps making me fall in love with this unique crew of characters. Every. Single. Time.
It's great to be back in the Fallen world, it's great to see all these characters together again and to have King back where he belongs. Such an emotional and perfect way to reunite with the family. Guys, do not miss Fallen King for the world and read this beautiful short story about this beautiful family!
I feel like one of the ones who was meh about this. Yes I cried and was happy about kings returning from the dead.. but after reading Ink and Dead Man.. it was just not feeling it since we were already spoiled about king begins alive.. if that came out before the other 2 books yes it would have impact me differently. Also I'm kinda disappointed we didn't get any fights or punch because of the lie..yes I'm so happy HR and Zeus had their family back.. but I wanted to see atleast one brother not forgive him In this book for what he put them though...
“It was something like a privilege to die for the people you loved. To know your loss was worth something so much more than yourself.”
so good to be back in this world. ugh my babies how much i missed all of them. this was nostalgic and so fucking emotional. i got goosebumps from each chapter.
“For the first time in near on forty years, I was livin’ life afraid. Not free, like the motto of The Fallen declared, but chained in heavy fuckin’ irons by the terror that God or whatever power wasn’t done wreakin’ havoc on the life’a me and mine.” - Daddy Zeus.
Who knew a short novella could make my eyeballs flood with tears like it did. Dammit. I was taken back to when I first read this series and balled over certain scenes. This novella is how a character introduces themselves back to his club. His family.
Every Chapter is a different POV. We have Zeus, Cressida, HR, King.. all the character we know and love are in this.
We see the birth of Prince…. And I love Priest’s moment to shine in it all.
It just.. this novella… was such an important part on this series and we finally fucking god it.
This was such a cute novella following the events during after the fall. I loved to see different POVs from the Garro family and I'm truly excited for what's coming next.
This was the perfect novella for this series, the special bond and connection the Fallen Men family has is just everything. The amount of sacrifices they make to protect and care for their loved ones is just wow. This novella, when read with the series, will pull on your feels and make you cry. So emotional, so beautiful, so much love.
A perfect short story for any fan of Giana Darling’s FALLEN MEN. It was such an emotional read and I loved that Giana gave us multiple points of view - I think Chapter 2 had to be one of my favourites *ugly cries* I’m completely in love with all these characters and so invested in the whole FALLEN world. If Giana decided to never write anything else but more books in this series, I think I’d be extremely happy.
4.5 The Fallen King is a good conclusion of the King cliff scene where we last left off with him and Cressida in After The Fall.
After The Fall and what king did was emotionally hard to read because you feel bad for Cressida… insanely bad for Cressida ugh it still breaks my heart.
I’m a wife so I can’t even imagine my husband leaving me like that whether it’s to protect The Fallen or not. Cress finds King at the end of After The Fall and they hash out why he left and he did apologize. They love each other and she was half a soul without him. Of course she would forgive him just as the rest of The Fallen Family would.
This book is about King’s return home and his apology tour to his family and his men. Cressida also comes back to Entrance now pregnant and rejoins her posse.
There was a tad level of cheesiness and constant love declarations in the form of biker poetry in King’s POV. If you’ve read any of the other books you’ll know that’s to be expected.
This is sort of an epilogue so the love is constantly flowing and there was a bit of unrealistic aspects as with all of the books in The Fallen Men Series. If you care about accuracy and realistic plots, try to put it out of your mind when reading this series, I know I had to as some aspects are VERY repeat very unrealistic to the point they’ll make you laugh but you just go with it as this is an easy read if not a tad slow at times.
My heart 🥹 this just made me so happy to see all my favorites back together and HAPPY! This found family will forever be at the top of my list. Giana seriously just writes some of the best relationships. I am so sad this series is nearing the end for me. But these cute little novellas in between are everything! 🫶🏼
I will never tire of seeing all of my favorite characters. This novella made me cry and filled my heart with warmth at the same time. I love these books.
THIS NOVELLA!!! Damn. This was exactly what this series needed. Why this couldn’t have just been included in one of the books is beyond me, but I’m glad it came to fruition one way or another. I cannot say what it’s about without giving away a lot of things from other books, but it absolutely 100% should be read because it’s perfection. It’s the icing on the cake and the MF’ing cherry on top lol.
Fallen King was a novella within the Fallen Men MC series by Giana Darling. Although it was written out of order, it’s best read after book five, Nova’s book.
I loved this novella. It was a great follow up and quick read. It was emotional with all the “good feels” Darling could squeeze into one quick read! I totally can’t wait to read more in the series!
UGH - this short story was one of those things you never knew you needed until you got it. It was so cute! filled with so much emotion. Truly made me realize how much I love and miss the fallen MC.
Breaking my heart and putting it back together stronger and more beautiful. Literally cried through the entire 70 pages of this story, I’m not kidding. I’m sad this marks the end of my visit in Entrance (for now) but I’m happy it was with this book and that my babies got a happy ending.
I’ve been wondering why I’m so drawn to these books and the actual message of them. As a child to divorce I think these books healed my perception of romantic and domestic love. In a simple way that’s somehow equally complicated, they live like outlaws and love so purely, fiercely and *good*. There’s that message hidden in all 6 books that becomes more and more clear, it doesn’t matter where you come from, who you are or what you’ve done: if you love with your whole being and do good you are worthy of happiness. Crazy to think it took a bunch of biker men and babes to get that into my head.
It’s not an intellectual, groundbreaking or classical piece of literature but it’s warm and heady and perfect in its own way. It feels like home and away all wrapped up in one colossal book series.
Omg I hoped so hard we would get a reunion I have no words. It was PERFECT ! It was everything I hoped for and more As usual with the Fallen men, I cried so much, I was so happy to see them all again, it was so emotional
It was so beautiful!!! Even when it was so short, IT GAVE ME ALL THE FEELS!!! It's so good to dive back into the Fallen Men World. It's seriously one of the best WORLDS out there.
This was a really short reintroduction for King. A nice glimpse of all the past characters together for a homecoming they never knew was coming. It was nice, heart touching and had a lot of feels but I think this would have been better as part of a larger story arc.
