Evelyn Addams is fresh off a divorce and ready to kick up her heels. A fling with the sexy-as-hell Luc Morgenstern fits the bill perfectly.
Luc was supposed to be her rebound guy, nothing more than a second notch on her bedpost, but somewhere between the first night they met and the end of the summer, Evie did something she’d promised herself she wouldn’t do. She caught feelings.
Just when she thinks she’s worked up the courage to tell Luc how she feels and ask him to give their relationship a real chance, he drops a bombshell on her heart and fate follows suit. Will she overcome her fear and ask Luc to stay? Or will a match made in hell split them apart forever?
Match Made in Hell is an origin story novella in Eden Valley, a magical new paranormal women’s fiction series from USA Today Bestselling Author Amy Cissell, author of the Eleanor Morgan novels and the Oracle Bay series.
Match Made in Hell has romantic elements, but it is not a romance.
Amy Cissell is a USA Today Bestselling Author of urban fantasy and paranormal romance novels. She lives in Portland, OR with her husband, her haunted house-obsessed daughter, their two cats, and the murder of crows she's conspiring to turn into her vengeful army.
When she's not working or writing, she's sleeping because that's all she has time to do! There are few things Amy loves more than a well-timed pun, a good book, a glass of wine, and making calf eyes at Portugal when she thinks no one’s looking.
Although she reads anything and everything, her first love has always been fantasy. Eleven-year-old Amy discovered fantasy when she 'borrowed' her father's copy of The Hobbit and an enduring love affair (mostly with dragons) was born.
I really liked this book. Evie is married and some what happy, she thinks, but then walks into her home and finds her husband with another woman she has to reevaluate her life. Not liking what she sees Evie decides a divorce first and maybe a little fun next. When Evie has a summer fling she just wants to enjoy herself a bit but she starts to develop feelings. What will she do?
I normally read Award Books & Cozy Mysteries but decided to try something new in between books. The author of this book sent me this Novella (1st book in series) and I seen it was a Paranormal Romance, I'm 74 yrs old and said why not, only 65 pages, give it a try! This was one of the better books I've read lately! Great characters (The main character's 2 female friends has her back covered all the time and are funny), a bit of a mystery in the book and this is a great introduction to the series! You will likely want to read the next book in the series! 65 Pages, 2 Hr. read, what's to lose!!! David N.
I loved this novella! The characters are interesting and the story was very good! The friendship between Evie, Viv and Bev is such a strong component in the story. They are supportive of one another no matter what and their interactions add a bit of humor to lighten things up. This is a great setup for the first book in the series. It leaves you wanting/needing to know what happens next in Eden Valley.
Short and fun! Three girlfriends, families and a hot summer romance. This is a wonderful introduction to the Eden Valley series. The girlfriend friendship is so strong and supportive it made me want to be part of this group. I expect the series will have books that focus on each of the friends. This novella is mostly about Evie and her summer fling. I expect the first book will be about her too. I am really looking forward to it.
A fun short intro to the world of Viv, Bev and Evie. I'm really enjoying this town's quirks and it's sassy brunch team. Loved meeting Luc and learning about Evie and his history.
