Sadie Alden has received a threat, and it seems that she’s not the only one.
The people of Hallow Haven are growing increasingly concerned about a string of recent disappearances, fear is gripping the islands and Sadie needs to do something about it. With no apparent connection between the missing people, Sadie finds herself at a loss.
Sadie is soon keeping secrets of her own, and a late-night clandestine meeting threatens to change everything. With her guardian dodging her calls and her boyfriend off at work with another peacekeeper, Sadie might have to learn to defend herself.
To top it all off her shrink seems more interested in the pay-check than actually helping her out, but with a mind-reader for a best friend, does she really need to pay for therapy anyway?
It’s not even like she can get a good night’s sleep anymore, there is a new danger looming at sundown and it’s enough to make your blood run cold…
Mara Webb graduated from a child with a vivid imagination and a love of all things magic, to a professional writer. Mara writes cozy mysteries with a paranormal twist, and delights in concocting new and unusual ways to murder characters in her books.
Pretty good writing plus upping the degree of connections woven among separate mysteries kept me turning the pages in this book. A little more romance included this time around, but better than the usual, imo. Definitely worth a read-through if you’re into paranormal cozies!

Red Letter Witch is Book #7 in the Hallow Haven Witch Mysteries series and it can be read as standalone.
Sadie Alden, the resident peacekeeper, who also owns a beach side café on an island of Hallow Haven has received a threat; other people on the island also received these poison pen letters and people are disappearing. Sadie needs to get to the bottom of all these mysteries and find the solutions before it's too late.
This is a fun paranormal cozy mystery in a nice beautiful setting on island paradise, it is fast paced full of actions and keeps you guessing of what the next chapter will reveal. There are so much going on, it's a great page turning paranormal cozy mystery, good story line, entertaining, fun, full of mystery, paranormal, suspense, humor and romance.
I recommend this book to any paranormal cozy mystery fans. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Threats and premonitions of dread do not make for a restful sleep. No rest for the weary, our heroine has another mystery to solve.
This is book seven of the series, but it works just fine as a standalone.
This is a cozy witch mystery with a very nice tropical setting. Well, I say a nice setting, but there are a lot of murders here, so that does take the shine off of it a bit. The story is well written, easy to read with a heavy dose of mystery and intrigue. The characters are well developed and definitely the star of the show as they bring all the action, mystery and humor to the fore. And they just get better with each new book. The mystery is also a good one with enough twists and turns to keep the reader entertained. Overall, another great entry in the series and I look forward to seeing more.
Highly recommended.

More intertwined twisting stories in this book of mysteries with a side of romance. With the number of people who keep disappearing or being murdered, I am not sure that many people will be left in Hollow Haven. Sadie discovers more information about some of the citizens including her guardian and his brother. The psychiatrist, Gloria, seems to be involved in everyone's life and is not good about keeping some things secret that are supposed to be. Very interesting mysteries occurring alongside Sadie and Miller finally having some nice dates. Pretty well-written story.

In the 7th book of the HALLOW HAVEN WITCH MYSTERIES, Sadie has to make do without her guardian, as he is avoiding her. Trying to find out what keeps him away is part of the story. But there are also 5 missing people, which Mable and Miller try to solve, and threatening letters with runes that were sent to many people on the isles. Sadie needs to get back into the game and she does,. A typical Hallow Haven story, many - layered and ranging from entertaining, to suspenseful to absolutely funny. A good book for a day off to relax. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
In this one, I feel like we are starting to get more in-depth knowledge of how this world works and how the magic fits in, but it feels incomplete. For instance, we know there are vampires now, we know they are made, but it is really unclear as to how they are made. We know there is magic that will allow vampires out into the sun with frying, but it does not seem to be common knowledge.
While some of these aspects are important in this particular book in the series - I feel like they could become more important as the series continues.

There was a lot happening in this book. We find out about what’s going on with Ryder and his brother, Jared, and how Darcy plays into it all. There are people that are missing, people found dead, letters with runes sealed inside, all set to either an address that may or may not exist, or with a name spelled wrong. Is it one person doing this? Maybe two or three? Got to read the book!
Another interesting installment in the Hallow Haven series. Sadie’s guardian disappears on her for a while and she finally tracks him down and convinces him to talk to her but is frightened before they can talk and transports herself back to her house. She finally finds out what is going on and they are able to get back to work on the investigation into the missing people which they are finally able to figure out what happened. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.
There are some missing people. Gloria is a psychologist who has a radio program (although her advice really isn't that good.) The remodeling work on the house is not going well.
Ryder, meanwhile, might quit as her guardian. People in the town are getting some kind of threatening letters.
There's a major change for Ryder.
As usual, someone turns up dead.
I think the major thing in the book is what happened to Ryder which could be very important in the future.
Another mystery for Sadie and her friends, this time is poisoned letters and disappearing people. I love this series it has all the markers that I love in a story and then some.

I enjoy the stories but the errors drive me nuts. I think an author would know the difference between no and know, etc. I read a book, get so irritated that I stop, then later on read another. Some I've just stopped in the middle.
These are really cute stories and I am enjoying them but these books desperately need an editor. There way too many instances of incorrect word usage or verb tense. The further I get in the series, the worse it seems to be. I keep reading because I'm enjoying the stories, but it is distracting.
I love reading this wonderful series by author Mara Webb. Each book keeps getting better and better...I loved reading this wonderful book... Highly recommend reading this wonderful series of books...
