Bizarre True Crime Volume 1 is the first book in a series about "bizarre" true crimes. The idea is that the stories are all unique in some way, making them bizarre or shocking. Now I've read my share of true crime books, so I feel like it really does a lot to shock me.
The cool thing about this series is that it covers stories from different eras, countries, etc. So it's not just current/modern cases or even just US cases.
The stories were told in shorter "chapters," which made it easy to stay engaged. I wouldn't say any of these stories truly shocked me or disturbed me, but they were interesting to read nonetheless.

Mildly amusing

This TC anthology covers stories from all different countries and eras and thus should be interesting but frankly I was pretty bored. There were a few interesting stories but some cases were not about murder but just crime like that of the poisoned oak tree. This book wasn't my cup of tea so I won't be reading anymore of this series although the author does seem to be very intelligent and doing good things based on his short bio.

Fascinating stories!

This book is about many different crimes as well strange events which occurred all over the world at different times. If you like reading about odd or unusual occurrences and true crimes, then you will like this book. I highly recommend this to other true crime readers as well as people who enjoy reading about bizarre happenings.

This book was a super disappointment. I read this book in one day hoping that the next story would be better but I was let down story, after story, after story. This is one true crime volume series that I will not read anymore of the volumes.

Gripping, Shocking, and Unforgettable
This collection of true crime stories is more fascinating than any Ted Bundy retelling. From bizarre murders to chilling mysteries and unbelievable cons, each tale is stranger than fiction and impossible to put down. A must-read for true crime fans!

Intriguing book

Very interesting book, and will leave the reader quite intrigued. These cases are just as the title states, wacky and shocking.

Great read!

A great read full if true crime and even though some are bizarre, definitely worth a read. I'll definitely be reading on to the next book.

His later books are much more well-written. This first entry in the series feels clunky and padded.
