enjoyable but hard to stay involved in story.

As always this author provides an alternative to secular fiction. However I felt the stories were stretched out for volume.

I should get credit for reading 3 books, since it is 3 books in one. The stories were OK, but my problem with these books is that if you don't read all the way through to the last book, you don't get.
the whole story. This was true of another one of her series, which I don't remember the name of, but it had to do with a buggy accident, but if you didn't read through to book 3 you didn't know who caused the accident. I don't know why I bought this book, but I'll think twice about buying anymore of her books. There is more to these stories than just Hope, Forgiving and Healing. Who is Sara's father? If you don't read to book 3 you'll never know.

Wholesome read

I loved this trilogy a ton. This follow 3 women who each have their own strugggles and ways of having faith in God. Each one finds a jar somewhere on the Lapps' property. In these jars, they're are slips of paper that have prayers and bible verses written on them.

I found Michelle's story to be the saddest. The way that her parents trated her and her brother was so horrible. I don't agree with the way Michelle handled things when she was first living with the Lapps, but, it all ended up ok at the end.

I also loved the friendships that developed between the three women in this. Even though Michelle and Sara started off on a bad footing, they did become friends in the end and I liked that.

I had a feeling early on that Herschel was Sara's father. There were a few hints leading up to that reveal.

All in all, I give this whole trilogy 5 stars. A must read for anyone who loves Amish fiction.
