Lie.

This book claims to be “book 4” in the Lost Ones series. It’s not. It’s the first 3 books over again just crammed into another book. Book 3 was left hanging. You really expect a book 4 and get all excited and then NOPE. Cant help but feel them adding “book 4” on the title was done on purpose. Pretty slimy I have to say. Very disappointing.

Started so good, but left me disappointed

I LOVED book one. I loved the concept of the series. However, after book one there was little to no relationship/ character development. By the time I was half way through book three, I didn’t even feel like I was reading the same series. Boom 2 and book three, plot wise, are very wham bam thank you ma’am…which is ironic since there are no adult scenes In either book. I had to force myself to finish book three because I just didn’t care about the characters anymore. Which is sad, I loved the main group in book one, I loved the side characters in book 2. It jest needs something to tie the, all back together.

I feel like there could be sooo much more written inbetween the action plot. It seems like story got condensed to keep action flow.

Story started as emotional one ehere Sage was a girl without anyone to rely on and one to be whose live was just one horrible thing after another... We saw a strong girl who just wanted someone in her live to be able to lean on... BUT at some point all the insecurities and deep emotional things got forgotten... Somehow the two tattoos she got imprinted on were never mentioned to her bonded. We never got to know about guys tattoos [as they also got some.. ] By the third book all their baggage is just brushed aside used as if it's part of decription of their personality.

Also what happened with Brent and his father and the nasty doctor? I think author could just killed them off when guys found Sage and Erin [or even make it a sweet revenge while they were running out of the werehouse].

Hopefully there will be some more books based in the world of Centers and their Bonded. Too many things were unaswered and I hope we will be able to see Demons and Fae academies.

P.S.
I love:
-addition of 2 familliars, Knot and Ghost are great and love how they support each other and how Knot acts as mentor
-that the centers can be any gender as well any sexuality
-world building , it's already well developed, but i love that it have unlimited potential/possibilities
-that characters don't do stupid sh*t as to 'I need to do it alone to not let other get hurt' ; keeping things things from each other for no good reason,
-characters actually trust each other and work together as team

I really didn't want to have another book on my DNF list so soon but I just couldn't with this. I made it through book 1 (painfully) but just couldn't continue. This book was just awful. I'm conflicted because the premise, as always seems to be the case, had SO MUCH potential but the author's writing style, character development, and pacing was dreadful. The FMC is written with so much discord. She's weak and a victim of abuse; she's a badass, assassin-trained fighter who doesn't take shit from anyone. Which is it? She's a timid loner who has no friends; she's a saucy sex kitten who seduces these random hot dudes that appear in her life. "Trust no man.... oh but these guys are different. I just know." It makes no sense. I'm fine with conflicting thoughts. We all have them. This was different. It was like the author couldn't decide how to write the FMC so she just said "Fuck it! Let's check all the boxes!". Abuse? Check. Super-powerful? Check. Misunderstood outcast? Check check. You get the point. The guys are written pretty lamely as well. They have a lot of trauma which we get the tip of the iceberg about but ultimately they're interchangeable and irrelevant. They insta-love her thanks to the bond, and a part of me can excuse that since it's a semi-valid reason, but it's boring. It's written boring. There's no passion. There's no connection. There's no real intimacy shared.

Overall: 1.6/5 - I spent 95% of the first book wanting out. I only finished it because I was desperately trying to not add another book to my DNF list. I clearly failed. No clue why this series was rated so high.

With a solid editor this author could be amazing.

I love this author... That being said, if I ever had the chance- I would punch the editor in the face.
Totally into the way the characters think and narrate, interesting plot, supportive significant others... Like all of the things that make you love and trust an author. On point potential in both of her series.
But I spent a lot of time editing the flow in my head due to simple mistakes and weird comma placements.
Legitimately, for any other author/story I would have trashed it, and that would have been a shame because I really enjoyed both of her series and look forward to whatever book she releases next but if I see an errant comma over the next few days I might have a panic attack.
Oh, and I do understand the author is from across the pond so the random bits and bobs that don't line up as something we actually say in the US even tho that's where the stories take place don't bother me at all- that's not what I'm referring to in my little rant.

Has potential, needs editing!!!

This is a fascinating story, with really cool characters and world. But oh my goddess the run on sentences with no puncuation and several thoughts in one sentence and all the characters talk like they've never had to pause for air. See what I mean? And don't try to sell me that B. S. about it being "British English", either. The Brits use the exact same punctuation protocols as the Americans. Those are my thoughts on mechanics. Interestingly, there are minimal misspellings! None, actually. So, well done!

I like our main character, Sage. I adore her interactions with the goddess, Nyx as well as her Bonded mates and Warriors. I don't want to spoil any surprises, so if you can tolerate all the awful run on sentences this is a fun series to read. Light-hearted, fun-loving, and entirely bada$$, these characters will invade your brain and wreak havoc. But in the best way!

7/10 unicorns, could be 9 if edited! Leave me a message if you want to hire me.

DNF @72%

Authors, is there like a base that u build from that is all the same for books? that you have to add all the same cheeseball meetcutes and space fillers? Im talking about the run into a wall, and it's actually one of the men/boys. Im talking about the dancing when you think no one is watching, and then they turn around and boom, they are standing there staring. Why have romance books not advanced from 90s rom com films? Why are they all the same?

There are a lot of plot holes with this book. The MC is stupid, and it's played out in a weird order.

Recommend? No, and i won't be reading the rest.
It's only good for people who aren't addicted to books.

Very slow burn but plot carries it well.

This really isn't a trilogy per se. It kind of concludes one part of the story but really it's more of a prelude to the big picture. It's good as long as you ignore the endless number of typos. The editor definitely needs a senior editor to follow up and edit the whole story. I feel like English is not the writer's first language. Only because the typos are words that sound alike but have different meanings and grammatical issues. Other than that, I enjoyed the storyline and look forward to the next chapter of these guy's story!

Great Story, but

I have truly loved the story in this series. Full of mystery, love, drama and action, it Kris you on the edge wishing it would hurry up and hoping it takes it’s time to reveal the next challenge.
With all of that being said, the punctuation is horrible, making it hard to read it without having to back up and figure out what is actually being said. In many places it feels like the story was written in another language and translated to English.
Irregardless, it is definitely worth the read despite the frustration.

Holy hotness Batman!

Please please tell me there's more coming soon!!!! This has been a long awaited story. But I know it can't end like this. The Goddess has more planned. The only distraction comes from a few misspelled or incorrect wording. And ok some grammar. I had already read the first two when I saw this three pack and couldn't miss the chance to also refresh my memory. The author's loyal fans have already read these so I say You Should too!

Don't really know how to feel....

I really loved and enjoyed the story but I'm left with so many unanswered questions. What happened back at the other academy when they left? What's up with Rebecca and her bonded? Who killed Monty? What's up with the order after the escape? Like I said so many unanswered questions. But overall I love the characters. Absolutely adore Sage and Erin.

Fantastic series so far

I've given it 4 and it's not the book it's all the spelling and grammar mistakes. Now I don't usually do it but there have been at least 10 probably more. Also putting to instead of too a lot as well. It needs editing again.

But grammar and spelling mistakes aside it's a fantastic read. It's grabbed me from the start and I've not been able to put it down.

Mixed

I loved the story, it grabbed me and keep me interested. The characters were great and easy to love. However, the author used the word whilst a lot and it did not fit in with the rest of the book and became really annoying. Also the ending totally sucked. There were so many issues unresolved you could fill at least two or three more books just to resolve them. I hate loose ends and this book has a lot of them. It's a good read with a incomplete ending.

Editor should be fired

I liked the storyline and the characters. It’s only because of that that I finished. The author leaves the door open to continue the story, which is good because there are so many lose ends.
However, and this is a BIG thing, the editing is a dumpster fire. They’re (they are) is used in lieu of their numerous times. ‘s is used throughout the 3 books to make nouns plural. It is a disaster. It completely took away from the joy of reading the story.

While the story is good, its got its flaws

I loved the story but you have many grammatical errors and storyline issues. It took forever to get through three weeks. On top of that, you built up questions that you never answered and left her hanging in the one place she should've found grounding on which is her parents.

So much tell, not show.

Everything moves WAY to fast. This is worse than insta-love, this just has zero plot development. Author constantly has the main character talking to the reader, there's so much inner commentary on the characters own thoughts I literally want to smack someone. There's also significant editing issues in the first 4%. DNF

Wow, what a series!

I love the world building in this series. The relationships that Sage has with her guys and how she accepts them and loves them each for their own values. I also really live the friendship made along the journey. There are tense moments and gripping times when I was on the edge of my seat. Couldn't put it down.

Good storyline

There is a good storyline here but I can only give it three stars. I commend the author on her hard work in creating and publishing this story however I struggled with getting through it.
There are a lot of the story that is left unfinished but there are times that things are unnecessaryly repeated.

Good story, terrible proofreading

I barely tolerated the frequent errors - grammar, spelling, malapropisms, comma & apostrophe abuse. But the story & characters were good enough to power through.

Was very good...good plot...I found only a couple of words not spelled correctly...It also says it's a "trilogy' but seems to leaves the ending as if there is going to be to another...just my thinking...Guess it was so good I didn't want it to end!!

Good

The overall plot is very good. Unfortunately parts of the. Story are stilted and don't flow smoothly. It just seems like the author was trying too hard, as a result she left things out.

A chore to read -

I am shocked this has such high reviews. The grammar and punctuation is horrible and the writing is average, at best. I didn’t not enjoy this at all, couldn’t even force myself to finish it.

Loving the series so far, looking forward to the next installment, a few grammar errors, needs another proof reading to correct, but it didn’t bother me, or distract me from the good story line.
