STORY:
What in the backwoods, paranormal soap opera, drama upon drama did I just read? I have to say, when I started this book I prejudged a bit by the first few chapters that it might be an ok read. However, I don’t know what roller coaster ride I got on, but I’m glad I’m on it. Now, this story became wild and outlandish but in a good way. It was like watching juicy gossip amongst neighbors played out in the neighborhood.

Ro was your typical teenager and Wrex was a typical biker in a MC. Both characters added to my enjoyment with each chapter of the story as it progresses. Once Ro was bitten, all hell broke loose. It was non stop of so many different components unfolding within this story. It seems as though so many things were going on, but it worked for this story. I love that we had shifters, action and some violence. I would say the MC world and shifter world were equally at play, but what was going on with Ro and Wrex dominated in a good way.



SEXUAL CHEMISTRY:
Sex scenes were good. It had an urgent intensity to it and played a big part in Ro being bit. I will only say this (it’s my inner whore breaking out feel free to ignore her) I wanted more sex scenes. Even some that would be a little longer. I thought the chemistry between the main characters were amazing, so could have gotten more.



SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
I really liked Locus’ personality. Ro’s best friend and Wrex’s younger sister. Six was interesting. He was the Prez for the Dark Leopards MC. There were so many more secondary characters that I would like to say but don’t want to give anything away:

I personally enjoyed this story, as it sparks my interest to read the next book in the series.

An age gap biker shifter read that you'll be hooked on. Romilly and Wrex have this connection with lots of chemistry. Their story starts one way and ends in another way. All kinds of things happening in this one. There's action, some suspense, a couple of secrets, twists and turns. This is a fantastic read. I really enjoyed this book.

Nine by Morgan Jane Mitchell is book 1 of the Dark Leopards MC South Texas…and is the engrossing story of Wrex and Romilly/Nine. Romilly’s best friend asks her brother to help protect Romilly. He agrees. But, this story is so far out in left field….NOTHING is expected or can be anticipated!!! I LOVED everything about this read!!!

The characters were well-drawn, the story was full of shocks, twists, turns….and EVERYTHING was completely unexpected!!! Absolutely fabulous read!!!

This checked all my boxes for a good read-biker romance, age gap and paranormal. This is a story about Romilly and her starting college early and not knowing anything about the shifter world she is thrust into with one fateful night. Wrex, her best friend and dorm mate’s brother, saves Rom from a date gone wrong. They have this undeniable chemistry but Wrex puts the brakes on every time you turn around. Will they finally be a couple? After Romilly changes she inherits a super power that comes in handy, but is a curse at the same time. Mitchell has created successful characters with Wrex, Nine, and Locus. This was an easy, rather quick read because I just flipped right through it.

About the book:
Ro/Nine and Locus are best friends who attend College together. On break, Ro has Locus cover for her so she can go on a trip with a guy she has been crushing on. Locus goes her separate way with a group of girls to the beach. Things will never be the same for the two women.

Wrex is a good looking, jealous, yet loyal, brother and friend. When his sister Locus asks him to watch out for Nine, Wrex does just that.

There were some errors, but that did not distract from the story. I only would have liked to see the story not so rushed.

Nine lives may quickly pass and each seems to bring love sickness.

This was not your average story of a saviour who does every little thing right.
I found myself irritated by Wrex multiple times but the truth makes it easier to swallow.
An interesting shifter story which changes all the rules you thought you knew.

I really and still couldn’t get enough of how the author wrote this story as it was action packed and had some killer surprises along the way. Plus I had a feeling going into this story that the age gap and best friends brother was just the cherry on top to see how awesome Wrex and Nine’s taboo relationship was just gonna be and I wasn’t disappointed. This is a Shifters Dark Leopards MC mating for Romilly and Wrex. That is one way to find out your father has a secret and do to one crazy guy you find out the hard way about that bloodline secret. I love that this an insta-love,age-gap,shifter book. The characters are really great and tell a good story line.
Ro doesn’t know that shifters exist , so when she is bitten by one, she doesn’t understand. Enter her best friends brother(father), he is a Lyon shifter and is trying to ignore the call of Ros cat.
There is danger , death and family reunions, but most of all there is understanding and growing love between Ro and Wrex.
Let the story lines continue and hold on its a great ride.

This was my first read by the author and it was a good read. Romily life is turned upside down when she stumbles in another world filled with shifters. What started as a highly anticipated night turns to horror and it doesn’t stop there. A fast pace storyline with a lot of action with an age gap biker hottie will take you in an emotional ride with a HEA. I can’t wait for more of this series.

Too much narrative and author living inside the mind of the characters instead of the characters actually doing or saying something.
Dialogue should be a key part of a novel.
