My life was ordinary. I was going to college and trying to figure out what I wanted to do in life. Then my mom disappeared without a trace. And I ended up going through a portal to another realm.
A realm where deals were currency and four Fae Warriors ruled everything. I could help them find what they were looking for, and they could help me find my mom.
A deal seemed like the best idea.
Until I found out nothing I thought I knew about my life was real. And keeping the four of them for myself became the most important thing to me.
Author note: This is a Why Choose full-length novel, meaning the female main character will not have to choose between guys. It has multiple POVs and overprotective men. Medium burn. It is book one in a series of four books—no Cliffhanger in book 1.
I really enjoyed this book. It follows Brook, a college aged woman who has a love of mythology as she discovers she’s more a part of that world than she could have ever imagined. Throw in four sexy as sin Fae warriors and some sizzling chemistry and we’ve got ourselves a hot RH. Really loved the sexual tension, the mystery surrounding Brooks origins and destiny. Loved how Samatha and her mum fit into the future storyline and supernatural world. Looking forward to book 2!
Interesting story, poor execution. It's in desperate need of an editor, I reckon with some help it could be a decent read. Just a few cliches of silly heroines that were annoying, she doesn't know how to fight or protect herself but she's all set to save her mom. I did give it a go till 80% but the poor decisions and lack of editing started to really grate.
4.5/5 This review is for the newly edited 2022 version.
Creation was a great first book in a completed fantasy trilogy. It had a bit of a slower start, but once the action began picking up and I grew comfortable with the FMC, I got sucked in and was surprised when I came to the ending. There are several twists that maintain the excitement and I loved the multiple 1st person POVs.
I’d classify this as a medium-burn romance. There are soul/fated mates elements that cause the FMC to be drawn to the four male fae warriors, and they to her. Some very minor MM interactions (kissing).
Overall, I enjoyed this book and am committed to finding out how the trilogy ends. Bonus: there are crossover characters from another completed series, some of whom will be showing up in a series to be released soon.
This book was so interesting. It was very fast paced and sometimes I felt like an event needed more attention than it got, but it also worked really well. Nothing felt like it was being crammed into my face. The men are all very unique (the whole story is off the charts out of this world - it's a mash up of so many different things and that's what has made me love this). Brook is sarcastic and so much fun. There were situations between the men and her that had me laughing so much. Marshmallow and Appolo being my two favorite. If you know you know 😉 I'm hoping this book gets blown up on BookTok and hopefully we can all spread the word. I truly enjoyed the world(s), the relationship developments, seeing all of them working together and I'm adoring the mystery surrounding this whole plot. Read the book, guys 🤗
This is one of those books that I don’t know why I didn’t read it sooner. After the first few pages, it sucked me in and kept me engaged the whole time. There was not a single character or thing that I didn’t enjoy reading about. There is a strong female lead in this named Brook. She stumbles through a portal into a fae realm, where she slowly finds out hidden secrets about who she truly is while trying to find her mom. She also meets her group of men while in the fae realm. Each male character has a different and intriguing personality. I am excited to read the next book to discover where this all goes with Brook and her men that are looking for answers.
This book flowed so smoothly and quickly and I enjoyed it.
I liked Brook, she has room for growth and character development and I specially like she is not shy or embarrassed about the sex topic as well as her sass.
I like the MMCs although Im expecting more connection between them and Brook and more information about them.
The plot is still a little unclear but it has potential.
This book was a little predictable and generic but I started reading this series knowing it, so I still enjoyed it.
Im hoping there’s more magic and training for Brook and more depth to the relationships.
2 stars for me. It's just... OK. I forced myself to finish this book, I had two or three crisis reading it. The FMC seemed to me a childish brat at first, her contempt towards books, history or museums when she is studying mithology at college is super logical (hehe no), but I tried to continue in spite of. None of the characters were remarkable, they just were. I didn't specially like or dislike them, and maybe indifference is worse in this case. I didn't believe any of the relationships , neither between the FMC and the guys or her bestfriend, or her mom. I won't continue this series.
This was a good read by AJ Moran. It’s a good why choose paranormal romance.
💜 college age FMC 💜 why choose 💜paranormal romance 💜 🌶🌶🌶 spicy time
We meet Brook, a college age student, at her house talking with her best friend about college courses. She is close with her mom and goes to check in with her at the museum where her mom works. And things start to happen fairly quickly within the story after that and her world quickly turns on its head.
I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the next one in the series. This book does end on a cliffhanger.
The plot is pretty good, but the writing is rather bland. The sentences are chunky and awkward, and the dialogue is stilted. Don't know if I find any of the character growth (the little that there is) believable. It's a fun read if you don't want to think too much, and I'll finish the series out of curiosity because, as mentioned, the idea for the plot is interesting, but the execution could be much better.
I enjoyed this. The plot it a bit heavy handed, but the mystery behind it keeps things moving. I did notice at least 2 times when Brook knew things she shouldn’t at that moment, fifth, sister, etc - but I wonder if the reveal scenes were deleted in edit, or if I just missed them.
That said, it’s a fair story that was entertaining. Medium burn. PNR RH, 1f4m. A to be continued ending, not cliff.
I absolutely love Brooke, she is a fierce one with a lot of sass. I also had instant love with Kellan and I gradually fell in love with the other guys. This book had a little bit of comedy to it and spice, the best thing was the plot. It has a strong one that I look forward to uncovering in the remainder of the series.
I had this book in my TBR list for some time and now I really regret I didnt read it earlier. I had so much fun and I love Brook so much . She is a fighter , she knows what she wants and she gets it. The way she tamed the warriors was pricelless and the plot is sooo interesting. I can't wait to read more. Totally recommend to anyone aged 18+.
I’m in awe of how much emotion and drama there is in every word. I can tell from the beginning that I would be sucked into the whole experience of this story line and how everything is unexpectedly handled by every person and how much I want to read more.
Fun characters & storyline, and good sexy bits! However the writing is somewhat stilted at times, and there were more than a few words and bits of punctuation in the wrong place. The inconsistent tenses can also be a bit challenging!
Great story, beautifully written as usual by A.J. Moran. I love reading about the fae and her writing made the different worlds come alive. Can’t wait to start the next book in the Fae Warriors series!
Hot Deals Mystery, intrigue, deals, 4 hot guys you're immediately drawn to Brook and this story. You won't want to put it down! What will happen if things become more than a deal?
I picked this ebook up free on Amazon and I enjoyed it I really liked Brook and the way she was written the plot kept me interested and at some point I will pick the next book in the series up
Loved this book, when I was not expecting much of it. It begins a bit slow when you follow a student that is a bit to attached to her mom without a good reason. Then the real story starts with the search of the stones, her mom and a bit of her self. I am curious about book 2.
This was an okay read. Nothing new/ exciting but still quite enjoyable. Plenty of spice. Typos here and there bothered me more than it should so I'm not continuing this series.
