To Have and To Hold #3

Stolen: Dante's Vow

Rate this book
Five years.
That’s how long it took me to find her.

Five years after my world shattered, leaving me a scarred and broken man.

By then, the girl I knew was gone. In her place stood a woman. One who looked like an angel. An impossible, beautiful angel.

I killed for her. Soaked my hands in the blood of those who hurt her and rescued her from hell.

But hell has a way of following you. Becoming a part of you. Maybe the only part you recognize.

I had every intention of bringing her home. Setting her free.
I swear I did.

But the men who kidnapped her all those years ago weren’t done with her yet. They’d stop at nothing to get her back. And I’d kill any man who tried to take her from me.

She calls me her avenging angel.
But I know the truth.
I’m no angel.

Because even as I tell myself I’m protecting her I know one thing for sure.

I am a monster, too. No better than them.
Because just like them, I’ll never let her go .

Author's note: Stolen is Dante Grigori's story and although a standalone, would be better enjoyed after reading With This Ring and I Thee Take.

Told in dual POV, 1st person, it’s not cliffy. This story is the spin-off of the "To Have And To Hold" duet and even though it can be read as a standalone but I think you would enjoy it more if you read the duet first. The story is about Dante (Cristiano’s brother) and takes place five years after that duet. Five years of looking for Mara who was missing and assuming dead for almost 15 years. In these years Mara lost her hope to be saved, to find peace and solace. She thinks everyone’s dead and when she sees Dante she doesn’t want to believe Because Dante would never have let what happened to me happen. The story is a bit angsty, a bit dark, and fast-paced. Overall, I had a good time reading it and hope you enjoy it as well!

I’m here now, Mara. And I may not be the boy you remember, but I am the man you’ll come to know. The man who will destroy your demons.”

I feel like I've been waiting for this story forever! The second that Dante appeared in With This Ring, I was intrigued. And when the revelations in I Thee Take happened, well, let's just say I was damn near salivating for this story. When I saw Natasha post a teaser about writing Dante's book, I was pretty much rabid in my need to get my hands on it. So is it any surprise that the second it landed on my kindle, I devoured it in one sitting? I think not.
I can’t have her. So much has been stolen from her already. I won’t steal a love I don’t deserve.

I highly recommend that you read the To Have and To Hold duet prior to this book. There's a lot of overarching story arc that really sets the stage for this story. And while you can technically still enjoy this as a standalone, some of the big nuances may be missed on you if you do.

We met Dante's brother in that duet and we learn quite a bit about the brother's family and history. We get to know their years long vendetta for the gruesome death of their family. But at the end of the duet we learn that the woman that they thought died all those years along with their family, may not have. Stolen actually takes place five years after I Thee Take.

Dante has been tirelessly searching for Mara, who has been barely surviving her captivity to a monster all of these years. Sold into sexual slavery, she made a deal with her owner five years ago to save Dante's brother's woman. And it cost her. The book starts off pretty much right away with her rescue and the aftereffects of what she's been through.

I loved Mara. She's a fighter and a survivor, no matter the hell she's been through the past 15 years. She may have grew up with Dante the boy, but she doesn't recognize the man, and their connection takes a while to reestablish. I loved watching this ruthless killer handle this woman like she's made of spun glass. He was her fiercest protector, even if that protection was against himself.

I'm not sure why I thought this was a duet when it's a standalone. But a part of me kept thinking that I would have loved this to be a bit longer. I would have liked to get a bit more fleshing out with things at the end. But as it was, I still devoured it and loved every page. The connection between Mara and Dante was years long in the making. There's a deliciously complex secondary character who gets introduced and I'm already hoping we get his story next, because DAMN.

But if you're looking for a gritty mafia romance read, look no further. Knight delivers as always with packing a story full of emotion, darkness, and steam.

Dante, the scarred and broken man, on whose shoulders the guilty for what happened to his family weighs,  has spent the last five years looking for the girl he couldn't protect.
When he finds her, he have to face not a girl, but a woman who has been through hell.

Mara doesn’t know anymore how is living without the constant fear; she is broken and she can’t trust anyone.... but Dante makes her feels alive and safe for the first time.

The relationship between the two of them is not an easy one: both have suffer so much.... but there's a bond, a connection that can’t been severed.

"𝑾𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒌𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆. 𝑻𝒐𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓."

I knew Dante and Mara' story would have been amazing but it turns out it's even more that  i could ever expected 😍😍😍

The story is fast paced with so many twist and turns that keep you glued to its pages;
emotions so raw, deep and painful that you can feel almost as it was yours.

I loved Dante so damn much!!
He is so different from Cristiano: more violent, more closed off...
The way he avenged Mara.... he made me fall madly for him 😍
And Mara is his perfect match: no matter what she endured, she let her feelings for him run free, she trust him in a way that made my heart clench.

Natasha Knight orchestrated every detail such in a masterly way ( even the crossover 😍) that the story  comes out flawless and captivating.

I think this is one of her best works and it says a lot since I loved everything she wrote so far....

“Because tonight is the beginning of their end. Tonight, I take back what they stole."

Since finishing the To Have and to Hold Duet (With This Ring and I Thee Take) a few weeks ago, I have been straight up salivating for Dante’s story. I will say, you really do need to read this whole series in order to get the big picture here. While the duet focused on Cristiano and Scarlett’s story, all three books deal with the overarching plot line of Cristiano and Dante’s family’s brutal murder and the vendetta against their family.

Dante almost died at the end of I Thee Take, and is sporting a scar on his face and an eye patch. Mara was presumed dead for 15 of the last 20 years. But she made a deal with the Devil five years ago in order to save someone close to her, and she’s been paying for it ever since. Since learning of this, Dante has dedicated his life to finding the girl he once knew.

“I knew you before,” he continues. “A long time ago. I used to bandage your knees when you cut them. Tie your shoelaces.”

Mara’s story was a difficult one to stomach at times. Since the time she was kidnapped, she’s been raped, abused, tortured, forced into sexual slavery... She has no hope and has lost the ability to expect anything good out of life.

"She looks like a doll. An angel. Fucking beautiful. A sleeping angel who has woken up to a nightmare every fucking day for the last fifteen years of her life.”

Mara is a fighter and a survivor and she’s not about to just trust some guy who shows up out of the blue and tells her that he’s the friend she knew and loved as a girl. No matter how familiar he feels to her. So she fights against him tooth and nail.

“I won’t hurt you, Mara. And I won’t let anyone else hurt you again.”

I love a good healing trope and this story definitely had it. I so loved Dante’s struggle against his newfound feelings for grown up Mara combined with his fiercely protective nature over her and his plight to help her make up for all the years she’s lost.

There were A LOT of players who had huge roles in this book and a lot went down. With that being said, I really felt like there wasn’t enough page time spent on Dante and Mara and the emotional aspects of them coming together and their relationship. I needed more here.

There are some extremely interesting characters introduced in this book and I hope like hell they all get their own books. I was already wanting a Noah story, but now I need one for Jericho St. James and Drake Gray as well!!

This is an explosive dark, mafia romance that hits the ground running. It’s fast-paced and action packed. Overall, I really liked it and am hoping to see WAY more from this series like ASAP!!

“Only monsters enjoy the feel of blood on their hands.”
He snorts, one side of his mouth curves momentarily upward. “I never said I wasn’t one. But I’m not your monster.”

Stolen: Dante's Vow by Natasha Knight was another powerful 5 star read that I could not devour fast enough! Dante and Mara were intense, sexy and so addicting. I loved the connection between them and how consumed Dante was with Mara and saving her. This story is dark but there is an underlying feeling of hope as a result of the intense bond and history that Dante and Mara share. I loved this story so much!

While Stolen is a standalone, it is best read after the To Have and To Hold Duet . Without giving the story away, Dante Grigori has finally located Mara and will stop at nothing to avenge the wrongs done to her. This book was a non-stop adrenaline ride from the get go. I was glued to EVERY page and could not stop reading. I was so OBSESSED with Dante and the palpable and sizzling sexual tension between him and Mara that my head spun! Believe me when I say that every page will consume you!

Overall, this book completely blew my mind! It was raw, powerful and another incredible and emotional read from the Queen of Mafia Romance!! Natasha Knight did it again and then some! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula ❤

"Because tonight is the beginning of their end. Tonight, I take back what they stole."

This book is DARK but I really enjoyed it a lot. Ever since I read the "To Have and to Hold" duet, I was anxious to find out whether Mara would be brought safely back home. It took Dante five whole years to find her after they discovered that she was still alive but miserable with her Russian "buyer".

"I watch them but what I want to do is look at him. Because I feel him looking at me. And I know him."

So, this is Dante Grigori's story of getting the innocent little girl who had a crush on him back to the safety of her home with her grandmother. Mara was Dante's little sister's bestfriend but a tragic incident made Dante & Cristiano lose their entire family before their eyes. Elizabeth (Dante & Cristiano's little sister) was supposed to be taken away but the kidnappers mistook Mara for Lizze and took her when she was just five years old.

"I won’t hurt her. Ever. And whether she likes it or not, I’m hers now. Her protector. Her monster. The one who will slay all the other monsters in her world."

For fifteen years, Mara remained in their captivity spending her life in constant torture untill Dante finally got a whiff of her location and rescued her from the hell she was put through. He truly was her protector in every sense. He never treated her as if she was fragile or damaged, instead he always cared for her. He wasn't a good man per se but when it came to her, he was always so gentle and careful.

"He was always different to me. Special. I didn’t understand it then but now that he’s back in my life, now that we’re older, I get it. Dante and I are destined to be together. Like our souls are linked. We belong together."

Dante & Mara's story was painful but together, they overcame her past and I'm glad that her culprits got the fate they deserved (all thanks to Dante and his consultants). It was really nice to see Scarlett, Cristiano, Noah and especially Cereberus again and getting a glimpse at their life. Overall, the book was brilliantly plotted with a big revelation near the end and it made me want to eagerly know what would happen next, because of which I couldn't even decipher when it ended. But, I'm glad that Mara finally got her peace and found her happily ever after with the only man whom she loved right from the start!

No one rips my heart out and sets it aflame quite like Natasha Knight, and Stolen is her most breath-taking fete of storytelling to date. Dark, bold, grippingly intense, and so very emotionally rich- this is a story not to be missed. Captivating from start to finish- dark romance at its finest! I could not put it down!

Ever since the Unholy Union duet, I was desperate for Dante’s story- to dig into the heart of the man And whose identity was shattered by a lie, whose sacrifices forever changed his body and mind. The man on a quest to find the girl he thought was dead, the man whose sister died in her stead. And Natasha Knight delivers. Not only does she give us yet another dark, heart pounding, suspenseful masterpiece, but she also give us a story that stands apart from the Unholy duet- a story that has the dark grit and danger and consuming epic romance we adore about Natasha Knight, but a different trope, a different hero, and a different heroine.

Because Dante is truly a hero. And instead of his brother who snagged an enemy as captive and then fell for her, Dante is actually the rescuer- he’s trying to right a kidnapping, to find a girl, now a woman, stolen years ago. Of course, Dante still has those anti-hero traits- he does dark and twisted things, but here he’s leveraging his darkness for an altruistic purpose- to free an innocent. Little did he know, she’s a grown woman now, and that innocent woman he wants to more than protect. But Dante has his own baggage, and he’s not sure he’s worthy. Not to mention, he questions Mara’s emotional state- is loving her, even if she wants to take advantage of the little girl who has never been able to live? Is keeping her for himself just stealing her yet again? And what a delicious, and devastatingly complicated concept- and a fresh take from a Natasha Knight leading man. Dante is so SWOOONY- protective, possessive, caring and gentle, sensitive yet powerful. His love for Mara took my breath away.

The power, and the darkness, of this story is less in what is said, and actually what isn’t. Natasha brilliantly connects with us Mara after her years of trauma, and the atrocities of her kidnapping and abuse happen not only off page, but for the most part aren’t even spoken. And somehow, that makes us hurt even more for Mara- for all the unspoken crimes committed against her. Natasha lets our mind and hearts imagine it all- because there are no words to describe the tragedy. She’s broken, gentle, but so incredibly fierce. Despite the worst imaginable existence, she’s survived, and she somehow finds a voice and the power to fight for what she wants- the man with the eyepatch who ripped her out of the depths of hell.

We have a lot of action, tons of twists, more secrets and mysteries, and cameos from some of our favorite characters. The chemistry, the EMOTIONAL intimacy between these two though, is the real star. We have great, sensual heat, but it’s the way these two heal each other that brings their connection to life. We have ample build up- and though I wished we got to dwell in the ending a bit more, the conclusion is still so vindicating and satisfying. The broken man and the broken woman fight together to find a peace and wholeness they’ve never known. What a beautiful thing.

While this can be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend reading To Have and To Hold Duet first. Not only because it is awesome, but because Mara and Dante’s story really begins there. The background of their families, the pain they’ve both suffered, the jaw dropping moment when they BOTH make heroic sacrifices that cause them both more pain, and the way they both suffered and were upended by the lies and deceit, the betrayal of others. We don’t see those events in this story, though they are referenced- and you can’t fully capture the full breadth of their romance, or of their own character journeys, without starting there. That’s why this isn’t a duet - their story begins in the prior duet, so that it can end in Stolen. And what a beautiful, epic, darkly swoony ending it is- I adored this story.

This was such a wild ride. I honestly didn’t expect to see Jericho show up and also have such a huge role in this book. I read Devils Pawn duet months ago and it seems like I read the books out of order (oops 🤡). In any case I’m glad this saga has come to an end and everyone had their HEA.

I felt pretty good when I guessed the buyers identity a bit before it was revealed.

There is something that is bugging me: What the hell happened to Alec?? He was never mentioned. Nothing. He is related to Lenore and Mara so where was he? He didn’t die in the original duet so where did he go?

I’m going to make this review somewhat short and to the point because who really needs to be explained that Natasha writes some of the best dark romances out there? So I just want to highlight some aspects of my experience for you.

Obviously, I more than enjoyed this story. If I could rate it higher than 5 stars I would do so. It has all the elements that make for a dark, gritty, emotional and deliciously sexy mafia story. Here’s the thing tho, if you pick up this book and begin reading without reading the duet, To Have and To Hold, you will miss an enormous amount of history/backstory in relation to not only the family but also Dante himself. If you’re new to this world, just treat the duet as a really long prologue that you must read because I cannot recommend this book can be read as a standalone. There is a lot going on in this world and your experience just wouldn’t be the same without starting at the beginning.

Dante and Mara captivated and held on to my heart from the very beginning. They knew each other as children but that was then and this is now … There are a lifetime of circumstances between them and reconnecting does not come easy but they are both strong and fighters at their core and it made their journey so hopeful and full of heart that I almost burst from it all.

That’s all I’m willing to divulge about this book to you. If you’re new to the words of this author, you are in for a glorious ride! When I first started reading her backlist I couldn’t understand why I’d waited so long to submerge myself in her worlds because she is ridic talented and her style is edgy and sharp and riveting from beginning to end. Binge reading her books is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made as a romance mafia lover!

I received an arc for a honest review.

I've been waiting for this book right when I finished the To Have and To Hold Duet. Dante totally need his book, and when Natasha announced that he was going to, I've been looking forward to it nonstop.

I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN!!! Nothing was able to stop me. LOL Natasha and her words!!! There's just something about them that sucked me in every time!! I was literally at the edge of my seat, and my heart beating uncontrollably. She TOTALLY NAILED IT AGAIN!!!

My heart HURTS for Mara. She totally went through hell and back. Dante was her fallen angel. Mara was kidnapped when she was really young. Dante and his family thought that she died, but was told that she actually survived. Dante continuously looked for her for 5 years. When he found her, I got so emotional. There were TONS of twists and turns that I didn't expect. Together, Dante and Mara was perfect!!! Gave me all the feels. The chemistry was amazing!! Ugh. No words to describe how much I LOVE THEM!!!

Do know that this is a dark romance so READ the triggers before picking this one up. But You'll have to read the To Have and To Hold Duet before reading this one or else you would totally be lost. Besides that, I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend it!!!

Now I need a book on certain someone. Lol

Brutal, freeing revenge…

This is a standalone but if you haven’t read With This Ring and I Thee Take I would strongly suggest you do. The complicated history they have is well worth it – plus those stories had other focus which you wouldn’t want to miss…

The emotional punches this story had reached epic proportions as Mara and Dante tried to create a future by slowly removing all remnants of the past. There is so much history between them and except for the beginning, it is all awful. Now, that was all going to change. Could it change right away? Could Mara recover immediately from what she’d gone through? Absolutely not. I felt every hesitation, every worry, every fear she had as she tried to figure out how to not only survive, but live… Dante was relentless in his need to not only rescue Mara but to erase every vestige of the ghosts that haunted her. Struggling with demons of his own, with his own scars reminding him daily, his way was gentle and brutal in turn. Whatever was needed, he was going to do it…

The characters, the dialogue, the twisty plot- all of it together were amazing. With Mara and Dante at the heart, this author wove an emotion-packed story that felt all too real… So, so good!! ~Diane, 5 stars

the back story is so sad - it's about a girl who has been trafficked since the age of 5.

there is a HEA but the entire story discusses in detail what was done to Mara (h). Dante (H) is a good hero and does his best to help this girl navigate living with what happened to her.

Even her backstory around Mara's Dad and Mom are sad AF.🤧

Also some interconnectedness to the IVI story that Natasha Knight has built

I wouldn't read this book again bc of the subject but i"m glad I read it bc/ human trafficking and human slavery exist in the real world and we need to open our eyes to it.🤧

But now I feel sad and depressed having read it. It's kind of a feeling I have with Natasha's books

As soon as I finished To have and to hold duet, I knew it was almost inevitable for Dante to have his own book...such soulful, dark character need to have his story told.

I am used to reading antiheroes from Author Knight but as much as I loved her other heroine, dante has made a whole new place in my heart. Mara and him had a very unusual yet perfect bonding, it's like there has was a 1000 watts worth of connection between them just waiting to unfold. Mara was so vulnerable but never broken... she was strong in her own way and could be more compatible with Dante.

Definitely recommending this worth while story...

NOW AVAILABLE!

"Tonight is the beginning of their end.
Tonight, I take back what they stole."

The truth is that you can not read this story without reading the "To Have and To Hold" duet, cause without it you will feel kind of lost... Trust me on that!!!
All three books are circling around the vendetta which destroyed Grigori family and left only the two brothers to deal with the repercussions of this hideous action...
The duet focused on Christian's story and in here, Natasha is leading us five years after the ending of the duet while in Dante's presence...

"Kidnapped girls who have lived their lives in captivity don't get happily-ever-afters. And neither do monsters."

Five years ago, Dante's life changed for once again...
He found out truths that were pulling him under and he became a different man from inside and outside... He is not the loving boy that he was once... Now, he is cruel and ruthless and he is determined to get back everything that were stolen from him...
He will cast his own revenge upon to those who harmed him and his family and he is determined to get back, Mara. The sweet girl that he once knew and whom thought for dead for more than a decade....

"I'm here now, Mara. And I may not the boy you remember, but I am the man you'll come to know. The man who will destroy your demons."

Mara was an innocent child until she saw her "family"'s massacre...
From the age of five, she was stolen from the life she knew and an ugly fate awaited her...
A cruel fate who left her broken with nothing good to expect...
Now, at the age of twenty, her life is about to change because of a broken, avenging angel.
But her captors aren't giving up... They want her back and they are determined to not leave her alone.

"This is too hard. Because this reminds me of everything and everyone I lost. The life that was stolen before I had a chance to live it."

Honestly, I don't know what more to say about this story...
The connection between Mara and Dante was instant and very intense... They were two broken people who could understand the other's pain way too much!!!
Mara had lost her trust on the others, but with Dante, she was feeling safety and she just wanted to stay hidden in his embrace...
As for Dante, he was really an avenging angel!! He was determined to avenge his broken angel and he wasn't hesistating on anything... He was often reckless, but ruthlessly brave and I loved him for that!!

"There's something strange betwen us. Something I hadn't even considered. An electrical charge. I just have to remember electricity kills."

My only objection is that things felt too rush between the main couple and even though they used to know each other, this instant connection felt a little bit unreal...
Otherwise, it was another amazing story by Natasha Knight and I loved everything else about it....
I loved Dante's perseverance and I loved Mara's spirit. Even though they were both broken in unimaginable ways, there was hope for them when they were together!!

"Only monsters enjoy the feel of blood on their hands."
"I never said I wasn't one. But I'm not your monster."

After the To Have and To Hold duet,i needed to know where Mara was,and what happened to her.
Luckily,Dante started to search for her as soon as he found out she was still alive.
Only….it took him 5 long years to find her,and a lot has happened in that time.
And it wasn’t good…

Mara knew her time was up,knew that being sold, again!,was going to be the death of her.
Her current owner Petrov had used her up,making money whilst doing so.
Felix, the one that sold her to him,was buying her back, but she knew it wasn’t with the intention of letting her live….
And then, before she knew what happened,a ghost from the past showed up,and took her.
But he couldn’t be who he said he was….right?
She KNEW Dante was dead!

When he rescued Mara from that monster,he knew she wasn’t the girl he knew.
She’d obviously grown into a woman, one that had gone through hell and had the scars to prove it….inside and out.
But to have her fight him,not believing HER Dante was alive, hearing her words….that broke his heart.
All he wanted was, to protect her now, even from himself.
Because he was drawn to her, like a moth to the flame.
No,she deserved a chance to be happy,to have the life she was meant to have.

But Mara knows what she wants, and she’ll do her best to have it!
Even if evil forces are working against them…
Even if everything starts to fall apart….

These two broken people needed someone to love them.
To see the person hiding deep down inside that broken shell.
And they were perfect together, fitting two broken parts into a beautiful whole.

I loved their story, with all my heart!

“Only monsters enjoy the feel of blood on their hands.” He snorts, one side of his mouth curves momentarily upward. “I never said I wasn’t one. But I’m not your monster.”

Stolen: Dante's Vow is the thrilling spin-off of Natasha Knight's To Have and To Hold Duet. Five years after Cristiano's and Scarlett's story, Dante is still rearching for Mara, Lenore's granddaughter.

I loved every word of this story. From the intensity, the scorching hot scenes and the thrilling danger that grips them all along, I couldn't put this book down.

It's dark, raw. Intimate, too. Dante's rescue mission goes way further than freeing Mara from her abductors. The five years old little girl she was then is now twenty, and she bears the scars of the horrible life she's been through, and as does he.

Dante's guilt was tangible, Mara's pain and sorrow touched me deeply. Together, they needed to find the equilibrium that would allow them to slaughter their demons. Dante's maturity (there is a fifteen years age gap), and protection skills offers the perfect frame for Mara to feel secure enough. Both broken, they fought, they lashed out, and it was so poignant and sexy!

The author wrote in this story one of my favorites couples set in her mafia world. Stolen is a page-turner filled with twists and turns that I never saw coming. Well done!

"My broken avenging angel. [...] The one slaying my dragons."

Heart pounding, edge of your seat action!
Dante is on a mission and blood will be shed.
There's only one outcome and he will not be denied.
Find her, rescue her and bring her home.
Pity the fools standing in his way!

Exactly the conclusion we've all been hoping for <3

Review :
Ever since I read the To Have and To Hold duet, I knew Dante needed to tell his own tale. Mara and Dante set the book on damn fire with their chemistry and angst!

Mara and Dante knew each other before a certain accident killed her. But she did not die and was rather kidnapped. Dante looked everywhere for her and now after 5 years he has found his angel. An angel who claimed to be broken but was still the most perfect thing he had ever seen. He killed for her and would continue to do so. Her demons were now his and he won't stop until he avenged her in every way possible.

I am a huge fan of Natash because she always gives me all the feels with her Mafia books! This one was a bit new to her since all her books had an anti hero who hated the heroine. But Dante and Mara had a different history which made this book a bit new for me. O loved it nonetheless. The darkness of this book was amazing and so was the steam! Definitely recommending this one to all the dark mafia romance loving people out there!

Five years after my world shattered, leaving me a scarred and broken man. By then, the girl I knew was gone. In her place stood a woman. One who looked like an angel. An impossible, beautiful angel. This was a good read, the story line was interesting, a little predictable but full of drama and action, with very strong likable characters. It was good to read Dante's story I felt so sad for him, so it was good for him to have his time.

God, what a story and ending to this saga. Stolen is an extension to To Have and To Hold Books. All of these books should be read, if read they need to be read in order though. I could not put this book Stolen down. Once I started it I had to finish and find out how it was going to end.

Dante is a broken soul that is in search of the one person that could help him come back from the dark. Mara is that girl that will help him once he can save her from the devil out there.

Mara has had a horrible past 5 years and is in no frame of mind, when Dante comes rushing in and saves her. She will need to learn to trust all over again, which will probably be the hardest thing she has ever gone through. But while she is going through that, Dante is bound to kill Mara's monsters.

The emotional roller coaster that you will go through reading this book is well worth it. I loved this book and will reread it over and over.
Another winner!

Mara. Kidnapped and help prisoner for 15 years.
She watched her best friend and her entire family be slaughtered. It was a mistake though because she was meant to die that night. Her best friend was meant to be kidnapped instead. For 15 years, she was told she had to pretend to be her friend Elizabeth.

The boy that she had a connection to all those years ago finally realized that she was alive and found her.
Dante.
“Whether she likes it or not, I’m hers now.
Her protector.
Her monster.
The one who will slay all the other monsters in her world.”

This is a slow burn romance. Dante knows what Mara has gone through in the last 15 years and despite no and she’s a woman now and not a little girl, he feels like that she deserves everything but him. He feels way too damaged to ever get close to her. So he does what he can to help her get to her original family and he decides to protect her from afar.
Problem is, her original kidnapper wants her back.
That’s a matter of finding him.
And then we have a twist in the book where she’s needed for other reasons.

The book definitely keeps you on your toes. There are no slow parts. It transitions from chapter to chapter really easily. And it does leave off on a HEA. No cliffhanger!

The highly anticipated story for Dante Grigori is finally here and you won’t be disappointed! Mara was stolen by one only to be taken by another. Tortured and held captive by the ruthless Bratva can she find who she is again now that Dante has saved her? He has obsessed over finding her ever since he found out she is still alive. Now that he has her though what will he do? This is a non-stop action packed romance with plenty of revenge and mystery to keep you going. Although this is a stand-alone, I recommend reading the to have and hold duet first. Dante is exactly what you were waiting for and I loved how gentle he was with Mara. A beautiful story of captivity and what happens when you’re finally free. Top Read of 2021! Told in dual POV

There is absolutely nothing that stands in the way of this author continuously putting out some of the greatest dark romances out there. She is so talented, so well versed in the genre of dark romance-she’s a forever one click for me. Everything that she writes is just so unique-each and every story just so haunting, yet packed with so much sizzle and some of the greatest alphas you’ll ever read.
I’ve been waiting for Dante’s story ever since I finished his brother’s. The world that this author has created was so addicting that it was hard to pick up another book since. We knew there was tremendous heartbreak that the two brothers had suffered, and Dante’s ride would be filled with rescue and revenge. Dante was DANGEROUS and I loved every second of it! There were several times he found himself in situations that would be considered unfavorable, but he’s really just let vengeance wrap around him so tightly he never gives up. Mara-sheesh! We knew she went through some horrible stuff, but to see her genuinely grow as a character was totally special. This book was filled with action, had a ton of chemistry between the main characters, and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. An absolute must read!

Stolen: Dante’s Vow by Natasha Knight
Living the life of mistaken identity has not fared well for Mara. The horrors of the night in question has scarred her mentally, but the life she lives now has broken her. Abused by monsters, she still holds out hope for her knight in shining armour, but when he finally comes, can she trust him or is he just another monster, only better disguised?
Dante is shrouded in guilt for what happened to his family. A man with nothing to lose, but hell-bent on bringing those responsible for the past to their knees. Scarred and battered with only one thought in mind, he has to find Mara and save her.
When the underground world starts to whisper, he listens and follows the breadcrumbs, but there seems to be more at play than he realizes. When he finds Mara, she is not a willing captive; she is not the weak damsel in distress and tests his patience to no end.
Yet behind the façade, she is a woman who is fearful of those who have abused her. Dante makes her feel alive, but there is something holding him back. Their relationship is one of push and pull. But the underworld decides it is not finished with Mara, and the price is hanging over her head. Who wants her and why? And can Dante protect her, while he tries to figure it all out?
Once again the talented Ms Knight has given us a story with twists and turns. Our main characters have a past, and for once they don’t hate one another. Dante’s guilt stops him from taking what he wants and Mara feels rejected which makes for a perfect story of a woman trying to not show her emotions. Ms Knight has a wonderful way of telling a story, she hooks you from chapter one, and you can’t put the book down until you read “the end.” I really enjoyed this story and fell in love with Dante and Mara. I am left wondering about the alluring Mr St James…will we get his story next?

I got burned with this book, I so wanted Dante's story and Natasha knocked it out of the park, she nailed this story. It was an intense turmoil, full of emotions, gripping you from the start and having you on edge throughout the story. I was compelled and couldn't stop reading it even it was already 4 am. Dante and Mara's story will become one couple you will remember. Definitely worth reading it and so what are you waiting for?

4.5⭐

“𝒀𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒂 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒗𝒐𝒓. 𝑰𝒕 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈.”

This is Dante and Mara's story and I have been waiting for this one since I read With this ring and I take thee. It took Dante 5 years to find Mara, after discovering that she was alive but was with her buyer.
He felt guilty about Mara's abduction and also because he never looked for her and thought that she was dead like other members of his family in the attack that happened when he was 15. So he made rescuing Mara and kill each of her tormentors his life mission.
Mara was Dante's little sister's best friend who always had a crush on Dante. When Dante came to rescue her she didn't think that he was her Dante, the pretty green-eyed boy, but with time she got to know that that man was her Dante but not the boy anymore. She was in captivity for 15 years and this was tough for her where someone cared for her because all she knew was how to fight so she was getting confused when all Dante was doing was taking care of her.
Mara and Dante's story was full of heartache, raw emotions. With every step, they both were together for one another. Mara learns to accept that there were people who love her and will take care of her and Dante he has to overcome his guilt because what happened with Mara and his family was not his fault.

This book kept me on my toes all the damn time. With each passing chapter, I was getting anxious to know where this plot was going and there was a shocking revelation at the end.

“𝑰’𝒎 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒈𝒐. 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓. 𝒀𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒚, 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒂."

Wow! Talk about an intense, dark read! Absolutely incredible! It’s always so hard to put into words how I feel about a story. This one really worked its way into my heart and soul. The angst, the pain, the sadness, all of which can turn to happiness and love. Dante and Mara blew me away. Both have so much tragedy in their pasts, so much darkness, but when they come together, you can feel the warmth of the light.

Mara, as a young girl, is taken and Dante looks for her, but she is so well hidden, can he ever find her? When something happens and he finds a clue, he is determined to find her and bring her back to her family. But is Mara ready for that? She has known nothing but heartache, so can Dante show her that he will keep her safe?

As you read, you just know that these two belong together. It may not happen right away, but my heart knows that they will. Many secrets are discovered, some of which blew my mind. I absolutely loved everything about this story. Dante and Mara will forever be in my heart.
