Fifth in the Belle Harbor Cozy Mystery series!
With Tilly's new assistant on board at the bakery, she agrees to take on a catering gig that could skyrocket her business to the next level. While jousting for her space in the kitchen with the temperamental chef, a troubling discovery at the celebrity wedding of the century threatens to shatter her dreams.

As Tilly quickly discovers, family drama and professional jealousy disguise the clues, making it a doozy of a mystery to detect what's real and what's fake. Will the publicity from the event doom the next phase of her bakery plans, or will Tilly be able to uncover the truth in a humdinger of a plot?
Tiramisu and Turmoil is Book 5 in the Belle Harbor Cozy Mystery series. A light, cozy mystery in a quaint beach town with a fun loving, amateur female sleuth, her quirky uncle, and enough antiques and pastries to fill your home and your belly. No gore, swearing or cliffhangers. Can be read as a standalone.
Sue Hollowell is a wife and empty nester with a lot of mom left over. Finding a lot of time on her hands, and as a lover of mystery novels, she began telling the story of a character who appeared in her head.
The Chemical Bond is a book about Meredith Markette, a young woman who reluctantly enters into the field of law enforcement when her police officer father is killed in the line of duty. Her quest is to discover his murderer and in the meantime come to terms with a tragedy of her youth.
Will this book ever see the light of day? Maybe. Sue really likes the story and character. And writing that book taught her a ton about the publishing industry. Through this experience she has discovered a love of writing stories, and especially mysteries. She hopes you enjoy her books as much as she enjoys writing them.
She and her husband are on the search to adopt a dog, really missing her spaniels that passed a couple of years ago.
This was a cute murder mystery of what was supposed to be a big wedding for two actors. I do enjoy the series but the phrasing and descriptions do get very repetitive and I wish there was some expansion in skill in that. I read a Kindle Unlimited version and all of Chapter 15 was an exact copy and paste for the last section of Chapter 14 - I don’t know if that’s a formatting error or it was printed that way also.
What is supposed to be a happy day for a bride and groom ends up in murder. Tilly and Linda are working their first catering job...dessert for a wedding. And not just any wedding, this one is for actors! But when the groom is found dead just moments before the wedding, well things get pretty complicated. There is a murderer among the wedding guests...but who is it? I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
At their very first catering gig, of course there's gonna be a dead body. But true to style, Tilly rocked this investigation too and Fiona helped as she could. I got such a kick out of how Linda was able to tame the grouchy chef and actually got to see a nicer version of him. I bet Tilly was worried he'd want her to work for him, but I know Linda's loyal to a fault to Tilly and especially her sweet Unkie.
I hadn't been completely sure of the killer, but it was really cool how Barney gathered everyone in true Columbo fashion for the showdown (I could honestly picture Columbo doing this!) and drew things out just for a bit of drama, lol. He's such an awesome police chief and always appreciates Tilly's help a lot. Maybe it's because he's Unkie's best friend but I bet he'd think she was helpful regardless since he's just a nice and fair lawman.
We got just a small taste of what's coming in the next book. It'll be interesting to see how Tilly's parents are when she opens her bakery. I hope they're helpful and nice like I'm sure Tilly's hoping! Can't wait to borrow the next book on KU!
I greatly enjoyed this story! A wedding with preparations! Nervous wedding participants and lots of nervousness! Weddings are generally a lot of nervous people trying to figure out just what is expected from them!! It seems this wedding was exactly that! Suddenly something goes wrong! Everyone is sent to separate rooms and told to wait! Waiting is not for the faint of heart!! What has happened! Everyone has to wait and see!
Tiramisu and Turmoil (A Belle Harbor Cozy Mystery Book 5), my twentieth enjoyable short (76 page) read from author Sue Hollowell that I finished in under 90-minutes. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book am reading it & voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author with Pies and Pandemonium (A Belle Harbor Cozy Mystery Book 6) next on my TBR list. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018.
Tilly's first big event has a murder. Will this hurt her business. Her assistant Linda is great. Tilly works with the sheriff to find leads. Her sleuthing pays off. Her little bakery in her in uncle's antique store isn't big enough for the supply and demand she has now.
Tilly with the help of her new assistant Linda take on her first big catering job for an actress’s wedding. Before the ceremony starts the groom is murdered. Tilly helps keep all the guests calm while the chief investigates. In the end something she sees solves the murder with a surprise ending. A fun read.
With her new assistant Tilly lands a contract to provide deserts at a celebratory wedding and is hoping for referrals. Prior to the wedding the groom is murdered and she and Fiona shift into investigative mode. Her assistant keeps everyone in the kitchen calm and finishes the desert so Tilly can help investigate. Great reading thanks
The recipe this time was cheesecake…yum. Tilly seems to have the knack of seeing things that others don’t. That’s how she discovered who killed the groom. Can’t wait for the next one.
Another cute installment in this series! The wedding setting made for interesting sleuthing, and I love seeing the development of Linda as a character and perhaps future companion for Uncle Jack. Tilly's development as a baker and sleuth was also nice to see.
A wedding murder! This might be my favourite book in the series so far. Loved the drama and all of Tilly's new life's excitements. Really loving these characters and not so sleepy town.
Tilly and Linda, her new assistant, was hired to cater a celebrity wedding. If successful, this would give her bakery a high boost in notoriety and increase her clientele tremendously. Unfortunately, she not only has to share the kitchen with a temperamental chef, but also the bridegroom is murdered before the nuptials take place and everything is in turmoil. Trying to investigate the crime is very difficult for Tilly as most of the people are actors and really putting on a show. Will Tilly be able to identify the truth or will the charade continue. Join Tilly, Barney and the crew as they examine the evidence. As Tilly and Linda camaraderie grows, Tilly sees a relationship building between Unkie and Linda which she will continue to encourage. The setting of the wedding sounds wonderful with the beach, the sand and the expensive homes makes you wish you could attend a wedding there. This was a delight to read. It was well-written and the characters are captivating. The mystery pulls you in and keeps you guessing. If you haven’t read this series yet, I highly recommend it.
I received an advanced copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Wonderful, Fun, Exciting Cozy Mystery in Belle Harbor!!!
Tilly Griffin's bakery business is growing and she is thinking about moving her business into Poppy's Pizza Parlor. She also get Linda to be her new assistant in the bakery. Tilly met Linda when her 'Unkie', Uncle Jack, agreed to run Linda's estate sale, things are moving along very well between Linda and Uncle Jack too. Fiona, Tilly's best friend has recommended Tilly to her cousin's friend, Layla, the bride, to prepare desserts for the wedding party. Tilly and Linda are busy preparing tiramisu cheesecake while sharing the kitchen with the Mean Chef Ricardo who is catering the foods for the wedding when they heard that the wedding is off, turn out Aiden the groom is found dead on the floor with a pool of blood.
Both Aiden and Layla are both up-and-coming actors, there are a lot of actors and actress at the wedding so the upside from the publicity could be tremendous if things went well but with the groom dead what would happen.
Tilly will need to help Chief Barney to solve this murder before it's too late.
This is a fun and light heart cozy mystery that was well-written with likable characters. I really enjoy this book, it's hard to put down, it's a fast-paced story line that keeps you entertained as you try to figure out who murder the groom and why. I would recommend this book to any cozy mystery fans. It is very entertaining and I am looking forward to read the next books in the series.

Number 5 in the series, Tilley has gained a great assistant in Linda and is getting ready to move her bakery out of her uncle’s antique shop and into her own place. But first they have the chance to cater the dessert for a celebrity wedding and hopefully gain some great reviews. But what a wedding it turns out to be - before the nuptials can even begin the bridegroom is discovered dead!! Tilley and Linda are preparing their Tiramisu cheesecake, sharing the kitchen with the famous chef from hell. Luckily, Linda turns out to be the chef whisperer with her calming spirit. When Chief Barney and his crew show up to investigate, they separate the crowd into groups to interview and promise food and drinks will be forthcoming. I really like Tilley, a courageous young woman set on a new career, in spite of disappointing her parents. Her relationship with her Unkie is sweet and supportive. And she’s an amateur detective to boot! I am on the author’s ARC team and am happy to review this book voluntarily.
Tiramisu and Turmoil is Book 5 in A Belle Harbor Cozy Mystery by Sue Hollowell. Tilly and Linda get their first big catering business by providing the desserts for a wedding. What can possibly go wrong? Well, when the bridegroom turns up dead right before the wedding, there seems to be several suspects with Tilly looking to solve this murder. Although the murder is the main theme of this wonderful book, the other theme I felt was very interesting and perfect for this book. Tilly is finally opening her own bakery and moving out of Uncle Jack’s shop. There is a lot of emotion over this move. Also, Tilly is estranged from her parents. Her father is an architect and offered to help her renovate and build the bakery. Her mother is going to design the cafe located inside the bakery. It was wonderful to see the bridge beginning to build between Tilly and her parents. Sue Hollowell has written an amazing story. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.
Tilly and her assistant Linda are catering the dessert for Layla and Aiden's wedding. The bride and groom, along with several others, are up and coming actors. Tilly is sharing the kitchen with Chef Ricardo, known for his top notch food and bad attitude. Right before the ceremony is to begin Aiden is found dead on the floor. Chief Barney and Deputy Stevens are called to investigate and begin by separating the guests and wedding party into groups for questioning. Tilly and the kitchen staff start bringing drinks and food to the guests while they wait. Tilly observed something in the photos the photographer took which helps Chief Barney crack the case and arrest the murderer

Tilly and Linda are serving the desert at a celebrity wedding. A sudden commotion outside the kitchen causes concern by the chef and he asks Tilly to find out what is happening. The groom has been killed and everyone is a suspect. Barney and his deputy arrive and he tells his deputy to separate the parties into separate rooms. Bridal party in one, groomsmen in another, brides family and grooms family in separate rooms away from the others. As the investigation begins, Fiona who owns the hotel where the wedding was to take place, asks Barney if they should go ahead and start to serve the drinks and then the food. He agrees and tells them to start with the drinks as it may help getting people to talk. The wedding photographer has continued to take pictures and Tilly hopes there's a clue somewhere.

Having a new assistant at the bakery, Tilly agrees to take on a celebrity catering event that could skyrocket her business to the next level – if all goes well. Bad publicity, however, could ruin her. So of course she has a murder to solve! And nothing is as it seems. Even the clues she gathers are not straightforward. Will the publicity from this event doom the next phase of her bakery plans, or will Tilly be able to uncover the truth and save the day?
This is another wonderful cozy mystery in this series that will immediately get the reader’s attention! Personable characters we all know and love, along with a fast-paced plot and a group of obfuscating celebrities to work with, keep the reader avidly following along trying to figure out who committed the murder and why! Grab your copy and join the search!
What could and should have been a huge day for Tilly's cupcake business turns to tragedy when murder strikes at a wedding she, along with her new assistant, Linda, has been asked to cater. There is no shortage of suspects but no one stands the chance of getting away with the crime with Tilly investigating. Along with local Sheriff Barney and with extra help from her bestie, Fiona, quick work is made of rounding up the culprit. The one thing missing was more of a description of the crime scene and clues as to what actually killed the victim. Those details were absent and I believe it took away from the story. I do, however, love Tilly as well as her relationship with Fiona and her growing relationship with Linda. It's an enjoyable series and I do highly recommend reading it.

Tilly and assistant Linda are working on the desserts for the wedding when the groom is found dead and the wedding is canceled. Tilly, BFF Fiona, and cop Barney are on the hunt for the killer amidst actors and relatives of the wedding couple. Plenty of misdirected clues and miscommunications to keep them off the right path. There is no stopping them, though, as they get closer to finding the killer. The characters are well created, quirky and a bit crazy with all those actors involved. The storyline has plenty of surprises and twists to keep you guessing until the end. A fun mystery when all is done and said. Totally enjoyed it.

Tilly and her new assistant Linda thought catering dessert for a celebrity wedding would be great for business. They never expected there would be a murder at the wedding. Barney arrives and separates the wedding party and guests in different locations. Fiona and Tilly serve drinks to each group and keep their eyes and ears open for clues to relay to Barney. Tilly does finally notice something in a photo and shares with Barney. Barney is able to make and arrest as that photo provided the final clue .

Tilly and her new assistant have been hired to cater the desserts for a high profile wedding. This could be a big boost for her business but before the wedding begins the groom is found dead. With a wedding party made up of actors and a number of other guests who disliked the groom, getting to the truth of who killed him will be a challenge. I enjoyed this book and although it can be read alone, I suggest reading the series because it is quite entertaining . I like the characters , the setting and the storylines . I received an ARC copy of this book from the author and this is my honest and freely offered review.
Another fun read about Tilly & Linda & Tilly’s uncle Jack who is mentioned a few times. Catering for the desserts at a very posh wedding with an annoying head chef to cope with as well, suddenly commotion! Someone is dead. The police chief makes various parties go to various different places in the mansion & Tilly & Fiona serve drinks & then the food is served, room by room. Suddenly something triggers an idea in Tilly’s head & the murder is solved!
No happily ever after when the groom is murdered before the nuptials and no shortage of suspects who did not want to the wedding to go on. Although I enjoy this series, this installment was a little disjointed for me where I am still a bit confused as to how exactly he was murdered (was it poison through the boutonniere?). With the reveal too terse, the ending was just a-ok for me.
