Faulty Fallon
Meet Fallon. Fallon Jax has struggled in the love department for as long as she could remember. The one-man who is supposed to be a girl's first true love, her father Fonzo Jax has always been more concerned with what the street's were offering as opposed to what his only daughter needed. Fallon decided that she would find her own love in those same streets. The only problem with that is that she's seen as prey and she is set to become a part of someone else's game. Will Fallon prevail or will her downfall be her own FAULT?

Faulty Fallon was the perfect title for this read. Fallon was definitely faulty, and her shenanigans were entertaining to read about. This book was story filled with bad decisions and ratchetness. But readers shouldn't count Fallon out, life comes at her fast, but the good thing is she receives all the life lessons that her mistakes are meant to teach her. " The old saying goes, 'When life throws you lemons, you should make lemonade.' Well, I say, fuck life and its lemons. I laugh to myself as I think, at this point, I'm ready to throw those bitches back!"
Fallon is a young woman trying to live her best life. But her best life did not include her best decisions. When Fallon discovers her boyfriend, Kiyan, has cheated on her, Fallon decides to have a hot girl summer. Instead of sitting around being sad and depressed about the love she feels she's lost, she decides to turn things up a notch. But the summer isn't the only thing that's scorching up the streets. "I read the message and closed the app on my phone. I wasn't replying to anything at the moment because look baby, I was on the block shooting dice with my homegirls." Life has a funny way of giving you what you need when you least expect it. Things in Fallon's life take a turn, possibly for the worst depending on who you ask, making her reevaluate her life and all her bad decisions.
This was this author's first book and I feel like she did a great job. Fallon and all her bad decision making kept my interest piqued throughout the entire read. This book is a standalone, so if you decide to check it out there is no wait needed. Once I was done reading this book, Fallon had me trying to reevaluate my younger years to assess if I was just as wild and reckless as her.

Whoa! That's the 1st thing I have to say about this book. I normally do not read urban fiction. I am normally a historical romantic suspense type of girl. HOWEVER. This book. Lord. The author is talented. She writes very well. I love that it is written in the first person. I was only up to page 24 and thought, " Lord, all this happened and we are only to page 24."
The way A. Monique writes...I thought ok, this girl I know, She is doing stuff I did back in the day. I like her. I felt like she wrote...real. It's not sugar-coated. She writes like how she talks. This book was like being in her brain. It was a fresh way of writing, and I enjoyed it. All the emotions happened in this book as well. It was a ride!
You may assume that this book is written for a specific audience. However, ALL of us can relate to this story or part of the story. Great book. Read it. You won't regret it.

Absolute page turner!!!
A. Monique did her thing.. I felt like I knew the characters. She brought them to life. I could feel their stories, the pain, anger, hope and the love.. it was awesome read.. I am looking forward to the rest of this series.. Fonzo and the brothers, Maannnn, I can't wait🥰

Great read
Loved this book from start to finish. I couldn’t put it down. It instantly caught my attention. Im so happy for my girl Fallon. She truly deserved everything that came here way. She went through a lot but stood the test and came out stronger in the end. Can’t wait to read more of your work!!

Interesting Read

This was a cute story to me. I loved the flow of the book as well. It took me two days to read this bc I had other things going on but it can be done within a day
