Dr. Ken Ham is the president of Answers in Genesis USA and is a well-known speaker and author on the subject of Young-Earth Creationism. He received a bachelor degree in applied science (emphasis on environmental biology) from the Queensland Institute of Technology, and a Diploma of Education from the University of Queensland. He has also received two honorary doctorates: a Doctor of Divinity from Temple Baptist College, and a Doctor of Literature from Baptist Liberty University.

He was a director of Creation Science Foundation (CSF) in Australia, an organization which he jointly founded with John Mackay. In 1987 he moved to the United States, still maintaining his links with CSF.

From 1987 to 1993, Ham worked for the Institute for Creation Research, and in 1994 set up what in 1995 became Answers in Genesis (AiG), a creation ministry dedicated to "upholding the authority of the Bible from the very first verse."

In 2008 Ham was described by well known atheist and evolutionary biologist PZ Myers as a "Wackaloon" for carrying out a prayer session with members of the Pentagon. Ham responded regarding the validity of that prayer breakfastand that PZ Myers and other critics were intolerant of his position.

This was yet another great book from Ken Ham and AIG. I love how he is always so faithful to give a wonderful gospel presentation and to gently but firmly encourage pastors and parents to raise up the next generation with a solid biblical foundation so that they can defend their faith against the attacks of numerous conflicting worldviews.

A good expose on why the younger generation is leaving the church and a challenge to church leaders to correct the problem. We need to be giving our children a solid Biblical foundation, based on Genesis 1-11, so they can stand when the wicked world comes calling them.

No question our culture is in chaos and the church itself, in many ways has gone off the rails. Good read to help answers some questions as to why.

This is a quick read for parents, teachers and pastors who stand on the authority of God’s Word in the Bible. It is a brief overview of why Creation Evangelism is necessary if we wish to reach the next generations with the gospel. Those who have been born into our increasingly secularized culture need to know that “Christ is Lord and Redeemer because He is first of all Creator and Sustainer who is bringing all things to their appointed end by the reconciliation of all things to God. This is a work that will be complete when the last enemy-death- is defeated.” I’m thankful for and have enjoyed both the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter and many of the books and resources offered by the Answers in Genesis ministry.

Gives an honest, thorough foundation for what you need in order to help from being confused by all the divisions in the world. While not everything was theologically correct, most everything was. Again it really drove home what is important to defend the faith nowadays, in a very suffice and sufficient way.

Straight and to the point! A book that many need to read! Ken Ham lays out where our church and faith in God is being attacked! Our foundation makes all the difference! He shares common questions and how we’re being attacked. We need to be able to defend our faith and if we don’t have a right foundation we will crumble when we’re attacked. He shares how Genesis 1-11 is the foundation of Scripture and how every Christian needs to be a student of apologetics. Let’s be more bold and stand firm in our faith in an ever more anti-God world.

Ham is a remarkably clear writer.

His (5) claims in this helpful book follow: 1) There is no neutral ground; 2) There is no non-religious position; 3) There are ultimately only two religions--two foundations for our worldview (God's Word/the Bible or man's word); 4) General Bible and creation apologetics; and 5) How to think foundationally to develop a truly Christian worldview.

Throughout the book, he develops and expands upon each theme via evidence from experience, history, and Scripture.

I think I actually heard Ken Ham give this talk at the Creation Museum in June while my family was visiting, plus I just read a few other AiG books back-to-back, so there wasn't anything really new for me here. However, this book is a good reminder that worldview foundations are why we have such a cultural/political divide today. We can respectfully tell others that we base our views on what the Bible says, and because of that, we won't be able to agree on those hot button issues. It isn't hateful, it's just that we have different presuppositions, so of course we don't see eye-to-eye!

Written in Ken Ham’s down to earth conversational style this book is a quick and easy read. It challenges pastors and parents to build a Christian worldview in the hearts of our children and in our churches. As well, it gets to the heart of what is going on in the western world today. It is a clash of world views with two very different foundations. I highly recommend this little book to parents and pastors everywhere.

A very simple, but solid book on the crux of foundational beliefs and how they shape our world view. I appreciated the chapters where he works through how to have conversations with people who have differing beliefs of specific topics; and how we must first acknowledge differing beliefs about God, as one who doesn’t believe in God is not interested in what the Bible has to say simply because the Bible says it.

The title makes it sound like an opinion piece of sorts. Instead, its actually a primer on apologetics, explaining the foundation of your Christian worldview, and other foundational elements that Answers in Genesis seeks to equip believers to understand/use for the glory of God in this sin-sick world.

Another good book written by Ken Ham. He tackles the need to develop a Christian worldview based upon the authority of Genesis 1-11. It was a concise booklet but a charge and challenge to the church to not simply address the symptoms that lie at the issues of our culture but rather drill down to the foundational/worldview issues.

Ken is a dry, straight to the point writer, but wow does he have a great message with foundational truth! I LOVE how he explains why we believe what we believe and how to know where your worldview comes from. I also got the warm fuzzies when he explained how we in every debate/disagreement should be treating each other as family. If everyone did this… oh what the world would be 🤍

"Divided Nation" was better than I expected it to be. I have some reservations about Ham in that his approach can be rather dogmatic, yet he filled the gaps I didn't expect. His foundation on God's Word is commendable. I have a few reservations about his positions (theories, education, worship), but all in all his premise is spot on.

A short, unapologetic, accessible defense of Genesis. Why it is important not to compromise on the Genesis account of the history of the world. As Christians we should build our faith on Genesis being true. Our foundation defines our worldview, thus anyone who does not accept that foundation will have a different worldview. Simple but something that is easy to loose sight of.

Partway through, I thought this book was somewhat redundant, but I believe he finishes it excellently giving sound advice on apologetics. You can always be sure that the author is unswerving in his belief in scripture despite cultural pressures.

Good little book from Ken Ham! Handles the main issue underneath a lot of apologetics issues today! I recommend a read! Prolly one of the coolest things I have seen in a book is direct application suggestions to pastors and parents!

Paprastai ir aiškiai, labai nesigilinant (nes gilintis per daug kur reiktų turbūt), rašo kodėl mūsų kartos krikščionys nesugeba apgint savo nuomonės, ką reikia daryt, ir kokia svarba yra Pradžios knygos.

Labiau gal sakyčiau tokia lengva apžvalga ši knyga.

A very good book that deals with cultural issues/sins facing our society today. Ham deals with it in a Biblical manner that, especially the church and professing Christians need to hear and heed.
