When we hike, we are in awe of the beauty before us and realize that we are a direct part of the beauty as well...That beauty in front of us is also within all of us.Some of the most valuable lessons we learn in life can occur in unexpected places. We often find that the journey is more important than the destination...Keep Moving Forward explores nine lessons I learned while on America’s hiking trails. It’s my hope these lessons will resonate with you and will inspire you, invigorate you, and impact you in the most positive way.For some of us, it takes moving out of our comfort zones, pushing our limits, or simply peeling back layers of our lives, current situation, or stressors to fully grasp the lesson we’re supposed to learn or wholly accept that we are so much more than what happens to us. We are our own worst enemy and staunchest supporter.Learning to embrace the better parts of ourselves and heal from the scars of the human condition takes work. I hope this book will eliminate those steps and will give you the motivation you need to just Keep Moving Forward, no matter how difficult the journey ahead may be. You will get through to the other side, stronger, wiser, and better for it.Scroll up and click “Buy Now” to start reading today!
Loved this book!!! If you’re looking for a book that feels like a pep talk from a wise, adventurous friend, Keep Moving Forward is it. It’s full of real stories from hiking trails across America, and somehow each one ties back to a simple, powerful life lesson without ever feeling preachy.
The writing is super relatable—funny when it needs to be, raw when it matters most—and you can tell the author has really lived these lessons, not just talked about them. It reminded me that even the hardest paths have beautiful views
This is a book I will come back to again and again
Hikers climb mountains in life to conquer the goal of reaching each summit one step at a time
Makes one think about the battles faced in living life. In order to truly live life to one's full potential, one must push through the challenges life presents with courage, strength, and true grit!
Truly inspiring, good flow through the entire book. As someone who ran the Pittsburgh Marathon and section hiked parts of the AT Matt's perspective is wonderful. Keep on Keeping on!
This is a great book for everyone to read, especially if you're convinced "life shouldn't be this difficult." In reality, to quote Jimmy Dugan from A League of their Own: "It's supposed to be hard....The hard is what makes it great."
Matt's book will help you come to accept that, using stories from his extensive hiking experience.
A nice simple book. I'm not a mountain climber, but I like walking nature trails and some waterfall locations. This book shares a lot of his stories. The struggles. How to work out the fear and frustration. How to build motivation. It also provides little nuggets on our own personal mountains and how we can climb and overcome our fears.
Simply written book about remembering to just keeping moving forward in life towards whatever goals you have. Don’t let the mountains your mind creates make you believe that you are not capable.
I enjoyed this book, a lot of the information I related to from my own experiences. Enjoyable and lots of good quotes/information to reflect on. Excellent read and would recommend.
Great read with some great lessons learned not only about hiking but how it applies to life! I’ve been a hiker for years and this book really pulled the lessons into perspective!
I love hiking and this book is huge if you do. it is helping keep in the mindset I need to be in not just on trail but in life. It's a short but a great read.
