✳️This book gave me the impression like I was watching a Bollywood web series. All the characters, their personalities and emotions were easy to comprehend and relate. It was as if we knew them face to face. Even the author is one of the secondary characters in the story. I liked that idea 😅. There's a bunch of songs in this book. I enjoyed singing them while I was reading. The lines were quite beautiful. There is much that can be learned from this story. Each incident teaches us an important lesson. And It's truly shocking that this story is inspired from true events.✳️

✳️The cover reminded me of Kdrama and Kpop. I loved it. And the rhyming title, it was really catchy. The language used here was straightforward. The dialogues were in Hindi (Hinglish) and it was translated into English in paranthesis. But this has not reduced the sentiment/impact that the author was trying to convey. I would recommend this book if you're looking for a fast paced emotional read.✳️

It takes us through a tale of friendship,desire, ego and love. It shows us how a person's decisions can turn his life upside down in a fraction of seconds.
KD is a popular singer . But he is egoistic and alcoholic . He has a weakness, Tia - a struggling model hungry for fame.
Isha is a social media queen who is fighting demons from her past relationship. Sameer is her friend . He is pure hearted and believes in real love . He has a feeling for Isha.
It is not just a typical romance novel. It also conveys some messages. It talks about the cyber crimes. It also sheads light about toxic and abusive relationships. Also highlights some other social issues.
The characters are well developed. But I couldn't digest some parts especially the how the police officer reacted when a women raised a complaint about a cyber crime.

I don't know why but I am still not liking the author's writing style, the character development and scenes feel like they are not true. This read felt like an unbelievable Bollywood movie.

As always I don't want to bore you with the summary of the story which is already given by the author above. Let’s dig into the review right away.
Review: This is a story that wraps Love, Lust, Fame, Kindness and Madness in a tangly plot which surprisingly is easier to read. The story begins with suspense and then all the characters and their substories are revealed as the plot progresses forward. There are too many emotions in it and most of them are valid if not some.
The characterization of each of the characters in the story is good. But there are some issues like the past of Isha. I had no clue as to why she behaves the way she does here, maybe that is a continuation of the author’s previous books? I am not sure. But her background could have been portrayed a bit better. Without those explanations it seems like the author wants us to hate Isha which he achieves successfully, but then I couldn’t empathize with her as much as Sameer did at the end.
Though the portrayal of KD is good, with many films in the same niche it seemed a bit cliche. This book says so much about practical abuse that is common in many relationships and it's time that we give some attention to this overshadowed issue. I feel KD’s friend/manager is underrated, his character was the most practical of all and I personally like him the most.
What I found weird is the in between wisdom quotes from the author himself. The writing style the author has chosen is quite familiar with the Indian readers, but the sudden sprinkle of life quotes here and there were quite disturbing. Not only did it rupture the good flow of the plot, it also made each chapter appear as a moral story with a moral at the end. I am sure that was not the intention of the author, so such quotation could have been incorporated along with the thoughts of protagonists or the storyteller. Then again I think that would not suit the third-person/author-friend writing style.
This book has many strong moral opinions in them, which I appreciate. I would encourage you to explore all those opinions in Unbooked and Unhooked
Verdict/Rating: Overall this is a good book, an honest attempt/experimentation(at least it looked like it to me). The author has come up with a good tale, very good characterization and has experimented with his writing style too. The set and pace of the plot is also good. I would give this book a 3.5-⅘ stars for all his efforts.
Recommendation: I would recommend this book to any beginners(readers) as the language is pretty simple and the plot is easy to understand. I finished the book in a couple of hours with ease.

The story of the lives of 4 people who somehow meet and get tangled with each other for the most significant lessons of their lives. It is a nice book combined together in a good way. However, there were a few things which I found a bit problematic personally. But seeing overall it was a different and reality-based book with a different theme highlighting some big issues present within. I had a satisfactory experience reading it.

Sometimes we fall in love at first love but sometimes it takes time, like a chapter by chapter this story took my heart. In the beginning, I was in love with the first character than the second and then loved the whole book. Thank you to the author for writing such a great book that everyone wants to read and never want the story to complete.

Review- Book is amazing for those who are kind of bollywood fan (like me ), full of emotions, characters, heartbreak love,lust and a beautiful story line . Full of emotions yet written in a very simple way so reader can easily capture the light.
My personal favourite character was of Isha , the way she has been presented looks like she is a diva 🌸
Apart from story , you can feel the complications of now a days relationship , love and promises. This is the point where it shows reality.
And yes first love is never the last one.......
I liked the way all different point of story line of characters collided .

Unhooked & unbooked is a tale about life and love. It shows how our life is not just about us. Our story is entwined with many others to form one big picture. The plot revolves around how the lives of 4 different characters come together one night. KD is an egoistic superstar, Tia is a struggling model, and Sameer is an engineering student who is madly in love with his long time friend, Isha, a social media diva who is still trying to cope with her last break-up.
The book captures the dark side of fame well. Oscar Wilde once said that artists are weird, they do anything in the world to gain a reputation. As soon as they have one, they seem to want to throw it away. KD is no exception. He struggled his way from the bottom to reach the top. But along with fame, comes ego and arrogance. And though he has a kind and compassionate side to him, it is unable to stop his downfall. What happens with KD and Tia shows how media acts for TRP at the expense of other people's mental health, giving no care in the world about how it will destroy someone’s personal life or career. I got the impression that the author has tried to weave Isha and KD’s story together. Both deal with fame at different levels and struggle to handle it with dignity. They seemed to have a superiority complex. But at the same time, deep down they have a kind heart. Finally, both make some wrong decisions that can almost ruin their lives.
Another main theme of the story is how people are becoming victims of cybercrimes. It accurately represents the current status of relationships in today’s time where people judge each other only based on their superficial features. It also highlights the public's refusal to take cyberbullying seriously.
At last, the story portrays how we always get a second chance in life and love. Sometimes we need to close the door to our messed-up past to move on to better things. The plot is fast-paced, written in short crisp chapters and can be easily read in one sitting. I’d recommend it for beginner readers as the plot and writing style are easy to understand.

The book cover and the title "Unhooked and Unbooked" set the theme of the book perfectly. The title throws light on the status of relationships in the current generation.But the book cover presents the yearning we all have for that one everlasting love that we deeply desire. The author, "Dr. Aditya," has done a good job exploring the behavioural aspects of youth, which are reflected in the novel.
This is the story of four characters with different journeys who tragically collide one night.
The four protagonists are
'KD is a rockstar who is eccentric and egoistic.heart of gold which is overshadowed by his self-centeredness and obsessive behaviour towards his love interest. Will this lead to his downfall?
'Sameer is a smart boy madly in love with his friend but is friend zoned. Will he be loved back?
Isha-Gorgeous and makes heads turn everywhere she goes. A Social media sensation. But is love in her cards?
'Tia is an upcoming actress who is dedicated to her love. But is love enough to sustain a relationship?
The novel takes on their journey, which includes both painful past memories and present-day affairs. Their choices land them in a mess.

This is one of the many songs and poems that we can read in the book that beautifully captures the feelings of a lover who cannot and will not survive without his love. The books give one such example of a love story, which is truly amazing. Reflective of today's fast-paced world, love is a mere comfort or an arrangement. But this love reaffirms the existence of love and spreads its wings to embrace us and fill our hearts with hope.
Don’t give a fuck about your first love, give a round of applause for your second love, because they taught you that love still exists after you thought it could never happen again. True, we are sometimes so engulfed by the pain of the past and so deeply involved in the search for what has been lost that we ignore what is beside us and yearning to be with us.The author has sent out a realistic message through this quote and the story of the protagonists.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this fast-paced book, which reflects the many passions and follies of the human heart and yet makes us believe that there is always a second chance in life and love. All we need to do is embrace it.

The books give one such example of a love story, which is truly amazing. Reflective of today's fast-paced world, love is a mere comfort or an arrangement. But this love reaffirms the existence of love and spreads its wings to embrace us and fill our hearts with hope.
Don’t give a fuck about your first love, give a round of applause for your second love, because they taught you that love still exists after you thought it could never happen again. True, we are sometimes so engulfed by the pain of the past and so deeply involved in the search for what has been lost that we ignore what is beside us and yearning to be with us.The author has sent out a realistic message through this quote and the story of the protagonists.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this fast-paced book, which reflects the many passions and follies of the human heart and yet makes us believe that there is always a second chance in life and love. All we need to do is embrace it.

💛 I feel this book mainly deals with current couple scenarios and modern culture. But it does have a good lesson at the end. I did expect a different climax for Tia but still author justified her story right from her perspective.
💛 Personally, I do feel intolerance towards Isha's action, but there is a good lesson followed up for her deeds. Fame is the deadliest drug that makes KD loose his senses. Neatly weaved plot with free flowing language is really intriguing for the readers. It does have some over romantic(/erotic) contents along.
💛 Some people are hurt from inside but don't want to express themselves. Some people don't accept their mistakes and blame others due to ego and arrogance. Some are too naive to give up on close ones. All we need in our life is acceptance and updation of our current version. That gives inner satisfaction and peace. This is what i felt the theme of the book after reading.

The book is a mixture of two love stories. One story is of a famous singer KD falling in love with his fan Tia who was a struggling actress. The other story is of Sameer and Tia where they are very good friends and where Tia is a extrovert girl and was in a habit to party and enjoy her life on her own terms.

At the last , there were moments when I felt this should not be ended this way but the author didn't make us sad and end it on a happy note. I would like to say that the language and writing style of this book is very simple, which is a plus point of this book. This is my first read by this author. While reading this book there was a desire to know what happened next in the story and it was this curiosity that I quickly finished the entire plot with interest.
Two stories run together in this book, how they connect at the climax, you will get to know after reading this book. The first story is about a superstar singer KD. KD struggled a lot before becoming a star singer, but it is said that the intoxication of stardom drowns everyone. KD is also a brash arrogant superstar who doesn't appreciate the people around him, not even his love interest Tia.

That's a basic list, but this book is all of that and SO MUCH MORE. I know 100% that UNHOOKED AND UNBOOKED will be one of my best reads of 2022.

This is an enthralling read penned down by the author Dr. Aditya. The best thing about this novel is that the author has jotted down keeping in mind the realistic portrayal of life. He also expresses KD's story as being fictional while Sameer's Story was inspired by real-life events, which made the read more intriguing. I easily finished this novel in one day as I was so curious about what will happen next. Furthermore, the unexpected twists and turns added to the perfect tune of the read. All the characters were well-developed and well-balanced. The characters were so relatable that I thought it was a Kdrama or a Bollywood movie. There is much that can be learned from this story. That's a basic list, but this book is all of that and SO MUCH MORE. I know 100% that UNHOOKED AND UNBOOKED will be one of my best reads of 2022.
I will not bore you with the summary of this book as it is already given by the author. Let me get straight toward the review.
This is an enthralling read penned down by the author Dr. Aditya. The best thing about this novel is that the author has jotted down keeping in mind the realistic portrayal of life. He also expresses KD's story as being fictional while Sameer's Story was inspired by real-life events, which made the read more intriguing. I easily finished this novel in one day as I was so curious about what will happen next. Furthermore, the unexpected twists and turns added to the perfect tune of the read. All the characters were well-developed and well-balanced. The characters were so relatable that I thought it was a Kdrama or a Bollywood movie. There is much that can be learned from this story. Each incident teaches us an important lesson and it's truly shocking that this story is inspired by true events.
I would 100/100 recommend this book if you're looking for a fast-paced emotional read.

Two couples- four characters each absolutely opposite to each other. The book is a perfect example of 21st century's social media and glamor enwrapped love story.the four characters include KD- a popular singer, at the verge to loose fame due to loose ethics and behavior.Tia, who is a struggling model and seems to use KD for overnight stardom.Isha, a popular social media influencer who is rich and follows the concept of right swipe love relations.Sameer who is a pure hearted nerd deeply in love with Isha but gets friend zoned often.The characters end up being together thus affecting each others lives.The novel answers the whether either of the couple can have their happily ever after or not.
The book represents today's world not only with storyline but also with the language used and writing style. The book is a very quick read. It is not a pin pointed romantic love story instead a combination of lust, envy, obsession and selfishness.It portrays the wide spreading cyber crimes and people reactions towards then. The book gives an idea on how ones discretion is really important to handle complicated situation.

The book traverses through the lives of four characters and their sojourn through the challenges life throws at them.
Two stories run parallel. The first is of KD, an egoistic superstar bordering along narcisstic who is also an alcoholic with anger issues. He loves Tia, a struggling model, and goes all the way to uplift her career. However, his ego gets the better of him so does his addiction to the bottle and uncontrollable rage, and Tia, who loves him back, is forced to leave him.
Parallelly, Sameer is in love with his best friend Isha. Sameer is a nerd, while Isha is a hot outspoken girl who doesn't shy away from flaunting her good looks on social media. She is of a modern outlook and doesn't believe in love after a past betrayal. However, she falls into a trap laid by a suitor. Sameer stands by her every step of the way and eventually, as they emerge from the chasm of turmoil, life throws yet another curve ball.
The author has, towards the end made the stories merge together. So do they all have their happily ever after?

KD is a famous rock star, he is the voice of India. Youth are mad for his songs. He fell in love with a girl and help her to achieve in her career. But later his life turned upside down due to his egoistic and eccentric attitude.
Isha who is a young and attractive girl, spend her life clicking pictures, shopping, and having parties with friends and sometimes with strangers. Got into a series of unfortunate events. Sameer and Shruthi help her to get out of her mental trauma and the present situation.
At first, I couldn't get into the book, cause it exactly gave me Bollywood movie vibes, but after reaching the middle of the book, I somehow connected with the plot and was able to grasp the flow.

A good romance and suspense novel. It is a story of love, friendship, lust and ego. The story revolves under 4 person KD, Tia, Sameer, Isha. KD is a rockstar, who got the fame with lots of struggle but the fame brought ego and arrogance with him. KD fell in love with Tia and soon she became an actor with help of KD and both fell in love with each other. Tia was deeply hurt because of KD and his ego, what will she do? Next comes story of Sameer and Isha, both are good friends. Isha is hurt because of her first love and she doesn't trust in love anymore. She live her life through Instagram and Sameer falling for Isha. Will Sameer confess his love to Isha? Someone is blackmailing Isha. Will Isha be able to fight back? How the two story unite to form a single?
My view:
A story filled with twist and a story of modern era. You'll be able to know how someone's life can change in a night, how fame changes you and your life, and what happens if you lost the fame and how Instagram changes your life. It has some erotic parts in it. You'll feel the love and friendship.

This book is a great read especially for one's who admire fiction. 4 characters are taken as the protagonists in the storyline. Two parallel stories combine to make up a single plot.

So, what do you the same will she accept Sameer as her better half? Know it all yourselves by just diving deep into the storyline.

we follow 4 different characters through two parallel stories told by another character which is the author..yes he is part of the story.
KD 's character showed what fame can do to a egoist person. I first thought Tia is a gold digger but she turned out to be a really good person.
sameer was a really selfless character who helped Isha in the crisis without judging her character which is rare now a day.
Isha had a superiority complex which got shattered and she learnt her lesson.
Both the stories have high drama. The prologue kind of gave away how they were going to meet but that was okay. I liked how the characters crossed the paths and completed the full circle. I constantly felt that the narrator knowing the other story was kind of creepy, but got the explaination in the end.
Many social topics and lots of problems of this generation were discussed in this book and even though thats important I wish those were woven in conversations or with fewer sentences rather than whole paragraph.
To be honest I could not connect to the characters on emotional level maybe because I am not a big fan of typical Bollywood movies and the characters could perfectly fit in such movies which many readers may like. In all a fast paced ,interesting story with lots of ups and downs but a nice ending.
KD 's character showed what fame can do to a egoist person. I first thought Tia is a gold digger but she turned out to be a really good person.
sameer was a really selfless character who helped Isha in the crisis without judging her character which is rare now a day.
Isha had a superiority complex which got shattered and she learnt her lesson.
Both the stories have high drama. The prologue kind of gave away how they were going to meet but that was okay. I liked how the characters crossed the paths and completed the full circle. This book is a tale of friendship ,love ,ego, desire and betrayal . The book beautifully reflects that life is so unpredictable and all we need is to always 'trust the process'.
KD the superstar singer, an alcoholic and egoistic person, for whom success was everything in his life .Where as Tia is a struggling actor, hungry for fame as well as the biggest fan of KD. When they came across each other, little did they knew that they will change each others life forever.
On the other hand Sameer, a bookworm, is deeply in love with social media Queen Isha who was struggling with her past. But for Isha Sameer was 'just a friend'. But then when life took some unexpected turns her 'friend' Sameer comes in rescue for her.
All these four lives gets tangled with each other and becomes interconnected and life turns upside down within a fraction of second with just a single decision.
'Unhooked and unbooked' is a perfect page turner and more than just a love story. I loved the story line and character development so much.Overall it was a pleasure to read @adityanighhot 's writing.
