Holy crap what just happened?! My blood is boiling I am so upset about this story. I get it is mafia and dark and blah blah blah… I love those things. I love when the Villain gets there’s and all is right with the world. I even like anti hero’s that act contrite, see the error of their ways, and ask forgiveness. What I can’t stand when they shoulder shrug and say yeah, sorta sorry, that was a little messed up but I am so alpha it should be ok. This dude wasn’t alpha he was a-hole.
Bain needs to be hung up by his balls. I hate him with a passion. In my opinion, he can be a monster to everyone else but NOT our heroine which he was. The fact that this author, who I have always LOVED and will continue to love with a passion, rolled everything into a happy little ending that infuriates me.
This heroine was violated (no not rape) but she had her choices taken away and I am FURIOUS because even after she confronted Bain, he didn’t feel bad enough in my opinion. Messing with her birth control, NOT OK. Also, in real life his babies would most likely have not been ok. They would have been on equipment for months and possibly had lifelong issues. I know, I work with them. To put someone on fertility drugs without their knowledge is SOOO DANGEROUS. Heck it is dicey with their consent.
I have never come to the end of a book before and thought, I DON’T want this couple together at all. I wish Ryan the cousin,would have kicked Bain’s ass, I don’t care that he was a “good” dad to his daughters. He would kill anyone who did to his girls what he did to their mother. Grrrr
So yeah this book is a “HELL NO” for me. No I won’t give up on this author either cause I LOVE LOVE LOVE her rockstar series. They are some of my ALL TIME FAVS.

My rating: 4 stars
What I liked: I really liked Bain(H) and his love for Ciana(h). Yeah he did things wrong but his heart was in the right place. Loved how he took care of his grandmother(even though it was a little late), his friend, and especially his ex mistress. I also liked how he gave up that side of his life just for her and his daughters.
What I didn’t like: Bain was stupid. If he had no qualms about killing his grandmother then why didn’t he just do that sooner, especially since he knew she was crazy. I also wished that the nurse who was helping him would have lost her job and I really wanted Ciana to confront her.
How hot was it: 3 out 5
Details/Triggers: H is the head of the Irish mafia and stalks the h to get back at his cousin (because his grandmother wanted the h’s family to pay for killing her daughter). The H however wants the h to be his queen and falls in love with her. They have a bumpy road but get their HEA. Just like other mafia books, this book has killing, kidnapping and a j/p alpha hero. Also, H is supposedly engage to ow (that is who his grandmother wanted him to marry) but he never planned on going through with it.
Final thoughts: I definitely enjoyed this one more than the last book. I kind of want Connor to get a book. I also can’t wait to read Zariah’s book.

A pretty good addition to the Next Gen stories.
This one was full of revenge, traitors, conflicted feelings, and everyone's favorite... mafia babies!
Ciana... I liked her. You could clearly see family meant everything to her and she'd do anything to protect those dear to her. I do wish she was a little more kick-butt (like, I wish she could've exacted revenge on Cori) but her 'condition' didn't really let her channel a ninja-assassin very well...
Bain/Torin... I can see how readers could fall for him. He's over-the-top possessive, smooth, powerful, is all about his woman (Hello, offer-to-get-his-junk-tattooed!), and has that sexy Irish accent. Unfortunately, the bad outweighed the good when it came to him. It's one thing to pay someone to watch her but the things he had that person do... Now that pissed me the f*ck off. Shooting her brothers? Not cool, Bain. Not. F*cking. Cool. And taking so long to deal with Sheena and Cori. Gah!
And call me #disappointed but is it me, or have the sex scenes gotten tamer? We got a bit of island lovin' but NOTHING after the pregnancy?! Only a fade-to-black, brief encounter?!! I miss that Terri Anne Browning steam! Am I just not into the characters like I was in the past or are there truly less sexy times in the latest books? *sigh*
Side Note: The Angel's Halo MC Next Gen title is deceiving. Definitely not an MC book if that's what you're looking for.

heroine is a marysue hero abusive and controlling stallkes her most time and forces her to get pregnant not to mention kidnappes and holds from family and halph the plot was in privius book it also contains this gem i let out the breath i didnt realise i was holding

I love this author. I have met her & her husband and own several of her paperbacks.
I read the genres that I like and I don’t apologize for not liking the ones that I don’t.
I like MC romances and am not a fan of mafia stories.
I love the Angel's Halo series. I don’t read the Vitucci Mafiosos series. I don’t mind when the series storylines and characters crossover, The author makes sure that I need to know the important details when that happens.
This book was not an Angel's Halo MC Next Generation book, it was a Vitucci Mafiosos Next Generation book.
If you like mafia romances, you will probably enjoy it.
Personally, I feel duped into buying.

Amazingly full of emotion!
5 stars all the way! Terri Anne Browning knows her way around a book. She has always brought her a game when it comes to her writing. I have never been disappointed in her stories and would absolutely recommend this to any anyone. Of course check your trigger warnings.

Cruel Surrender had you on the edge of your seat from the very first chapter. Secrets are mounting, deception is high but the one thing that can't be denied is the connection that Ciana and Bain have. As love and obsession become one these two will have you on the edge of your seat as families and revenge become intertwined. Bain makes mistake after mistake in his plight to make Ciana his which might cost him her trust. This story builds with heat, passion, loyalty and devotion to an ending that will steal your heart.

I did not want to like Bain but with each page I turned I fell a little more in love with him just like Ciana did. He really had two sides to love, the ruthless villain and the loving businessman. This book made me laugh , cry and at times cringe a little. It kept me wanting wanted to know what secret would be revealed next. I have really enjoyed all the books so far in this Next Gen series. I cannot wait to read more!!

A story I didn’t know I needed😍
From the previous book that was in this series, we get a small glimpse into Bain and Ciana’s story alongside that of Nova and Ryan….but this book focuses more on how Bain and Ciana meet, along with some more surprises I definitely didn’t expect and some that I did because of the previous book😳
That said I really enjoyed this story and how this couple overcomes the differences between their families to essentially merge❣️Can’t wait for more❤️

Angels Halo MC Next Generation book 8. This was a fabulous story. Twisty, hella WTF, high drama, action and angsty AF. Ciana and Bain aka Torrin was an emotional rollercoaster on steroids. Love him or hate him he made this book a live wire. Ciana at times made me cry but she's kind of bad ass herself. We got glimpses of her in other books and love or hate her she makes him human. Freaking good read.

LOVED IT
So this story was a little different than what Terri usually writes, but it did not disappoint. Bain is someone that you can’t help but love, and yet you hate him just as much! I loved getting to see the other side of things that happened in previous books but also this story line in general was phenomenally constructed. 10/10 recommend any and all things TAB!!

Cruel Surrender was the eighth book in the Angel’s Halo MC Second Generation by Terri Anne Browning.
I’m taking a break from my normal review process at the moment but a few quick thoughts: I really loved both Ciana and Bain/Torin. It was suspenseful and enjoyable. I doubt it was realistic at times but I loved it anyway. It was a great mafia story tucked into the Halo MC series.

WOW!
One emotional roller coaster ride that didn’t disappoint. Bain thought the way to have her was to deceive her, but it all blew apart. Now how does he get her back with all that has been done? Definitely recommend this book and series!!

Awesome Read
I think I'm in love with Bain, this book really hit all the feels for me - you get the alpha male, you get the caring male and you get the one who will die if you don't feel the same way he does - he'll even fight family for you. Ciana can't help but fall in love.

Cruel Surrender, what can I say, Terri Anne has done it agin, loved this book and Bain/Torrin was one of the best Alphaholes I have read about in a while.

Very little to do with the Angels Halo, more the mafia. I liked it but... I just felt it was missing a little something. Loved the way they first connected, creeped out a bit by his pics. I would have liked a scene with her confronting the NP.
