Madelyn' Pulaski's house is haunted, or rather that's what she claims. Her new therapist, Judy Haig, isn't as convinced. Despite the contrasting views, the two continue to meet week-to-week, and slowly unravel the truth behinds whats haunting her.
What an intense, emotional, creepy rollercoaster of a book. From the get go I was drawn into this world and entranced with the characters. It had just the right amount of mystery, horror and emotional turmoil to keep me turning the pages. I can not believe this is a debut novel. I can not wait for the sequel!
I felt it was a bit slow getting into it in the beginning, but it quickly picked up pace and I struggled to put the book down. The story was very well written, very easy to follow. I'm trying to predict what happens throughout the story, and each one of my conclusions were wrong. This was a great read to start September and I can't wait to read more by this talented author.
I really enjoyed Low Spirits. The characters were all really well developed and interesting. It was very intense, and I really enjoyed the mystery aspect of the horror elements. It was suspenseful and captivating. I can't wait to see what's next for the characters.
