Daria
My ex taking our daughters to Disney Land is his latest way to prove Dad Rules and Mom Sucks.

While they're riding roller coasters, I'm taking a trip of my own—a long deserved island getaway for one. And I'm letting my eldest's swim coaches stay at my place while we're all gone, and their apartment is fumigated.

Except a last minute work emergency means I'm stuck at home, rather than lying on a beach enjoying the view.

First time I see Colin wandering around the house shirtless, I realize the view has come to me.

First time Tanner offers me an entirely different type of vacation—the no-clothes-horizontal-grind kind—I'm so very tempted.

But I can't hook up with a man almost a decade younger than me, and definitely not two of them. Can I?

Open to Love

Yes, this is definitely hot. 🔥🔥🔥 I mean, two hot younger guys and a single mom lose, or rather find, themselves in each other in a variety of ways. Plus, swords cross so even more delicious. But this is more than that. It's a great love story with hurdles and pitfalls, triumph and adversity, love and acceptance. 🤗❤🤗

'I was so wrong— this wasn’t safety, it was purity combined with intoxication.' --Daria Lane

Daria's first priority is her girls, Alana and Harmony, which I appreciate that she often puts their needs above all else. I love how she consistently makes sure that Tanner and Colin are aware of this. I also love how Alana plays matchmaker. 😍

'And I knew I wanted them both. In my bedroom, in my life, and in my future.' --Daria Lane

The long brewing chemistry between Colin and Tanner is palpable. I love how it plays out with stops and starts and plenty of trepidation. Even heartbroken, Colin keeps his wits about him.

Ok…..can Hallmark make an adult movie from this precious love story!? It had the perfect mix of sex and romance and polygamy(ish)
Did I hug my kindle when Tanner told Colin he loved him…yes
Did I hug and squeal when Tanner and Colin told Daria they are there for everything….YAS 😭
Honestly, it was the cute love story that got me. Don’t get me wrong, the sex 🤌🏽 but the whole romance behind it….looooove!

Struggling to find a balance between a busy career and raising two young daughters, Daria has put her own needs on the back burner. So, when vacation plans change suddenly, and, with her daughter’s swim coaches now underfoot, how long can Daria resist the ever-present allure of Colin and Tanner?

I liked Daria’s confident personality and dry sense of humour. I enjoyed the cautious dance between the three temporary housemates, as they explored their budding attraction through some serious flirting, sexy innuendo and the execution of several NSFW fantasies. The journey to their sweet HEA was not without several hurdles and a little heartache, however.

This is a well written story told through the POV’s of the three main characters. There’s plenty of drama, angst, and super-hot chemistry, along with several seriously steamy MMF and MM encounters. I received an Advance Reader Copy from the author, and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book feels like it has more than its fair share of family drama. From the individual wants and needs of our leading characters to those of the family and friends around them, Daria, Colin, and Tanner’s lives are a spider’s web of complications. Having it told from the point of view of all three characters, I think made my emotional connection to the story very strong. I could see it and empathize with everything they were each experiencing. I was quickly pulled into their world, and I was desperate to find out how they were going to navigate to their happy ever after. I kind of love where the author leaves them, but I hate that I have to let go of these characters already.

Okay I'm really partial to Daria as she is an older woman, divorced and jointly raising her two daughters with her ex-busband. She crushes on her oldest daughter's swim coaches but keeps it professional until she allows them to stay at her residence while she and the girls are away on vacation. Only the girls go with their dad to Disneyland and her vacation to Hawaii is cancelled due to a work emergency, so what is a girl to do but enjoy two beautiful men. As steamy as this story is the humor is off the charts incredible. So worth reading but then I am biased to this author and her work.

The Roommates
By Allyson Lindt
Main Characters: Daria, Tanner, and Colin
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
5 out of 5 stars
This is a contemporary mmf younger men older women romance. My favorite trope. I love that the three of them can work out the differences and that the men also love Daria's two girls by her ex-husband. I love that the story is told from all three POVs. This is one of my favorite books by this author.

A Realistic Love Story for Three
This story features Daria, mom to two, and Colin and Tanner, Daria’s girls swim coaches. I loved how complex and mature this love story was - there’s not just the adults’ feelings to consider, there’s children’s feelings, business partner’s feelings, job stress, family stress - in short, real life. Ms. Lindt’s stories just keep getting better,, and this one was top notch.

A sweet romance

I was pleasantly surprised by how much romance was included in a book that seemed like it was going to be mostly steam. I enjoyed the way the MCs' relationships developed on the way to their HEA.

When you add proximity to friendship and unstoppable attraction you get an explosive reaction! Daria finds herself unwilling to fight her attraction to both Tanner and Colin, while Colin is finally ready to put his heart on the line and admit his true feelings for Tanner. And Tanner discovers a new side of himself. A great story of discovery with both sweet and steamy scenes.

Jumping in, feet first

Colin, Tanner and Daria knew each other as a parent with two daughters and swim coaches with two students. Daria is a divorcee with a cheating, crappy ex. Ex, Joe, was an ok father. He did pay attention to his daughters, if for no other reason than to show off. Daria and her brother Dustin were two unconventional thinking people. They definitely were beating to different drummers. But Daria was an excellent mother and supported her daughters with a roof over their head, thanks to Joe and with competitive activities. The two swim coaches were best friends from high school, through college and now business partners. Also Colin was bisexual, which Tanner knew for as long as he was best friends with Colin. Colin was madly in love with the clueless Tanner. Tanner was so into training to make the Olympic swim team, again. He had been in the Olympics eight years ago but a torn rotor cuff had sidelined his career. Tanner was working so hard to qualify, his last year of eligibility. The two best friends/roommates needed a place to stay while their apartment was being fumigated for a week. Enter Daria. She was going to Hawaii while the girls Alana, thirteen and Harmony, six, were going to Disneyland with Joe and his new wife/girlfriend, not important. After Tanner and Colin were settled into Maria's house for the week and Daria was heading out the door, work called in the name of Bernie, one of the partners at the company she worked at. Good ole Bernie promised Daria the moon practically, if she would work the entire week for a multimillionaire $$$ project. Of course now she was stuck in her own house with her daughters off on vacation with their dad. There had been mutual attraction all the way around. Colin liked Tanner AND Daria. Daria liked Tanner AND Colin. Tanner liked Daria. Hmmmm. Boys meet girl. Boys really like girl. And yes, they all land in bed together. Unpredictable things happen. Older daughter almost catches the adults in bed. Almost but she's not stupid. At a regular day where the girls are with their swim coaches, Colin falls hard on the edge of the pool. And....... Again, unpredictable things happen. Will they all come to an agreement. Colin and Tanner have found out that Daria is also bi. Her brother, Dustin also has a polyamorous relationship with a female and a male, threesome. So read the book to fill in the rest of the storylines. You won't be sorry you did.

Water Wings Warped

Daria has always put her daughters first and when their dad decides to take them to Disneyland at the same time she was planning a vacation to Hawaii, she knows they’ll have a good time, but now what? No time to think how she offered her home to her daughter’s swim coaches for the week because as she’s walking out the door to the airport her boss calls her to demand she give attention to a project she thought was finished. Now she’s stuck at home with the younger hotties working and wondering if they mind her oogling them. Heat rises, bodies connect, sparks fly and her daughter walks in on a compromising scene that splashes water on the reality of Daria’s priorities. It’s too bad because she was hoping Colin and Tanner would realize they’re into each other and the possibilities were so enticing. Can she move past the embarrassment and still be friends or will they forever be awkward at swim practice? Another excellent story in the long line of great characters and plot lines from Allyson Lindt.

The Gift Of Exploring The Unknown -
Daria thought she was only helping out Colin and Tanner when she offered them her home, but it turned out to be the start of a journey filled with a missed vacation, out of this world sexcapades, personal growths, realising their dreams and creating a much needed family. Their journey was by no means smooth, but once the obstacles were cleared, the happiness was truly felt by each one of them.

This was a really phenomenal read that I just can’t describe, but I can sure say, deserved every single second of the time that I spent reading it. I went through a myriad of emotions whilst reading it, but the best part was the happiness I felt when they got their happily ever after. This book deserves to be on your must read list.

I Would Give The Roommates 10 Stars If I Could

I enjoy all of this authors books, but this one is my absolute favorite! I first read it as a serial in the author's newsletter and loved it. I love the characters - Daria and her daughters are wonderful, and Tanner and Colin are the best. I love the OW/YM trope. I love H's that are swimmers - they really do have the sexiest bodies. I love Colin's unrequited love for Tanner - this one has all the feels plus super-steam. To paraphrase Valley Girl (1984), "It's just like tripendicular, you know?" I would definitely recommend this book.

I received a free copy of this book, and this review was posted voluntarily, but I also preordered this book.

The Roommates was a great, quick read.

Daria is an over-worked and underappreciated single mom with a vacation just within reach -- her girls are going over to their Disney Dad's, she's renting out her house for two weeks to her daughter's cute swimming coaches, and her bags are packed...until her boss throws a massive wrench in her plans.

Now -- if it had been me, I would've taken my laptop to Hawaii and worked from the plane, but I digress...

Keeping her end of the bargain, she continues to let swimming coaches Colin and Tanner stay at her home. Colin and Tanner have a best friend relationship, but harbor secret crushes on one another... and enter Daria.

They have a fun little romp that turns into more - and I gave this book 3 stars because I got tired of reading it.

A tale of love lost, love unanswered and how three people coming together can finally find everything they thought was out of their reach. Daria offered her home to Colin and Tanner to stay in while their apartment is being fumigated because she thought she would be out of town on vacation. Things fall apart when she is forced to stay and work but that change allowed several things to be set in motion. It was wonderful writing that allowed us to see the relationships between the three change and grow and not to mention the hot scenes. Great book and one I am glad I read.

I picked up this book on a whim and I’m really glad I did. I wasn’t expecting it to be so beautiful. Sure, the sex was great, but the connection between Daria, Colin, and Tanner kept me hooked. The story is very well written, and there was enough plot to have me rooting for the characters. It was a super sweet love story and had me hand-to-heart more than once.

My only criticism was that the “love” part of it was a bit quick for me (except Colon’s love for Tanner), but overall, it really doesn’t matter. I look forward to reading more by Allyson.

Is it a literary masterpiece? Hell no.
But is it a fun time? Absolutely.

If you read Pucking Around and liked it but wished it was 400 pages shorter - this is the book you’re looking for.

This is a super short read, so there’s only so much character development you can expect. The premise is silly and absurd but sure ok. And then they all fall in love and want to be in a long-term throuple after having sex like 3 times but again… are you here for the literature or for the fun? It’s absurd but rather fun.

🥵🥵🥵 I mean you know the premise of this book right??

A sexy, angsty, feelings overload…

A vacation gone wrong, an opportunity for a fantasy, instant attraction turns into more. But can a single mom of two be part of a triad relationship? In this “world” trios are not unusual and the trouples make it work long term, but this is brand new. The storytelling brings you into the lives of Daria, Tanner, and Colin giving us each POV so we feel their emotions and root for them to succeed, together. Loved this heartfelt tale.

This was a super steamy, super sweet, older single mom, younger man, friends to lovers, poly romance. I know, that's a lot to unpack. There is a lot going on in this book. This was my first Allyson Lindt book. I am officially a huge fan. I truly enjoyed this feel good book. I kind of felt bad for Joe and the end. But after it was explained what he did, I got over my feelings quick. I loved this swoony HEA!

I enjoyed this! I especially liked the chemistry between Colin and Tanner, which I didn't really expect to like that much. I also liked the chemistry between the three of them.

It wasn't as super spicy as I was expecting, but it was good enough 👌🏻

The writing was nice, easy to read, funny, heartwarming at times. There was a good balance between spice and storyline, character- and relationship development.

This was a fun basic read! Just interesting enough to read through. The characters were nice enough.

Tanner was the least fleshed out character and a little painful to read about but altogether it was a good read. I’d give a 3.5 if I could. My first throuple/triad romance/smut and it def was smutty lol. But not as much as you might imagine believe it or not. If you’re between two serious books and need something a little light and fun and smutty, this should be your next pick.

While Daria’s ex has the kids, she plans a trip of her own and is letting a couple swim coaches stay at her place while she is gone. When a work emergency has her missing her trip, she is sharing her place with Tanner and Colin. Soon sparks are flying between the three. Fast-paced read with loads of drama and steam. Great characters with intense chemistry and sizzling scenes. I liked it.

This was a good light read with a hot new relationship between 2 best friends and a newer friend. There were some details I would have liked to be included but overall I enjoyed it. I especially liked that it wasn't as tech heavy as many of the author's other books can be. Can't wait for Brooke's book!
