Cowboys make the best friends, but can they also make the best boyfriends?
Wyatt Hamilton has been my best friend since I was in diapers. He is the yin to my yang and we’ve always been inseparable. But now I’m trying to break away because I’m ready to find a man that looks at me as more than his best friend. I’m looking for a boyfriend and a husband and I’m not going to find him if Wyatt Hamilton is always hanging around me like some sort of overprotective big brother.
He considers me his favorite cowgirl, but I’m looking for a man that just wants to make me his woman. But Wyatt isn’t getting the hint that I need my space. I’m doing everything in my power to ensure that he sees that I’m now a woman and I’m looking for a man. Even if that means that we can’t be in each other’s lives as much anymore. I never expected for him to react in the way that he did. I never expected to find out that my best friend wasn’t just a cowboy, but a confident sexy alpha male as well.
4 star review His Favorite Cowgirl (The Brothers At Horseshoe Ranch #3) by JS Cooper
This is the third book in the series was an entertaining read. From the first chapter to the last I was drawn in to the story that Ms. Cooper wove about Wyatt Hamilton and his best friend Sadie Johnson.
Sadie has decided that she needs to find her happily ever after knows that she needs to cut the strings that bind her to Wyatt. He is unhappy that she is looking for love and continues to block any relationship she tries to get off the ground.
Could the feelings that both of them have for one another be more than friendship? Do they take a chance that they can move from friends to lovers and in doing so risk their friendship? Everyone around them knows that Wyatt and Sadie belong together but it takes them a while to get on board with it.
This was at times an emotional read and I wanted to yell as the characters frustrated me. The growth of both Wyatt and Sadie was heartwarming to watch as their story developed. The banter was witty and the characters were easy to relate to.
Oh word this book was so bad. The 2 main characters are 25 years old but they sound and act like 16 year olds. I just can't do childish characters. And why does this author feel the need to use the characters name in almost every sentence?? "Nice way to talk about your best friend, Wyatt Hamilton" You're so rude, Wyatt" "Whatever Wyatt" "You're so sexist, Wyatt Hamilton" "Really, Wyatt?" "Oh, Wyatt, you sound like my grandmother" "Oh, Wyatt Hamilton, you are a weird one" "No way, Wyatt "I am a woman, Wyatt Hamilton" WE.GET.IT!!!! His name is Wyatt and her name is Sadie!!! Please stop repeating it over and over and over and over........ It really is such a pity. Friends to lovers are my favourite genre but this was brutal. I had to stop at chapter 6 :(
I was given this Advanced Readers Copy for an honest review.
I honestly Love JS Cooper's books. This is Book 3 in The Brothers at Horeshoe Ranch. It's Wyatt Hamilton story with of course Sadie! Wyatt is the youngest of 8 very handsomely gorgeous brothers. Sadie is an only child. They have been close childhood friends. This is their story and it's a beautiful storyline of love realized, finally! They are 25 and I was kind of frustrated that it took so long for them to get together! It's a witty, slow burn romance, with interesting secondary characters, besides of course the Hamilton brother's. Wyatt and Sadie play at jealousy games, and kissing and touching, but nothing that is a level 5 steaminess. As the storyline progresses, and it's short and sweet, Sadie makes Wyatt realize their attraction and feelings. I like he because she dated but did not meet mister right, maybe because it's Wyatt?! This is a book I was anticipating and JS Cooper did not disappoint! A must read, I so recommend it!
I’m torn. I enjoyed the series but seemed to childish for me. Let me explain. Wyatt and Sadie where childhood friends that grew to become best friends. Both 25 and stuck in life in wanting different things. Sadie wanted to find love while Wyatt wanted to be free. This story was about their internal struggles and their journey in opening their eyes to what was already in front of them. The story had laughs and even a few turns. Now here’s the thing: these were 25 year olds that sounded like they were 16-18 year olds. The way it read at times was hard to picture them as adults; I had to keep reminding myself. But… besides that it was a cute HEA.
Was provided an ARC and I volunteered to provide a review.
Wyatt and Sadie were sweet together and I loved how Wyatt finally opened his eyes once Sadie decided she needed more than friendship. The story is somewhat of a slow burn but has its comedy, sweetness, and steam and both characters go through a growth as their relationship progresses.
His Favorite Cowgirl (The Brothers at Horseshoe Ranch Book 3)

BFF to so much more?
This is book three in Horseshoe Ranch series that will eventually fallow all seven Hamilton sons. Wyatt and Sadie have been best friends for ever and the thought of more terrifies both of them. They are each other’s everything and adding a deeper relationship could ruin everything. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.
Authors Blurb: Wyatt Hamilton has been my best friend since I was in diapers. He is the yin to my yang and we’ve always been inseparable. This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
Wyatt Hamilton much like his other brothers dosen't have any trouble with the ladies except one his bestfriend Sadie she's beginning to act strange leave town and want to see guys and date but what about there friendship.
Sadie loves the Hamilton family and wants what Wyatt's parents have a loving relationship but if she keeps hanging around Wyatt no man will ask her out.
When Sadie decides to step out Wyatt looses it she's his Favorite Cowgirl nobody else's. These two will finally cross the line between friendship and lovers but there are bumps in the road Sadie's family and Wyatt is seeking acknowledgement from his family on a business venture also Wyatt may want Sadie but is he ready to commit.
There are allot of things going on here Sadie's family trouble and Wyatt is unsure of himself for grown adults at times they came of as imature in the ways they express themselves with each other and family so it was a little distracting. The Olivio brothers were kinda creepy also but it's just my personal opinion so this book could be a 5 for me but the interaction of the characters lead me to give it 4 stars.
Really enjoyed this lough out loud, sweetly sexy, laugh out loud fun and action packed adventure filled with exciting and engaging charters, witty banter, heart racing twists and undeniable passion. A truly heartwarming journey from lifetime friends to so much more..... Great reading.
The Hamiltons Keep Entertaining In This Steamy Cowboy Series! Wyatt & Sadie’s Best Friend Romance Is About Growing Up & Being Open To Change – About Dreaming, Taking Risks, & Finding Purpose. It Centers Around Family & Life On The Ranch.
ABOUT THE BROTHERS AT HORSESHOE RANCH SERIES:
This is the third book in a series about the Hamilton family of Horseshoe Ranch in Bitterroot Valley, Montana. Ranger and Amelia Hamilton have been married for forty years, but they haven’t lost that spark. They quibble and argue, and have fun banter, but they are united in their love of family. Running a ranch is hard work, and keeping profitable is an ever-increasing challenge. They hope to have grandchildren to enjoy sooner rather than later, but none of their seven sons show signs of taking the institution of marriage seriously. Amelia is feisty and independent, and much to her sons’ chagrin, she has stepped a little too far in trying to set them up. They are all headstrong and set in their ways, and though they love their mama, they are not about to give in to her shenanigans.
The oldest is Beau, who works closely with Ranger to keep the ranch running and profitable. Next is Austin and then Chet. Flint, Huck, and Knox follow. Wyatt is the baby of the family.
Book one, Accidental Mail Order Bride, is Austin and Lucy’s story.
Beau and Olivia’s story follows in book two, Most Eligible Cowboy. Olivia is Lucy’s best friend.
Wyatt and Sadie have their best-friends-to-lovers story here in His Favorite Cowgirl, book three.
Chet’s story is in book four, and the heartbreaker is falling for Arya/Ariah Waterstone in Most Obnoxious Cowboy (note that the spelling mysteriously changed).
Flint, Huck, and Knox’s stories follow in books five through seven. FROM: ACCIDENTAL MAIL ORDER BRIDE, BOOK 1
Lucy Kensington, twenty-eight, needs some change in her life. She went through a rough year following her mother’s sudden death. Her father had never been in the picture, so it had always just been the two of them. She was born and raised in Brooklyn. Her mother was an artist – vibrant and full of life. Without her as a sounding board and her wise and encouraging words, Lucy is a bit lost. She has her best friend Olivia, but it is unfortunately not enough to erase the city full of memories of her mother. She had fallen for an Italian guy from Queens sometime before her mother’s death, but Lucy finally put an end to that relationship. Mikey had money, but he just wasn’t a good match. He hadn’t been too happy about the breakup, and in the aftermath, Lucy learned that he has ties with the mafia. His refusal to honor her wishes made Lucy all the more desperate to seek change, and the idea of leaving behind the only home she has ever known – and a city she loves – suddenly doesn’t seem so drastic.
When she sees an ad for a mail-order bride, Lucy is feeling particularly vulnerable. The notion is ridiculous in today’s day and age, yet it seems like a perfect opportunity. Lucy dreams of getting married and having a family, so she bites the bullet and answers the ad. It turns out that the ad was placed by the parents of the potential groom, who has no idea what his parents are up to. The more Lucy corresponds with the mother, the more she wants to be part of the family. Amelia is kind and friendly, and although nobody can replace Lucy’s mother, having such a wonderful mother-in-law, someone to be a grandmother to her children one day, would help to fill the empty void. In a leap of faith, Lucy leaves New York and catches a plane to Montana. Lucy goes through a lot in this story, but she eventually earns a happy ending.
Don’t’ forget to download the free bonus epilogue in Austin’s POV via the link at the back of the book.
Austin and Lucy’s romance is a sweet story that centers on family, with a few laugh-out-loud moments. The seven Hamilton sons love their mama and it shows. She plays the role of matchmaker here, but then she sits back and lets nature take its course. The story is nicely written. There are several edits in my ARC version which I assume are cleaned in the final copy. The plot is fairly simple. The characters are light and entertaining. Lucy is perhaps a little too ditzy in the beginning, but she improves. The story is written in first person in Lucy’s POV. I rate this book four stars. FROM: MOST ELIGIBLE COWBOY, BOOK 2
Olivia, twenty-eight, hasn’t had much luck with men. A born New Yorker, she loves the city, but the men she dates don’t seem to know how to appreciate a headstrong woman like herself. She hopes to find someone that sees past the walls she has constructed because underneath her feisty attitude is a woman that just wants to feel loved. Money was always tight in her youth, and as an adult, she has the same struggles. She works at a boutique, which pays the bills but doesn’t leave much to spare. She had dreamed of becoming an interior designer or flipping houses, but she lacks both education and funds, so those dreams never became a reality. When Olivia’s best friend Lucy suddenly falls in love and moves to Montana, Olivia wants to see her new life with her own eyes.
Beau Hamilton, probably in his mid-thirties, is the oldest of seven boys. Recently featured as the most eligible bachelor in Montana in the Bozeman Daily, he is starting to regret the attention. With his position in the family comes great responsibility, and he feels the weight of the world on his shoulders. Though he and his brothers each have a trust, the responsibility of running Horseshoe Ranch will ultimately pass on to him one day. He has a love of classic movies and had dreamed of a career as a filmmaker, but he gave those dreams up for the sake of the family ranch. He loves Montana and the cowboy lifestyle, and he enjoys time with family. He prefers to share the responsibility with his brothers, but as his father has explained, too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the soup. Ultimately, the survival of Horseshoe Ranch depends upon Beau’s ability to adapt it to the changing business environment. His father can trace some of his heritage to the Crow Tribe, and their ranch has been in the family for generations. Beau won’t consider selling any of their vast acreage off because he feels responsible for its preservation, but that limits his options. As farming methods have modernized, cash flow has dwindled, and although money is still plentiful, that won’t be the case forever unless some bold steps are taken.
Beau is laser-focused on turning things around. He recently watched his younger brother Austin fall hard and fast for Lucy, and the couple will soon need a ranch house of their own – as will his other brothers in time. That expense and responsibility, in addition to supporting their employees and the community, have him moody and somber these days. He has had a few girlfriends over the years, though none he ever considered settling down with. He hadn’t much pictured himself going down that road until seeing Austin’s recent happiness. When Olivia arrived to visit with Lucy, he found himself attracted to her like no other. She is independent and feisty, and he cannot seem to get enough of her. But Olivia will be returning to New York eventually, and he cannot afford a distraction now. Long-distance is just not an option. He has to put his personal life on hold until the ranch’s future is secure. He doesn’t mind a little fun with Olivia in the meantime as long as she understands that he can make no promises. The couple faces a few challenges, but they eventually find a happy ending.
Beau and Olivia’s sweet and steamy romance sucks you into the world of the Horseshoe Ranch. It is a world of family, hard work, and appreciation for nature. The story is well-written. The plot is fairly simple. The Horseshoe Ranch world continues to grow and be enriched as the series expands. The characters are nicely developed. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Beau and Olivia. I rate this book 4.5 stars. IN THIS BOOK:
This story opens as Austin and Lucy, and now Beau and Olivia, are engaged. Arya and her niece Eloise are now staying with the Hamiltons as Arya tries to look for employment so that she and Eloise can settle in the area. Chet, the heartbreaker, still seems to be a little too interested in her. Horseshoe Ranch is still facing some financial issues. Changes must be made to change with the times and remain profitable. The Hamilton sons have all returned home to pitch in.
Wyatt Hamilton, twenty-five, is the youngest of the infamous Hamilton brothers. As the youngest, he has never been taken too seriously. That hasn’t bothered him much. He is rich and handsome. He gets whatever girl he sets his eyes on. And he has a best friend that he can always count on. He and Sadie have known one another their entire lives – their mothers are friends – but they’ve been best friends since she stood up against some bullies for him in kindergarten. She is a part of his family – like a sister – and a fixture in his life. She practically lives at the Hamilton home. They argue, but she always forgives him in the end. People often think they are secretly a couple, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. He and Sadie never wanted to mess up their friendship by doing anything stupid, and they’ve stuck to that. It hasn’t even been a temptation. Wyatt has no plans to marry. None of his brothers did either, but recently his oldest two have gotten all soppy and romantic. Unfortunately, it seems to have rubbed off on Sadie, who is moodier than ever and now seems determined to find her one true love. His mother tells him things will change between them once Sadie marries, but he doesn’t believe it. It is a distraction when Wyatt really needs to focus on the ranch. He wants to help out, and he has finally discovered something that inspires him. He has been looking into horseracing for a few months now, and he thinks he has a plan.
Sadie Johnson, twenty-five, has been feeling the blues as of late. She is normally happy and cheerful, but watching Lucy and Olivia find love has made her realize just how much she wants it herself. Her best friend Wyatt is no help at all. He has never had a problem finding dates or hooking up, and he never wants to get married. Sadie’s high school crushes never panned out, college kept her busy with academics, and none of the men in her hometown seem to be interested. She is feeling like a loser. A three-week trip to visit her cousins in Idaho has her questioning the status quo, though. Men seemed interested in her for once. Her cousins tell her that spending so much time with Wyatt is interfering with her ability to get a date, so things need to change. She has been saving herself for someone special, but at this rate, she might even give up on that idea. Wyatt seems to want to control her though, much like an older brother. It doesn’t help that she recently took note of just how handsome he is. It isn’t something she would ever act upon, but it does have her agreeing with her cousins. She needs some space.
When Chet suggests that Sadie has become the perfect woman, Wyatt thinks he is out of his mind. Local men are apparently talking about her beauty, and the fact that she is a cowgirl makes her a real catch for those parts. Wyatt doesn’t see it, but it doesn’t take long for his eyes to finally open to the woman Sadie has become. This is a real problem for him since he never wants to ruin their friendship. The pair stumbles past awkward moments until finally their chemistry cannot be denied. They face a few problems along the way, but they eventually find their happy ending.
Watch for Chet and Arya’s story in book four, Most Obnoxious Cowboy.
Wow! The Hamiltons keep entertaining in this steamy cowboy series. Although this can be read as a standalone, this is one series in which it really pays in spades to read it all in order. This is Wyatt and Sadie’s story, but we get a great sense of family along the way. It does a great job of building the suspense. Wyatt and Sadie are in both books one and two, so by the time you get to this book, the excitement is already there. Likewise, Chet and Arya meet in book two and continue their little dance here, all leading up to their story in book four.
The story is about friendship and growing up. It is about being open to change and taking risks. It is also about dreaming and finding purpose. It centers around family and life on the ranch, where they work hard and enjoy nature. It also touches upon business concerns in a changing economy. Chet continues to play a bigger role here as his story with Arya brews in the background. Wyatt and Sadie face challenges, but they have a built-in support group when hard times happen. Wyatt has lived in the clouds a bit thanks to his wealth and being the youngest. Here, however, he decides it is time to step up. Sadie, too, is at an age when she wants to get serious, but for her, that means a relationship. At twenty-five, they are both relatively young yet, but if they don’t reexamine their friendship, it will inevitably change regardless once one of them enters a serious relationship with someone else. This book is a little less mature and steady than book two, but that reflects the age difference between Beau and Wyatt as well as their different personalities. It is thus more dramatic and over-the-top.
Wyatt and Sadie’s sweet best friend romance is full of entertaining banter that is occasionally a little over the top. There are some laugh-out-loud moments and a few crazy scenes. There are tender moments as well. The story is well-written. The plot is fairly simple. The Horseshoe Ranch saga continues in this story, immersing the reader into their cowboy lifestyle. The characters are nicely developed. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Wyatt and Sadie. I rate this book four stars.
I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
When someone who has been your true north changes the rules and boundaries on you. How do you get your equilibrium back? You see Wyatt Hamilton and Sadie Johnson have been best friends since kindergarten when Sadie saved him from a bully under the slide at school. Now at twenty-five, they are still best friends but things are changing in baby steps but they are changing. Which Wyatt is blaming his future sisters-in-law for. All their big city ways are giving her ideas. Now that they have the brothers all gaga about getting married Sadie now has her head in the clouds. Wanting love and romance for herself.
She tells the girls that none of the boys even see her as a woman. Only as little Sadie Johnson the tomboy and Wyatt’s friend. She decides she’s going to see her cousins for a few weeks. While she’s gone it is driving Wyatt crazy. Because she is not answering any of his texts or calls. Finally, he gets a text the night before she is due to come home, and she is hot because he is not available. She leaves a few choice words and then tells him to call back. So he calls her. They talk then she sends her flight number and time.
When he asked about her trip over lunch she said she went on some unusual dates. Wyatt didn't like hearing that she went on dates at all but that the guy was odd made him feel better. But he thought the one guy was just a rat. Dirty and low. On the app, he wanted to take her on a date to mini golf at 4:00 pm. Then he calls and asks her that he’s running late at work can he meet her there? She said, uhh, sure. Then, a few minutes later a call comes in, “And he says to me, ‘Hey, Elizabeth, it’s me, Paul. I’m just confirming our date for mini-golf tonight at seven. Does that still work for you?”
“He got your name wrong?” Wyatt started laughing. “No way.” “No. Remember he was meeting me at four. Elizabeth was some other girl he was going to meet at seven.” I was still flabbergasted at what had happened. “So I said to him, ‘Paul, this is Sadie, and I thought we were meeting at four.’ He swore under his breath, and then he hung up.” I frowned. “Can you believe that shet?” Needless to say, Wyatt was having a hard time letting go of his friend role. Before long he will feel cornered into making a big decision. Is Sadie more than just a friend? That's when Sadie backs him, no matter what, on a venture that puts pride in himself and he realizes Sadie always helps him see the good in himself. That's when he knew he fell in love with her under a kindergarten slide.
Sadie Johnson has been best friends with Wyatt Hamilton since they were born. Sadie has grown up with Wyatt they went to school together, elementary, middle, high school even college. When Sadie goes to Idaho to visit her cousins, she is determined to find love. All of her talk about finding love and finding the perfect boyfriend, drives Wyatt absolutely crazy. Sadie though has a dark deep secret she has always liked Wyatt more than a friend. She just plans on never telling him how she truly feels and is okay leaving Wyatt in the friend zone. Wyatt really doesn’t know what to do with Sadie, he loves her like a friend, and never sees her as a woman. Until Sadie starts dating other men then he gets angry with all the attention she gets. Wyatt also is beginning to see Sadie as a woman and realizes that he could have feelings for her too. When Wyatt kisses Sadie and she responds, will love destroy a great strong friendship or make a relationship even possible. What a wonderful friend to lovers’ contemporary romance! The story is definitely a slow burn, but when it finally moves from friends to lovers it really brings two people that are meant to be together. So yes, it begs the questions can men and women be best friends without the physical? In this case of course they can. It’s amazing though as old as both the characters are they never have done anything physical though. Especially considering the fact that the handsome, well-endowed cocky hero Wyatt is quite the playboy. Yes, he never looks at Sadie as a gorgeous woman so at times is clueless, and his range of feelings make you want to shake him; he still is so lovable. Perfect book boyfriend material because he is a cowboy with enough swagger to charm everything off you. Besides whom doesn’t love cowboys? Sadie the strong outspoken feisty heroine might be determined in her attempts she is truly marvelous. She isn’t scared of things, stands up to Wyatt and even decides to take control of her life, what isn’t to like? Out of the series even though this is the third book it is my favorite! So of course, I we happily reread it yet again!
This is book three in The Brother's at Horseshoe Ranch Series and it is Wyatt and Sadie's story and it is definitely a must read. Wyatt and Sadie have been best friend's since they were five and neighbours all there life's and they are inseparable but now Sadie wants a relationship as Wyatt has always scared the boys away in the past so she decided to go away for a while and visit her cousin's in Idaho. Wyatt missed Sadie so much while she was away but now she is back and he can't seem to understand why she needs to find a man and have a relationship when she has him but then everything changed and Wyatt didn't understand what he was feeling for his best friend Sadie but he knew that he had to ignore how beautiful and all woman that she had become and he hadn't realised until now but he couldn't go there as he couldn't loose her. Wyatt and Sadie are so perfect for each other and the connection and chemistry between them was so strong and you find yourself hoping that they will realise that they are in love with each other and they can be together and still be best friend's before it is too late. I have been patiently waiting to read Wyatt and Sadie's story and I definitely wasn't disappointed as I absolutely loved this book with all it's banter, laughs, hope, family and love and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. J S Cooper is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and the characters and storyline pulled you in right from the start and kept you engaged and turning the pages right throughout the book and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will definitely not be disappointed.
Welcome back to Horseshoe Ranch and the beautiful Montana countryside. This time find we ourselves immersed in the excitement of all the Hamilton drama but more importantly Wyatt Hamilton who seems to have been a long time coming to catching that love bug some of his brothers have recently caught. Wyatt has a best friend Sadie Johnson, that he has been tied to the hip from grade school. However, both of them are older. Wyatt, a blind fool has not been ready to see what was before him. Sadie, she is ready for love and wants that part of her life to start and if not with her best friend well then with someone else. Have to ever had that guy or girl friend you were such good friends with you just wondered for a split moment what if there was more between you, would it ruin your friendship? Would it be amazing to be in love with your best friend? How does someone come to that moment of knowing when they want to be more than just a friend with someone they have been friends with for a lifetime? This by far was my favorite book in the Horseshoe Ranch series. Watching young love develop and evolve. Seeing all the exciting happenings going on in the Hamilton lives. If this is your first read in the series or you have been a devoted reader you surely will not want to miss reading about these new turn of events. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I did not enjoy this book. I don’t understand why KU keeps recommending this author to me. This book needs an editor.
I usually love the best-friends-to-lovers trope. Sadie (FMC) and Wyatt (MMC) have been best friends since they were in kindergarten. They’re still platonically sleeping in the same bed at the big ole age of 25 (and Wyatt doesn’t understand why past girlfriends had a problem with this) whenever Sadie stays over at the family ranch. Wyatt is trying to prove he’s more than just the baby of the family (he’s the youngest of 7 boys) on Hamilton Ranch. He spends all book denying he has feelings for Sadie, even though everyone around them knows he and Sadie are meant for each other. Sadie knows she wants to get married and have kids, but doesn’t realize until Wyatt gets drunk one night and calls her over at 4am for basically no reason that she needs to figure out a career for herself. She has an epiphany that she needs to have more ambition in life than to be a wife and mother.
There’s a lot of misogyny and internalized misogyny in this book that tries to make the women out to be strong feminist characters, but it fails miserably. I guess that’s apparently the culture of ranch life?
The dialogue is pretty juvenile. And while there’s a lot of promise behind the premise of this book, the delivery falls flat. Maybe it will resonate with other readers, but it was a miss for me.
This was a fun story about two best friends, Sadie and Wyatt who grew up together as best friends and neighbors. Wyatt is a bit of a ladies man but Sadie is still a Virgin. She wants marriage and children but Wyatt's friendship with her has scared off all the guys.
She goes to visit some of her cousins and comes back with sexy lingerie and ideas on finding a husband. Thats where the story starts. Wyatt starts to see her as a woman when she shows him some of her new items and thats when he starts waking up and seeing her.
I have read many best friends to lovers stories and I felt this one was more realistic. It takes these two some time to get intimate. I would say its very much a slow burn. I also liked that this story is only about Wyatt and Sadie, they don't have any exes getting involved in this story. I also felt its also a coming of age story, where we watch Wyatt and Sadie grow up a bit in this story as well.
This is my first book in the series and I enjoyed it and felt it can easily stand alone. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series about Arya and Chet.
I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A sweet story, little to no angst. Sadie and Wyatt are best friends who do everything together. Their relationship is truly platonic until one night when Wyatt starts seeing her as a desirable woman. Sadie starts off wanting to be in a relationship wanting a boyfriend and sees from a little push from extended family that it won't happen if she is spending so much time with Wyatt. she tries to distance herself but not succeeding. Both are confused in their feelings, in the end a happy ever after.
I almost couldn't finish this book. there were times when I felt with the way Wyatt behaved Sadie should have stayed away from Wyatt or stood up for herself more. I felt like neither of them could figure out their feelings or just plain ignored it. I get what the author was going for but unfortunately poorly executed. the book was bland and verbose for way too long. and Sadie was so confused in her feelings. I felt there was no real build up ir big thing. I like the author, it this one fell way flat for me. there wasn't even an epilogue, I would have liked one on the future when the horse Wyatt bought won his first race and we see either a proposal or a pregnancy.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
One of the most frustrating aspects of this book is the transition from lifelong friendship to romance. The two main characters have been best friends since childhood and have shared a bed for years without any romantic or sexual tension. Then, seemingly overnight, the story pivots into a juvenile “sexual awakening” complete with moments like, “Show me your thong,” and “Let me show you my butt.” Instead of feeling like a natural progression, it’s awkward, forced, and frankly cringe-inducing.
The romance also relies on outdated stereotypes. The male lead has slept with countless women while the female lead remains a virgin, and her innocence borders on infantilization rather than feeling authentic. To make matters worse, the male lead is thoroughly unlikeable. His misogynistic conversations with his brother about women are meant to be funny but instead come across as immature and disrespectful.
By the end, the romance feels manufactured rather than earned. Instead of delivering a believable friends-to-lovers story, the book relies on juvenile humor, outdated gender tropes, and an implausible emotional shift. In today’s romance market, readers deserve characters with more maturity, agency, and respect for one another.
I received this ebook ARC, from the author, on the condition that I write an honest review. The ongoing story of the Hamilton family has been written with so much love, emotions, family closeness. Wyatt is the youngest of the Hamilton brothers, and has been best friends with Sadie since childhood. They share everything like, his bed, and full confessions about Wyatt’s dating history. Sadie is realizing that she is not just his best friend, but a woman trying to find her HEA. She is attracted to Wyatt, but he is not ready to settle down. Sadie begins to look beyond her friendship with Wyatt, and he does not like it. He wants to keep their friendship like before. As Sadie begins to meet other men, Wyatt becomes jealous. A trip out of town for the couple becomes more than just friendship, as they realize that the are in love with each other. Eventually after several misunderstandings, they accept that they are in love, and obtain their HEA. I’ve read several books written by J. S. Cooper, and I’ve loved each one. Her characters are always well portrayed, with all her books having tons of feelings. I recommend her books.
All I could say was WOW what a story. Wyatt Hamilton and Sadie Johnson had been attached at the hip as best friends since birth practically. They were each other's confidante in everyday still even at age twenty-five. They had grown so comfortable with the arrangement, that Wyatt did not think about how his dating other women affected Sadie, until she went to Idaho to visit family and dated while there. Wyatt stated thinking, at that point no guy was good enough for his Sadie. Everyone in his family tried to talk to him and Sadie told him, he could not tell her what to do but nothing stopped him. Wyatt sure came out with egg on his face a few times leaving Sadie totally embarrassed in his wake, but the truth of the matter was Wyatt was usually right in the long scoop of the matter. Sadie knew she wanted Wyatt, but she did not think he would ever want what she wanted. His brothers kept telling him to stop being so grumpy and get with it before he was to late. You will not be sorry, you joined the Hamilton Family at Horseshoe Ranch for all the love, excitement, and fun that goes on with a large property that includes seven grown brothers.
Sadie and Wyatt have grown as best friends living near each other on neighboring ranches. Family BBQs and get-togethers, conversations and movies, and sleepovers are all a part of the ease of Sadie and Wyatt's relationship. As they have grown into young adults they are realizing that their feelings for each other have also grown into something more than friendship. Their friends and family have known for a long time that Sadie and Wyatt belong together. As Sadie and Wyatt set plans in place for their professional futures, they begin to question the feelings they are having for each other because of a stolen kiss one night. The fun banter that Sadie and Wyatt have with each other proves they love each other deeply. Can they find a way to explain to each other that their feelings are more romantic than friendly? Will they allow themselves to give in to temptation so they can be together? Will their professional plans and goals put distance between them?
Wyatt and Sadie have been best friends forever. Now they're twentyfive or so, and their relationship is shifting. Wyatt has been hooking up randomly and Sadie is waiting for her one true love. Only, she thinks it might be Wyatt, but she's afraid to do anything about it because he is in total denial and if he doesn't get on board she would lose her best friend too. She tells him she wants to date and find someone to marry, and he gets quite jealous, without admitting it to himself. Everyone else knows they are meant to be together but Sadie and Wyatt take their time telling each other how they feel.
The writing flows well and this is well edited. I liked that they are both also thinking of their career paths, not just sex and relationships. The denial went a little too far and I found myself hoping they'd get over themselves already. Series status: This book is third in a series but it can stand alone. Two of his brothers found love in previous installments. Steam level: She does get a ride.
I received a copy of this book from the author and this is a voluntary review.
Sadie and Wyatt have been best friends since kindergarten. They have always shared everything, tell each other everything and been there for each other best and worst moments. There has never been a romantic moment between the two. Sadie is a hopeless romantic and Wyatt doesn't ever see himself getting married. However, when Sadie decides she is ready to find love and realizes that Wyatt may never be that man, their relationship changes. Can their friendship survive when they both follow their own path?
Another heartwarming Horseshoe Ranch story. I have loved reading about the Hamilton boys and their ranching life. It has been fun getting to know the family one by one. I love Sadie's character. She is already considered a member of the family and poor Wyatt is knocked on his but when he realizes she is not only the girl he has grown up with but a gorgeous woman with life goals.

This is the third book in The Brothers at Horseshoe Ranch with best friends Wyatt and Sadie. She is like a sister and family to him. They argue like a married couple with no intimacy but she always forgives him in the end. Sadie Johnson is a twenty-five-year-old single woman and has been feeling down because watching her friends Lucy and Olivia find love has made her realize just how much she wants it herself. Her best friend Wyatt is no help at all. He has never had a problem finding dates or hooking up, and he never wants to get married. Men seemed interested in her for once. Her cousins tell her that spending so much time with Wyatt is interfering with her ability to get a date. Wyatt seems to want to control her though, much like an older brother. She knows she needs space from Wyatt. Wyatt is a bit of a ladies' man but Sadie is still a Virgin. She wants marriage and children but Wyatt's friendship with her has scared off all the guys. Wyatt starts to see her as a woman when she shows him some of her new items and that's when he starts waking up and seeing her.
I could NOT finish this book. I stopped at 42 pages because I couldn't go on reading this atrocious novel anymore. To list the reasons: 1. Wyatt is a Class A, misogynistic, narcissistic asshole who has no business opening his trap before he deals with whatever burr dug under his rear end. Not to mention his total lack of Sadie's boundaries. This character and his attitude really put the state of Montana in a bad light, too. 2. Sadie seems as though she is 18 years old instead of 25 and has a lot of growing up to do. She needed to figure herself out and what she wanted in a man, instead of complaining about the lack of "good men" she thought she found in Idaho Falls, where she was visiting family members, by the way. 3. The derogatory and demeaning comments about the state of Idaho are disrespectful and rude. As someone who is not only FROM Idaho but who has family members and friends from and in Montana, I truly thought this book had promise when I read the about section on the back, but I will not be recommending this to ANYONE I know, not even a person I despise! It is that bad!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. His Favorite Cowgirl is another great read within this series. Best Friends to Lovers Sadie and Wyatt's Romance is endearing, sweet and sexy. They had known eachother since they were babies and were very close spending time together, but Sadie wanted more. She wanted to find Love but with Wyatt always around she doubted any man would touch her.Trying to make distance between them sets off a change in their feelings towards eachother, their families knew they were meant to be together. The problem is would they realise they were soul mates before it is too late. I Love the interactions between the family and the banter between sadie and Wyatt,as they begin to realise they feel more for one another than just childhood friends. J.S Cooper with her usual flair has written a sensational story that kept me entertained throughout funny, sexy and emotional it has all the elements that will keep your romantic heart enthralled. fabulous. 5 Stars.
Loving Your Best Friend Forever - Wyatt and Sadie had been best friends from aged five and were still extremely close as adults. They did nearly everything together and supported each other in every possible way. However, Wyatt seemed to have an issue with Sadie’s new life choice, but he didn’t know how to deal with it. It would take his family pointing out the obvious and his jealousy over Sadie’s dates, for him to finally take the plunge.
This book was so good I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. It was filled with clean and dirty banter, fun-filled and romantic moments, as well as sizzling sexual encounters that will leave you panting. The characters were full of life and the storyline made me wish I was part of the story. I really enjoyed reading this story and I am sure you will enjoy reading it too.

Who knows you better than your best friend your goals, your wants, your dislikes basically everything and that is no different with Sadie and Wyatt. A slow burn friendship to something more than a friendship 😉. They grew up together as best friends Sadie dreamed of find her one true love and Wyatt wanted freedom from everything so in agreeing to remain friends they also agree to go after what they want not so this is their journey to discovery so to speak. They are each other’s everything and they both want each other but their friendship gets into the way. The back and forth between them is funny, the care they have for each other is addictive and walking the journey of seeing what you both want has always been right there in front of you but where are they headed, will it lead them to their own happiness?
Sadie has been best friends with Wyatt since they were children and have always been there for each other through all the challenges that life has thrown at them. She has come to the point in her life where she is looking for love and a relationship so after a trip to visit her family she returns and decides to start dating even if it means taking a step back from their friendship.
Wyatt is single and determined to stay that way as he has his family, his best friend and a way with the ladies. He isn’t happy that Sadie has decided to start looking for the man she wants to spend her life with especially since it raises feelings in him for her that not only has he never felt before but he also doesn’t want.
This is a heartwarming story about family and love as Sadie and Wyatt push the parameters of their relationship and find what they have always wanted in each other.
