A nameless old man and his equally greying dog, Rafa, revisit memories of their past as they stake their fragile lives to fulfill a lifelong promise. When met with obstacles in the form of murderous gangs, sacrificial cults of undying worshippers, and bloodthirsty, hellish monsters of unimaginable power, they are left with no one to rely on but each other. Through mystical forests, dangerous swamplands, and corrupt cities, the two travelers will come to find that the difference between success and failure means life and death.

About the author

DC Smith is an author and voice actor based out of Northern Georgia. The Tree With Pink Leaves is his first published work and is inspired by the many years of adventures spent with his dog Rafa. Having always lived with a deep passion for the art of storytelling, he began writing in Grade 2 and has since been determined to entertain every person he has met thereafter.

Absolutely wonderful book! Now, I'm nowhere near as good with words like the author of this book, but I'll try my best to leave a good review! D.C Smith paints such a story with his words, it's unbelievable, you really feel like part of the world. The way he uses words and describes everything just makes you want to transport yourself into this mystical, fantasy world and just bask in the beauty of everything! The story is so compelling you won't want to put the book down until you're finished. And with all the illustrations, it just makes it a hundred percent more enjoyable. The pictures really help you to feel like part of the world and you'll find yourself feeling every single thing the old man feels. I just love a book that can make you visualize a world so perfectly and make you feel so intensely that you just don't want it to end. I'd highly recommend The Tree With Pink Leaves to anyone who just wants an enjoyable and emotional read.
