Wow! I’m so happy I found this series. This was everything! It had passion, heart, love, fire and suspense all in one. I was emotionally all over the place with this book. It made me laugh, had me teary and swoony the entire story. What a ride this was! I call this a modern take on Cinderella but without the evil stepsisters and mother, though the queen had me getting that vibe at first. I was hooked upon the first few words, you might even say upon reading what this book is about. Immediately I had to stop the series I was reading to start this and now I’m continuing the next story. I can’t help myself, I have to see what happens and if it will include the exact same feelings this one conveyed. This was really exciting to me, I haven’t felt this excited about a book in a while when I’ve finished it. Bridget and Fyn were amazing together. I especially loved how Fyn was so vulnerable and himself at first glance of him with Bridget. He surprised me. I thought he would have that cocky attitude and entitled personality I notice with the billionaire books I read, but we’re dealing with royalty and I thought those traits would be apparent in him too but they weren’t. He’s just Fyn, a guy who is a surfer but so happens to be part of a kingdom that resides in a tropical setting which you don’t think of when you hear the word royalty and prince. He gave his heart away the moment he had Bridget and from that moment on, she was his. There wasn’t anything holding him back from allowing love in his life except for his title and what was expected of him. He was honest, humble, open and unguarded around Bridget, as she was to him. He refused to let her go and did everything in his power to get her to stay. Can we say complete swoon! Normally the hero isn’t like this in the books I read so to have this be a factor in the story was amazing! I loved reading how Bridget was going through the motions but didn’t leave completely. When she fully admits to falling for him the cards fell where they may and it was all uphill from there but not without battles, factors and situations that didn’t make it easy. She was there with him and followed her heart, no matter how difficult the issue was and not without disapproval from Daphne who questioned her motives and thoughts the whole time. Bridget was strong, knew when to fight back and when to be silent. She was a good in between with her personality. She wasn’t headstrong or independent that she didn’t believe she needed him, it was middle ground for her and I like the heroines like this. Someone who isn’t too opinionated but also not timid or shy. I loved this book and hope more will be coming from these authors, this is a definite 5 stars for me and I wish I could give it more.
